I just checked and the forecast looks good through 2/12 now. The winds must have changed. If true, hopefully the following week should continue to be nice. This is what Weather Channel is showing for February:

Was that a Homary sink (vs Hombray)? That was the closest I could find. Seemed like a cool sink with all kinds of options for drop-in stuff.

What a nightmare for your Dad, Claudia, and you! Is there any way you could actually have these stents ordered ahead and keep them on hand since this seems to recur pretty frequently? I hope your Dad recovers quickly - he has been through a lot.

44 degrees here, almost as warm as Kentucky! It feels practically balmy after the subzero temps last week. Yeah for a nice spell of consistent warmth in Florida. Keep it going Florida, I'll see you in a couple of weeks!

Heated bathroom floors do sound wonderful. My BIL put them in his kitchen, which is above a crawl space and was always cold, and in his bathrooms. I like to go stocking footed at their house :)

CC, so sorry for you and your Dad. My SIL had that same procedure to drain a kidney and it did work, but does not sound like a procedure anyone should have to endure. Yeah to your volunteer treasurer term finally being up!

Diane, you'll have to let us know if the very special beef was indeed special.

2nd semester, also know in my head as final semester, is underway. We had our ICE meeting. It was reassuring that even if they have a warrant, they won't be entering the academic wing. The bigger issue is to be aware there are students who are scared, and to interrupt or disrupt bullying and taunts of ICE is coming for you etc. That's a given. Anytime I hear mean or bullying comments, I stop them. Nothing bugs me more than students being mean as a way to entertain themselves.

Greetings all

Sunny and brisk again. Rain is supposed to come in Thursday. Guess I had better soak up sun while I can.

Scrabble this morning. Lost all my games though a couple were close. Am I getting stupid or just sloppy? After that I had DH meet me at the vet with Poppy for her annual exam. All is well but she sure was fussy.

Home now enjoying some lemon risotto from the deli. Yum.

CC so sorry to hear your dad is hospitalized again. Hoping the additional procedure provides relief and that he is not too uncomfortable. Distances don't help either.

But boy is that totem a cool thing. Kirby must not eat feathers. Art is not for snacking.

Laundromat Ann, how quaint!! Good that there are helpful attendants. I use one to wash our bed cover as it's too big for a home washer. If I get there early enough they wa**** for me. Enjoy the bathroom transformation. Heated floors! Posh.

Speaking of remodeling, a friend sent me a video of her new Hombray kitchen sink. It's astonishing in the array of features. I had no idea there was such a thing. Check it out.

Safe drive Liz. And enjoy the long overdue nice weather.

I bought some hamburger labeled as "gourmet hamburger" at the health store. It's wagyu beef I think. Curious to see if it is any different. Impulse purchase.

Between the early morning and the high carb lunch I feel a nap coming on.

Oh, CC! That's a lot on your plate at one time. I'm sorry you're having to deal with all that.

I'm sending my very best wishes for your dad's return to good health. I know you're doing all you can for him. Sending you best wishes, too.

Quick check in. My dad is in ICU with another clogged stent. The hospital didn?p't have one like it to replace it. Ane after 6 hours in the ER in Flagstaff, driving 3 hours to Mayo in Scottsdale and then starting over with the ER waiting an additional 6 hours would have made his kidney a ticking timebomb. So we opted to stay in Flag for a procedure he has not had before (a nephrostomy) to poke a hole through his back into the kidney to drain it while they try to order a new stent. I feel so terrible for him. It will be a long slog back to good health and strength.

In between driving through snow and ice to and from Flagstaff (finally got a small storm), I had to do the budget for the non-profit I am leaving, train my treasurer replacement in how to put together the regular treasurer's report, and be around for the totem pole assembly guy. It looks good. Kirby already stole an Eagle feather and chewed on it. Grr. I'm tired.

Hope you all are well. Hopefully I'll be back to reading and posting soon. Take care
