I just have to say you are crazy for doing that long drive after flying home. You sure have a lot more energy than I do. What a difference 6 years makes!
But I am not surprised about your increase in mobility, etc. after seeing those pictures of you in Disney. You look very fit!

Liz, Welcome home!
Miss Bonnie, good for you on all that cleaning!!!!!
DD, 64 degrees sounds delightful to me today! LOL.... It's all in one's perspective, isn't it?
CC, glad your little rascal is keeping you and the trainer on your toes. So, so glad you got those hideous fandeliers out of your life!
Diane S, YOU COOKED! I'm impressed.
Paula, sending you all kinds of love and strength. No one should have to navigate what you are trying to manage right now.
Lizanne... Gaining 5 pounds? I hate you!
I got home from Disneyland yesterday at about 9:30 am. Thank you travel gods for allowing me to see there was an earlier flight to our airport! I asked if there was room and there was plenty. We got the seats and got home about an hour and a half earlier than planned, so I got on the road to Oregon about an hour before planned! I drove for 10 hours and arrived just as the last of the light was leaving the sky (about 9:30 PM).
Up early and off to the dog show. Molly did well. And we have some very pretty ribbons. She got an Owner Handled Terrier Group 1 at an All Terrier Show. So that's basically like a Best in Show, right? LOL! We are both tired and are ready to hit the pillow and sleep hard.
I feel like I have been absent this week because of travel. I have not weighed since Monday, so no clue how the Disney trip influenced my weight. I doubt much. I was not terribly hungry while there, and when I did eat, I became "full" very quickly.
Note to self: DO NOT INJECT TIRZEPATIDE WHEN COLD - EVEN WHEN IN A HURRY!!!! It did not burn going in. Didn't even sting. However, within 30 minutes the general location of the injection site "burned"/"stung" for a couple of hours. I am blaming Paula because that has never happened, but since it happened to her, it has now happened to me! The power of suggestion? The med was refrigerator cold? Or perhaps, I sleep through it because I normally take the injection right before bed on Thursday nights???? Who knows. I hope it was an isolated incident.
I am feeling pretty good about my weight loss so far. My mobility is vastly improved and my recovery from all the walking at Disneyland was fast. A night's sleep and the soreness of the evening before was a mere memory. Also, I can once again tie my shoes with absolutely no discomfort. That was a stated goal! Whoo hooo!!!!!!
Off to bed for me... More shows tomorrow and Sunday and then a looooooonnnnnggggg drive home Sunday after showing.
The Haunted Mansion is currently closed. They are re-doing the entire queue and gardens. Not sure if there are any updates planned for the interior of the ride though. That information is under lock and key!
Hey, if you're coughing, you're not choking! People should know that and stop gawking!
Yikes! I hope your friend can get the .25 for her next dose, and save the.5 for later!
When it really kicks in you will forget the word starving (hungry yes but not starving). It basically doesn't exist when the medication is at a good level.

I think a good bit of the early loss is reduction of inflammation as your body starts to manage glucose differently. Coincides with better feeling joints too.
This is one thing I read:
"Often inflammation is held in the body's tissues so when tirzepatide is started and the extra GLP-1 attaches to these receptors, the body releases tha****er and the inflammation is reduced, if not completely resolved.

Weight down 4 lbs. from where my "normal" had been. Am I correct that the weight loss from the GLP 1 meds isn't just from calorie reduction but from hormonal and maybe metabolic changes. My daily calories are only a little less but the weight is coming off pretty good I would say! Burning calories more efficiently? That would be awesome because it has always been more of a metabolism problem vs. food volume problem for me.
Took my Mom home today. I'm meeting one of my besties out for dinner in my home town. Will sleep on an air mattress at Mop's assisted living apartment and head home early as DC#1 will be discharged tomorrow from the hospital and will need a ride home.
Starving right now. I had my super protein shake for breakfast but nothing since then. BFF and I are going to an upscale Mexican place with lots of seafood selections. Right up my alley!
I'll update about DC a little more on the TT board after dinner.
