I agree with Liz, what he said reflects more about he's feeling about himself. It's not gracious, but you seem willing to grace, which is how long term relationships endure. For what it's worth, every picture you post shows tasteful attire for the situation. Trust your judgement, you know how to dress well.
Methinks Ron was possibly feeling a little jealous of your weight loss maybe exacerbated by not feeling well?

202.1 Oh, not gonna lie... I was hoping for a 201.something today. 27 days before the big trip... I can do it... I can do it!
Decent dog show weekend. Nothing spectacular, but Buster got two Owner Handled Group 2 placements.
I am feeling like I am unable to focus on anything right now. I keep reminding myself to make lists, but then forget. I realize I have to have a handwritten list on paper. Putting things on my phone in the Notes app doesn't seem to work. I'm also finding I need to go back to a paper calendar for me summer schedule. I need the visual right now. I'm not feeling very on top of things right now. Perhaps it is the pending retirement? I dunno??? I know I'm certainly not motivated to plan fantastic and thoughtful music lessons. This week it is prepping grades 3-5 for music performances next week. My first and second grades, hmmm... review, some grade level appropriate music videos??? With only 2 sessions per class left for the year, I don't really want to start something new.
Interesting interaction between Ron and me last Thursday or Friday. I came out of the bedroom wearing a size XL polo shirt and asked him if he wanted it because I thought it was too big. I asked if he thought it was one size too big or possibly two sizes. He snapped at me and told me I needed to get over my body dysmorphia and that the shirt was just fine. "You lose weight and you think everything should be tight..." and he kept going for a few more seconds... I do think the shirt was too big because it's a polo shirt and it pleated in the front and the shoulder seam was a few inches down my arms. Yes, I do like looking trim... but I think that's a good thing. What do y'all make of that exchange? (Full disclosure, he was coming down with a major UTI, so maybe he was not feeling well...)
On Saturday the temperature was in the upper 90s and sunny! Yesterday sunny, breezy and upper 70s. Today... in the 50s, cloudy and on and off rain. YUCK! To me, yesterday's weather was perfection.
Not much else from here...
120.8 - up another pound but for good reason given the pizza I had for dinner last night. Really hit the spot as we haven't had pizza in months due to DH's diet.
DH's friend did make it to our meeting place yesterday. He drove 1.5 hours for lunch, stayed for about the same amount of time, then drove home. Funny duck this guy. We stopped on the way back at our outdoor music place where they had a Beatles tribute band playing. They were really good, playing all the oldest songs in the 2 sets we listened to. However I do feel like they could lose the suits and wigs as these guys were older than us so looked more silly in the getups in 85 degree heat than they looked like the Beatles at a young age.
Today it looks like it will rain most of the day which is really needed. Not sure there will be enough of a break for a long Justice walk. Water aerobics may not happen either though I actually wouldn't mind that as I am feeling lazy. I will put the last coat of paint on nightstand #2 (waxing is the last phase tomorrow). I probably should start some packing to determine if I need to ship anything. We leave in 13 days. Right now I am thinking I don't need to ship but laying everything out will help determine that.
I am making chicken Marsala tonight with broccoli and riced cauliflower. Back to healthier eating.
Have a mod Monday!

Wow, the wedding is almost here! I hope your weather is as beautiful that day as it was for you yesterday.
How nice that DC1 surprised you. They clearly really appreciate everything you do for them.

A Home Goods visit is always a good trip especially if you are not looking for something specific. I think it is my SIL's favorite shop.
Your resort has really come together ;)

Roasted cherry tomatoes sound good! I love anything with tomatoes.

No weight again since my morning was still in Door County but I know it will be up!
DC1 went all out for Mother's Day. Bought me flowers, a cake and grilled dinner for us. They also bought kabobs for tomorrow night's dinner. Very thoughtful and appreciated. The other two boys weren't able to make it but both texted me well wishes. DSD sent me a very nice card. The weather was beautiful so DH, DC1 and I sat out on the patio. It was glorious!
Busy week ahead. Tomorrow is hair cut and color and a mani/pedi for wedding ready nails. Tuesday I get a spray tan and Wednesday morning we take off for Fargo (an 8 hour drive). Thursday we have to run wedding errands, take possession of the grandcat for the rest of the week and have a rehearsal dinner. Friday is the wedding. Saturday will be recovery day (I hope) and we will drive back home on Sunday. I'll try to post as much as I can but can't guarantee it will be daily!
Hope you all had a great weekend and that the week ahead is fabulous!

Hello! I had a nice day yesterday. My friend Cathy and I went to Flagstaff for the day. Mostly to go to Home Goods. When you live in a town with literally nothing but tourist shops a good Home Goods visit is a treat! She is really fun to shop with. I got a couple of green rope chairs that will be easy to move around and they are the exact color of my new outdoor umbrellas and pillows.
I got Kirby a new toy basket as he broke the last one, a coffee table book, some kitchen doodads, a bunch of birthday cards... None of it necessary, but all of it fun. She filled a cart too with a few little stone topped tables and a lamp among other things. she inspired me with the birthday cards. They're so cute and so inexpensive there compared to Hallmark or the drugstore. She set a goal for herself this year to send birthday cards to everyone whose birthday she knows. She said it's been a lot of fun and people seem to be thrilled because nobody gets fun mail anymore. Maybe I'll do the same...
It's been hot here in the high 80s. Today, I drove down to the nursery in the next town (only tourist shops here, remember!) I'm got a plant to replace one of the new ones that's already died. So not a super exciting day, but not a bad one either! I desperately need to go to the grocery store, but it's pretty much the last thing I want to do right now...
Take care all!
Greetings all
Mixed day here. No rain but it is windy. I am dawdling about. Decided I MUST pick up my desk and put away clothes and other chores before I go anywhere. If I leave it until later in the day it will just not happen. Clothes are already done. Desk beckons.
I am enjoying Paula's exploits in Door county. Love the dresses. Shopping for cute stuff - what a concept!!
So shout out to all Mothers! Enjoy your day. When I was in high school I worked at KFC. Mother's day was the biggest business day of the year. July 4 was second.
So we watched more of the second series of Pokerface last night. There is banjo music in parts of it with our nephew playing it. And the banjo is an old but fine one that belonged to DH's dad. He used to play it on a local tv show. It has been restored. Nice for it to have a new life. DH's family is all very musical. Truly gifted.
Yay for all of you *****ceived flowers. Yep flowers rock. Everything is blooming around here. Reminds me to get busy with the deck garden.
I found a recipe for roasted cherry tomatoes I might try. Olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Looks good. Something to do with this giant vat of cherry tomatoes I purchased on impulse.
DD what a load of fun events for you. Wish I knew the magic words to make your parents change their living arrangement. In the case of my mother, we had help from one of her PHD students who told her it would be better for her to choose her own living arrangements now rather than wait until she took a fall (which was inevitable due to Parkinson's and her house of stairs) and then get forced into a horrible nursing home. Kim really leaned (and exaggerated) for which I am grateful because it needed to happen. She and Pat packed a few bags and just left the whole house behind and it turned out well. My mother was a hoarder as well so it sat there but it was all ok. Wishing you the best on all this.
Yoo Hoo CC!!
Wishing you all Mexican food this week.
