Down another pound! That makes 7!
Protein smoothie for breakfast, cottage cheese with dried mangoes for lunch and a Hello Fresh beef bowl for dinner. That Hello Fresh meal is 980 calories! Crazy! I won't eat a full serving but it will still be over 600 calories and puts my daily calories over my 1,000 goal by 172. I guess no chocolate for me today!
Plan is to walk with a friend this afternoon but it has been on and off rain so not sure that will happen. DC just left (angry I suppose) because I am cutting them off a bit on money. I asked what they needed it for and they said not to worry about it and then got up and left. Trying to guilt me into giving it to them I guess. Booooooo!
Safe Travels Diane! Hope you get out without any hiccups!
CC, where in MI is your Dad again? I forget!
Liz, I'm sure the difference in scales is the real reason the weight appears to have jumped up 2 pounds. Try not to sweat it.
Diane S, glad you had a good visit with your brother and the dogs mostly got along.
Miss 150, nice that you are now Miss 140's. I'm looking forward to getting back down there!
Chipmunks are creatures I'm not familiar with, outside of Alvin, Theadore, and Simone. Hearing your personal perspective and classification of them has jaded my formerly positive view of them for life!
Have a most enjoyable and adventurous trip.

Liz, kiss the 2#s off to the difference between scales-
Surprised to describe live creatures found under a bag just lifted up? I've been known to find myself, seconds later, mysteriously yards away from such a discovery as yours. I'm not frightened- just startled by living, breathing creatures being where they should not be. (Think snakes in a tree, for example.)
Glad to report that all scrap books, letters, blah blah are in 3 large black garbage bags out side waiting for Saturdays hauling. More coming out of window boxes to go through, say goodbye and (I'm trying to rationalize this as) return to their original owners, however or wherever that may be.
Cloudy and may rain so continuing inside today. DH and Swanny out digging potatoes and onions
Oh, and Devon! I can't get over the picture of you and the sweet Bug-pup. Your smile and face...so happy and handsome!
130.2 - up 2 pounds in the last week! I know I ate more but not that much more. I expected to be within 2/10ths of last week (up or down) so it is disappointing. I'm guessing part of it is the change in scales since I had an almost 3 pound drop on the first week in Aruba.
More progress was made in the dejunking of the house yesterday. Both basement storage rooms are clear and all cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms are clean and organized. All latex paint cans have been opened and filled with kitty litter to dry it up. And I found out why the neighborhood chipmunk population has been in and out of my garage. There was a bag of bird seed underneath a bunch of junk that they have been feasting on. When I lifted the bag, 2 of them were in it! Surprised all of us. I cleaned out the residual so hopefully the word gets out that mealtime has dried up.
After working all day we met friends at the local vineyard for drinks and music and dinner at a locals restaurant (the tourists started arriving yesterday for July 4th week).
Right now we are sitting on a sunny cafe patio near the water having coffee after walking Justice for an hour. The housekeeper is cleaning this morning so we are doing errands. After coffee we will go buy insulation to replace the stuff in the ceiling of one storage room where mice lived at some point apparently. Possibly we will get the storage unit and start to move DS's excess stuff this afternoon.
Have a fructifying Friday!

Good morning! Overcast and raining again. Hoping for a couple of sunny days in a row I California. The local news said we have not had more than 2 days in a row without rain since May 14.
Liz, do you think your uptick could be from water retention, due to your increased inflammation this week? I bet when you are at DHs house and not packing and moving all kinds of stuff, you'll let go of a lot of fluid. And the chipmunks, ugh! They are as loathsome as squirrels. We used to have a huge chipmunk population in our yard, and then one summer we heard an owl hooting every night for several weeks. That alone was delightful, but this magical creature had a palate for chipmunks, and suddenly they were all gone. We were chipmunk free for a few summers, but sadly they've returned this year.
Yeah CC, glad you arrived safely in Michigan. I hope you and Kirby are in for a great Midwestern summer.
I'm all packed up except toiletries. The news here keeps telling us that there will be an overwhelming number of travelers today, so we're going to the airport earlier than usual. We have our parking reserved, and TSA precheck , so I think it will go fine. If you have to hang out in an airport, Minneapolis is a good place to be.
Diane S, how wonderful your brother arrived, and you're out and about. Hope the dog issues continue to be resolved.
Late check in on iPad. Brother has come and gone and we had a great time. A few complications with his dog and ours but it worked out. Went avenue of giants and other stuff. More later when at key board,

