Liz, that is a fine looking automobile! I love my little SUV (Chevy Equinox). I like being a little higher up, but not too high, and getting in and out is smooth. My BIL has a Cadillac Escalade (the last of an era), very nice riding, but it takes some doing to pull myself up and in.

Ah Diane, sorry you have crud. Stuff is going around for sure, some of it Covid, and some of it other virus concoctions. Either way, you fell crappy. Get better soon.

Paula sounds like you're having a nice visit with your DSD.

I'm sure I could have enjoyed the football game on a 70 degree day, but 56, with a wind, mostly in the shade= misery. I tried to dress warm, and even brought a blanket. I also tried to keep a game face because DH does so much that I want to do, and I want to do for him too. But geeze I hate being cold. And why are football minutes so ridiculously long? We were there for HOURS. Anyhow, we're home now, and DH is getting a fire going, so the family room should be toasty warm soon. Maybe I'll ask for an old fashioned for good measure.

Greetings all

Yesterday's scratchy throat has turned into a cold. Sent DH to the store for cold pills, zinc and covid tests. I think I will wait until tomorrow to test. Meanwhile I am lounging about and have a case of faucet face. Box of Kleenex is my constant companion. At least I am not hungry. Broth and crackers for me. Hoping I recover and can still host Halloween. Guess I can make disclosures and wear a mask.

Meanwhile our football team lost but barely. DD I hope you are having fun at the Mn game. Go Gophers.

Liz thats a great looking car. Enjoy. Yeah I am with you - some big cars feel like you are driving the Enterprise. Don't know how people do it.

Yep Paula a chicken taco is the best mexican order. Yum.

Not much else. I had planned to make chili but DH brought home turkey wraps. Chili tomorrow.

Glad I got the adulting done yesterday. Today is a tv infused pity party.

154.8. Still staying within a 1 pound stall!

Sunny day but chilly. Going to continue to work on organizing my scrapbook crap. I'm making headway!

Tonight is dinner out at a close by Mexican restaurant. I like the place because I can order 1 chicken taco a la carte and not have leftovers. I'm not a fan of leftovers, even from a restaurant.

DSD and I are going to a TIK TOK famous nurse stand up show at our local performing arts center. We should appreciate the medical humor! Sometimes you do just have to laugh at all the crazy things patients do!

Have a sizzling Saturday!

Weight 118.8. I just bounce around but seem to be able to eat what I want. I had 2 pieces of pizza last night and was almost over-full.

Those of you retiring next year will LOVE it. You both have much to keep busy with. You will probably miss the people from work but not much else.

And Paula, get that passport! You never know when a great opportunity will come up.

Diane S: Halloween parties! I think after making costumes and preparing otherwise for 3 kids over 30+ years burnt me out over Halloween. We are glad not to have to deal with Trick or Treaters and feel no urge to go to the club Halloween party.

Ann, sounds like you are making great progress toward your move. When the new place is decorated we may need pictures!

CC, I hope your new pictures look fabulous in their spaces.

Her is our new SUV - not big because I didn't want anything bigger though DH might have liked it. We have friends with the X7 and it is like a tank getting in and out of it. After driving a Lincoln Navigator this summer for the Bachelorette party I knew I had to avoid that feeling of being a midget driving a bus in the future.

Have a satisfying Saturday!

I asked DH if he was a grunter when he lifts weights and he said no way. He pointed out that some people grunt when they hit a tennis ball too. Weird.

I am sure homecoming will end up being fun (especially if not too cold). So sorry about your co-worker. That sounds rough.

You do have an incredibly full schedule! I probably told you all previously that my MIL told me when she retired that she just didn't have time to go to work anymore. I thought that was such a great reason to retire. So sad when people say they can't retire because they don't know what they would do with themselves.

We got a BMW X3. Both of us like BMWs - DH traded in his 435i coupe and I still have a convertible back north. DH would have preferred a corvette LOL. We both would have had an even harder time getting in and out and of course no back seat at all (at least my convertible has a small one that the dog rides on). In lieu of that DH would have preferred a larger model but I just don't like driving them bigger. Jealous on the Firebird with the T-roof. I wanted one of those for years but it was never practical with a child.
