Hospital stays, yah, there is a time when I am definitely glad to be in a spot where there are skilled nursing and doctors. The minute I transition to recovery, HOME is truly the place to be.
Good on you for voting- local politics, often ignored, is where we truly have a say in affairs.
Crazy, isn't it? These last few # I chalk up to this moving adventure- am certainly getting my strength training in. My Covid regain was a bit over 50#- sweet spot is 145 and will be happy to hang around here.

Oh what an awful cascade of events! How kind of you all to help them on their return. Poor puppy too...
My dad was not kept overnight. They purposely did not mention his history of sepsis as that usually means they keep him for days. They changed the stent and loaded him up with mega antibiotics and sent him home. Better place to heal than a hospital. He was pretty awful last night as he is a very dramatic, mean sick person, but was joking and seemed happier today though still a little weak.
My bites are still so itchy and my pants keep brushing against them and making them itch more. Waaaaah! Talk about dramatic! I knew I got it from someone...
Chilly again today with a north wind, but it sure makes for a beautiful clear day with no humidity.
Scale was down .4 today to 189.6.
I have tidying to do today (when don't I?) and my new mesh router comes today so I need to install that. And I need to finish my ballot and mail it back. Not much on it but county elections since I live outside the city limits. Somewhat aggravating to be affected by a town's policies, but not be able to vote on the people that make them.

Good morning all ! One of my Mahjongg friends has been doing a two month RV trip out west with her boyfriend and two dogs. BF is in his seventies and went into Afib in New Mexico, and ended up with a pacemaker. He typically does most of the driving in their massive A, towing a big Jeep. They slowly were making their way back (2 hours a day...he wasn't cleared to fly) and had an accident in Arkansas. They totaled the RV and the Jeep, he broke his wrist and one of their dogs wa**** and killed on the highway. Several of us offered to fly out to help, but they wanted to finish insurance/police paperwork and wait until BF was cleared to fly, and they arrive home today. We have been preparing meals and stocking them up on groceries. Don't know a lot of the details, but they lost most of what was in their RV. I know I'd pack things like coffee, OJ, butter, eggs etc. to finish up from my kitchen before buying new. We've tried to anticipate basics needs they may need when they arrive late tonight. Let's be reminded... live every moment of every day to its fullest. Chip away at that bucket list.... If not now, when ?

Kinda late getting in- another day of this and that. There's still a bit of finishing up, but the end is near...realtors will be here for the walk through Friday morning.
****ly, I was told that certain peoples breath attracts misquotes; also found this, Smithsonian, ....Blood type, metabolism, exercise, shirt color and even drinking beer can make individuals especially delicious to mosquitoes.....Must be all that beer you've been slugging down, eh?

Here are books suggested by my college group. They all sound good!

Greetings all
It's sunny and lovely today. I am feeling better than yesterday during which I felt old, achey and *****y. Advil helped. Ditto glass of wine.
I spent time at the studio today and made some things and glazed. Looks like the water is all fixed. I stopped at the hippie grocery and impulse shopped at the deli. Got some lean roast beef, humus, ham and cheese roll up and such. Also organic almonds.
Gallery meeting last night was fine. I told DH I only had to kill two people! LOL. Our new president managed to move things along fairly easily. But geez, where do people learn that they have to comment on every single item 6 times?? I had a presentation about our lease and negotiations which I am handling. Hopefully I made the point that too many cooks spoil the soup and we can't have 25 people participating in the process. My pet peeve is people who talk all the time with no clue what they are talking about. End of rant.
Liz glad you are comfy in new digs and now on the plane. Wow, thud cat! Some cats are klutzes but not many. Hope it adjusts. That cat whisperer guy used to say to put up all these shelves to the cats have an elevated freeway around the room. Sounds like a lot to me. Enjoy beach club.
CC sorry your dad is having issues again. Hope things are cleared up easily. And a pox on those mosquitoes! Has anyone found any repellant that really works? I am one of those people that they eat alive and as a kid it made me dislike woodsy nature stuff. I was alway on the buffet. I assume there is heart worm prevention for Kirby.
Peps I am thinking that Jiffy is headed off for her "coronation" as a princess. We all know she will have a great life. Hope you got to see your dad.
DD enjoy your read day. My college group is chasing a read for further discussion. One book is a sci fi novel where women evolve to have an anatomical condition allowing them to have an electric eel effect; thereby permitting them to physically dominate men. There were some other ones that sounded good. I will post it if I can figure out how.
Not much else. DH is AWOL. He may be on a grocery mission.

I got a little teary reading about Jiffy. Of course she will be a happy girl and the Princess of her new home! But letting her go and knowing she will have to go through a (hopefullly very short) uncomfortable transition is hard, so I'm sure this is difficult for you. But I bet you'll be getting happy pics of her soon!
And yes, Prime Day get me every year. Bissell mini carpet and upholstery cleaner (good for dogs and cat messes) and misc other stuff. So far.
