Liz, I can feel your joy! And sometimes you just need to be able to hug them and gaze at them, especially when there are health concerns. What a fun weekend you'll have! How did DH manage to keep your calendar open this weekend without making you suspicious?

Thursday night we had a nice evening g at the last of our Pub Nights for the season. It was a long day though. I left the house at 7am, and didn't return until 9:30 pm. I worked, then conferences, then straight to the venue where I met up with DH and our friends.

Yesterday I used a sick day to meet with the Surgical Weight Loss clinic I use. If they prescribe Wegovy, they want to see you every 6 months. They do order bloodwork frequently, and follow ups if something looks wonky. Like 6 months ago my copper was high, so they wanted to check it again, a d yep, now normal. I like the monitoring, but it can get expensive, since I have a 20/80 plan. Expense off set by the fact that I pay about $27 a month for my prescription.

After my medical appointment, I drove out to my niece for my hair appointment. Feeling fresh. :)

Today we went for coffee, cruised St. Vinny's and now we're home. There are many chores I could do but I started a book last night I must finish. I am very unmotivated lately, both at home and work. I don't think the spring forward is going to help energize me!

Thank you! Your reply made me smile inside and out.

I forget that my schedule is often much more than "average".

My ****tail of choice lately is a French 75, but I also enjoy a Paloma from time to time. Sounds like a fun night.

212.4 My body had damn well better start cooperating! This uptick is no longer bueno by me! But again, all I can do is keep on keeping on. I'm not over eating, so I just have to roll with it.

Liz, what a fabulous surprise!!!! DH is a good secret keeper! Have a wonderful weekend with your daughter!

It is a gorgeous, clear, sunny, crisp morning here. To repeat myself: my favorite type of day during the early spring!

Brag for the week is that I hit the gym each evening M-F this week.

A rare unscheduled weekend for me. I've been sipping coffee, net surfing and doing not much else since I got up after sleeping until 7:30. Soon it will be time to feed the dogs, feed myself and pick some projects for the day.

Hoping for a Satisfying Saturday for me!

What a wonderful surprise Liz! Have fun with DD and SIL.

128.something (can't remember the exact number but at least .4)

Dinner and drinks with friends was fun last night! I got a chicken taco salad and ate about half of it. One fruity tropical drink with rum and one Paloma.

Today is pretty much a lazy day at home. Finished up my assignment for my character development class and have been scrolling on the phone. DH got the cars washed and picked up a few needed items at the grocery store. Tonight is steak bites with blue cheese and a salad! Steak is my least favorite protein but DH really likes it so I will tolerate it every once in a while.

119.6

Surprise! When I got home from yoga, I heard my daughter's voice down the hall, then she and her husband appeared! I had no idea they were coming to celebrate my birthday a bit early (a week from tomorrow). Apparently they had this weekend booked since December. What an amazing gift.

So maybe the cold and my crappy golf are related. I sure do hate being cold. I guess we shall see if I improve when it gets warmer.

DD may not have her biopsy this week after all. She has a low platelet count so has to have more blood tests on Monday. From what I have read it is possible that the low platelet count is actually the cause of her bleeding so she may need a specialist other than a gynecologist to figure that out. Always something to worry about.

Today we are going to a Tiki bar on the water for lunch, then to the outdoor venue for music. DD's favorite places (and mine). Today is also DH's 1/2 birthday (is that a thing?).

Time for a Justice walk, then water aerobics, followed by tiki bar and music, then I don't know what. Have a surprising Saturday!

I bet those sore lats are related to your weight gain. This is what AI says:

  • Exercise-induced muscle damage (EIMD) Structural damage to muscle tissue that occurs after exercise. This damage leads to inflammation and fluid build-up, which can cause temporary weight gain.