Greetings from Michigan! My two very sweet friends drove me up to Flagstaff for my flight. The jet was enormous and just for Kirby and me. Any concerns I had about the cost flew out the window the second one of the pilots told me it would take two hours and 25 minutes to get here. I would hardly be out of Flagstaff had a driven two hours and 25 minutes! Kirby was good for his flight and settled down with a bully stick, then napped.
Michigan was only in the 60s today, but beautiful. Kirby was very well-behaved and has my dad and his wife convinced that my complaints about his behavior all in my head. Just wait until he settles in and doesn't feel nervous about his new environment! Then they'll get to meet the real Kirby who is always sweet, but could dance outside your last nerve like no other dog. Claudia took him to the beach while I went to the grocery store and he was unimpressed. I think this should-be water Dog is missing that programming. But we'll work on it. My Embrace pharmacy 10 mg comes tomorrow, so no worries about timing for my next shot. They apparently mix theirs with B12 so that should be interesting as should the fact that I have to inject 125 units! I'm sweating currently doing 75. I think I'll break it up into two syringes and take a break in between.
Funnily enough, nobody mentioned my weight loss or how I look. I'm a little miffed, ha ha. I had bought a container that looks like a thermos to refrigerate my medication and it was sitting on my counter when Claudia came in and asked what it was. I couldn't think fast enough on my feet so I just said it's for medication. She probably now thinks I'm diabetic and I'm just not telling them, I'm sure it will come up at some point...
I think that's it for me right now. I think I need to go to bed!

I love the name Bug! And I have recent first-hand experience with that crate screaming... Wishing you a peaceful night ahead.
A day without DC. Was kinda nice to get a break and they had fun hammocking with a new friend (met her in the outpatient therapy program they were in).
Good eating day. Protein bar for breakfast, protein smoothie for lunch and spicy crab and avacado for dinner with my 2 squares of dark chocolate sometime in the afternoon. Just under 1,000 calories for the day.
Had woman's Bible study this morning, short nap after lunch, work a bit on getting ready for my next art show and then sushi date with DH. Will watch a bit of the debate until I can't stand listening to Trump anymore.
It has been many years since I have had a puppy that was not born and raised here. That is the preface to reporting that Bug (the puppy's current name) screamed bloody f**king murder before settling down for the night in her crate. Luckily, once she was done screaming, she was done for the entire night. I gave her a big crate because I knew she wouldn't be able to last the night and would need a potty area. Good call. She wet at the back of the crate and slept in the front. I got up at 6 am to let her out. Upon return to her crate she screamed for a good 10 minutes, much to Ron's chagrin. Luckily, somewhere along the way I have learned that they always quiet down. You just have to ride it out. I am already deeply infatuated with her.
Weight was the same today as yesterday.
I'm confused by my latest Orderly Meds fulfillment. I got a smaller bottle of meds than I did for my 7.5 mg dose. I got a 2 ml bottle of meds which is the same size as my first bottle that was 20 mg (2 ml) working out to be four 5 mg doses. This bottle is labeled 40 mg, 2 ml, and says it's four 10 mg doses, but the directions call for 50 unit injections which I understand to be a 5 mg dose. . I don't start with the new dose until next week, so I'll figure it out, but sheesh.... Does not boost my confidence in the company - especially since there were prescription issues this past time, too. Hmmmm.....
Not much else.... Had a client dog this morning, fetched the RV for this weekend, groomed Bug a bit, accompanied Aunty Kathryn on an errand to a sketchy part of a neighboring town, etc...
It's hot out this afternoon so I'm just taking it easy.
