Up early again today to travel from DH's house to mine. I have several appointments near my house starting with PT at 9:30, then we have to drive to NY tomorrow. I need to be packed up and on the road by 8:15 (it is 6 now). I had moved a lot of stuff here before we went to Florida in preparation for showing the house so now I need to move it back.

Our travels yesterday were smooth but it was a long day after getting up so early. Justice was thrilled to see us and we took him for a neighborhood walk last night which he was super happy about. So nice to have him snuggling in my lap. DH will take him for a beach walk which he loves after I leave, then come back to my house with him this afternoon. As an aside, when we were at our beach club in Florida we found out that the part of the beach it is on is dog friendly. So we can park at our beach club and take Justice down the path next to the clubhouse to take him for walks there.

I so wish we could stay put for a few days but not until late Saturday when we will get a full week back at my house before we have anything planned. Time to start packing. Have a tautological Thursday!

Just non-toxic bubbles that if you ate them won't hurt you. They're flavored and smell like food.

Greetings all

It's sunny and nice here. House got cleaned this morning. I had a 9am zoom meeting for the studio board which I attended in a bathrobe. Things are going well though the proposed face lift for the front of the building is pretty amorphous. I suggested someone come up with a sketch of how it would look. These people are all artists. Continued argument about who is supposed to paint the building - looking at lease would be much too efficient. After all that I spent some time at the studio and got some glazing done. After that, trip to the store to get chicken to cook for our totally spoiled dogs. Their kibble last night had some deli roast beef on it. They were highly offended and refused to eat any of it. Later I discovered one had ralphed on the bed cover so had to rinse that off. Bed cover is now in the custody of the laundromat which will do the washing for you but it won't be ready until tomorrow. Fine with me - it's not cold.

Also got a steak since we are sick of the deli enchiladas. They are good but it's too much for two sleevers. (autocorrect wrote "sleepers").

Liz hope you recieve this having safe and timely travels. I have often thought that going to the airport is like checking into a mental institution - you don't know what they will do you nor when you can leave.

Yes, the lounging gene. I certainly have it on both chromosomes. It's my dominant gene. Sounds like Bonnie and DD have ia bit of it too! Must be a midwestern thing. I do have a talent for endless loafing. My mother and grandmother were the kind of people who could not sit still for long and were always busy with something. Not me. Maybe at the root of my weight issues. Moving around does count.

CC glad things are better at the infirmary. Also glad you are not sick. Makes me think about covid and all the times we felt a scratchy throat and worried what that might mean. Edible bubbles?? What are those made from? And hey, enjoy the designer furniture! Why not?

Cheers. Diane S

Jet skis are a menace. Why are they so loud?

Some of us have "the gift of lounging". I am a lounger. I like to get things done, and don't mind some busyness, but I also can sit in a comfy chair for a long, long time and be so content : )

14 lbs. down! Yay! I've struggled to get in my 1000 calories the last several days and needed a before bed protein drink to even get close. Last night I had reflux too which is not normal for me. I did read where the meds can do that and we all know it is a risk with VSG that thankfully I had not experienced. I just propped myself up a bit more with my pillow and am fine today. I also think I was dehydrated because when I got up I felt very lightheaded (which happens to me occasionally) but my normal leaning against the wall didn't take care of it so I had to quickly get myself to the floor before I fell. Once on the floor the lightheadedness subsided. Of course I couldn't find my blood pressure machine to see how low it really was. The bad part of it all is that I also had fasting labs this morning so I couldn't eat anything but did promptly drink some water!

Hope Liz and Mike were able to get their flight back out East without too much waiting and hope Diane and family enjoy the extra day with DS!

I would be like you CC and over analyze every sniffle. Hope you remain symptom free and Dad and Claudia feel better soon! Edible bubbles? Where do you find such things? I wonder what they taste like?

