Seems like you all have a wonderful relationship. How lucky to be able to have this close family time while your children are in that busy time of life.

I have had COVID twice and DH has had it three times. Neither of us ever had a fever. By all rights I should have also gotten it the last time DH had it, but I didn't. So hopefully you will get a pass.

We went whale watching today! DH always wants to go, and I always beg off because I'm afraid of getting sea sick. The weather has been calm, so I thought I'd take a chance, and I was totally fine. We saw several humpback whales. One seemed to come up close to the boat quite deliberately, and gave us several views of her beautiful tail. There was also a pod of dolphins who were feeling rambunctious, and treated us to some hijinks. Very satisfying outing.
DS has to leave tomorrow. It's been so delightful to have the 4 of us together. DH really enjoys it so much also. I was telling DD that it took us longer to run an errand (DH, DS and me) because the two of them had to try all the buttons/features in the rental car, and walk around the car to figure out where all the cameras were. This is the kind of "fun" I'm no good at : )
We were talking about some older (than me) relatives and why they did the things they did. I said to DD, I'm sure you and your brother have some things to say about us, to which she replied, don't worry, we say them to your face. Haha, at least we know what they're thinking.
I hope it skips you! I've had Covid 3 times, and DH did not get it from me. He had it once, and I didn't get it from him. It's a mystery how it infects some, and then skips over others.
Stay the course and damn the torpedoes as it were! Face forward; easier waters ahead soon (so says my 8ball which is hardly ever wrong).
You are going to have such a good time! When you get a chance, post your general route surprise and adventures when they pop up.
Your dinner and company mixed well. Fun food is for such times and is to be had without any thoughts other than the enjoyment of it all.

My stepmom took my dad to the hospital for fluids. He was acting really weird and we couldn't get him up out of the chair to walk him to the car, so called 911 to help. The house is built up and there is no way to get in or out without steep stairs and we were afraid he would fall and hurt himself. They helped him out of the house, took vitals (bp was 94/42, so he was really dehydrated which is terrible for him and the kidney) and a trip to the ER got him a Covid diagnosis! Claudia had it over the weekend. They both thought it was a cold as neither had a fever. He got an IV at the hospital and is home feeling a little better. Sucky summer for him so far!
Hoping my Covid free streak continues. My hypochondria is whispering that my throat might feel scratchy.
Greetings all
Sunny here and almost but not quite hot. Works for me. I did my usual trip to the studio and glazed some new things. Also did banking and picked up payroll plus financials. I find we have a 9 am board meeting so I had better read this stuff. Thats on the early side for this old owl but I will manage. All kinds of proposed projects so we shall see.
Yeah muscle mass is an issue for us old people. I am sure I lost what little I had. During covid I was even more sedentary than usual and when it gets harder and harder to move it becomes easier to just sit around. Awhile back when I had that tendinitis issue it made things worse because I had to wear that crappy boot thing which made hips hurt. One thing they make old people in pt do is stand up without using your arms. We should all work on this. If there is a small weight increase after an excercise program it should not be alarming. muscle weights more.
What a great trip Liz. Should be fun. Exercise your sea legs! Ladder climbing skills!. No walking of plank though. GL on house stuff.
Wow Peps two weeks on the road. What an adventure. You totally know what to pack but just be prepared for extreme heat. I once went to minneapolis shows outdoors and it was 100 degrees.
DH was using his balancing gadget today. Reminds me of old reducing machines from the 60s. I agree that working on balance is important and I should do it too. But I think I will just practice standing on one leg. Actually it's a challenge for me to walk the treadmill without holding on to anything. Works those core muscles.
CC hope you can stay clear of the infirmary unless you are needed.
Cheers. Diane S