Miss 150, having a nothing to do day is alright with me too! We all need those every once in awhile. My DH has such ADHD that he can't rest on a day off. He had both cars washed and detailed and had lunch with a friend before 12:30 today! There are days I'm still in my PJs at that time!

So far not sick, though my hypochondria was in high gear last night making it hard to sleep! Like listening for strange noises in the dar****pt thinking is that a scratchy throat? Post nasal drip? A headache? So far I think I'm fine though I was sure I was coming down with it last night.

The jet skis are buzzing around, sounding like a cross between a horde of angry mosquitoes and a monster truck rally. The sun is finally came out today. I spent some time sitting on a lounger outside with Claudia while we threw the ball for the dog and blew edible bubbles for him...

Today is shot day. I was up 0.2. Blergh. Emerge can't ship 12.5 to Michigan, so I'm stuck with 10 until September. I might be able to eke out 12.5mg toward the end with the cushion of 10 I have.

My dad is feeling somewhat better. As Claudia said he's being "feisty" meaning "mean" and made his own breakfast of eggs when he was mad she wouldn't let him have his usual yogurt because dairy makes you mucusy, which all together is better than yesterday's catatonic. She is feeling a lot better too.

I went to the store to buy stuff to make them another soup. Also mailed a ginormous check to the designers for the second payment on my furniture. I keep reminding myself I have no college tuitions or weddings to pay for and may as well enjoy it.

That's it for now! Take care all...

The flight gremlins have struck our group. DS woke up to a message from American Airlines his flight was cancelled, and they rebooked him for tomorrow. Except the boarding pass wouldn't download. It said he was checked in, but really, are you if there's no boarding pass? He spent almost an hour on the phone with them, while they untangled why he still had a boarding pass for a flight they canceled and why he didn't have one for the flight he was now checked into. Good grief. But anyhow, we bet to keep him another day. :)

The weather took a turn here! Its 68, overcast with a cool damp wind. I'm wearing lots of layers. It will be a good day to walk through the shopping district, which we haven't done yet. And maybe try out some restaurant that doesn't have much of a patio (because I definitely wouldn't pick such a place on a sunny day).

In addition to swimming (I managed to get in!), eating lobsters and watching whales, I finished a book, The Last Flight. It was entertaining. I started a new book today: The Midnight Library. It's is compelling so far.

I had to laugh ruefully at the saggy skin discussion. I am a melted candle. There's even loose skin on my calves. But I too am much happier about how I feel, so I can cope.

These days Delta makes a road trip sound like a viable time saving alternative. Hopefully you are flying the friendly skies (ooops, wrong airline)...Which sky Does Delta fly?

We've been having resort weather here for a few days, but it looks like the heat is on again. I love having open windows, but August is around the corner.

Thankfully, there is nothing on the todo list that absolutely has to be done so I can choose, even if it's just doing nothing which would be a novelty.

Enjoy the summer traveling and vacationing adventurs that many of you are having. This burger is content to hang around between her two buns for the time being.

Up early today to travel home mid-day. We are flying from Orlando which is 1.5 hours away so have to leave at 9 for our flight at noon. Hopefully it gets out at some point but we are watching closely as it is a Delta flight. They cancelled about 1/3 of their flights out of Orlando yesterday and another 1/3 were delayed, usually by about 2-3 hours. We won't mind a delay but I really need to get back for some appointments tomorrow.

The inspection at the house resulted in 2 asks by the buyers, both of which are totally reasonable and I will take care of them. The next hurdle is them obtaining a mortgage. They were pre-qualified and seem to be in a good place financially so I don't think it will be a problem.

The condo here is as clean as we can leave it in preparation for the bachelorette weekend in a month. I didn't do regular PT exercises yesterday because I used my arm to scrub - I can feel it this morning.

I'm looking forward to getting back to Justice and also getting back to my own house for the next couple of months.

Time to move the laundry to the dryer. Have a winning Wednesday (I just realized that I used my W word yesterday thinking it was Wednesday LOL!
