I totally understand how you feel

Goody goody about the signed contract, Liz. Seems like most of us know about those real-estate-deadline-butterflies-in-the-tummy symptoms.
And yes, to every time there is a season--this one seems to be trying to teach me that saying goodbye to stuff doesn't mean saying goodbye to love. Still, it's sometimes uncomfortable (I think that's the best word for how I feel) knowing this beautiful spot soon won't be available to me.
I'm beginning to think that life's big transitions with their attendant discomforts offer us the best educational experiences.

You sure are doing great with the Tirzepatide. It seems like most medical professionals are either very understanding/supportive or very negative about the new medications. I think reservations about the compounding pharmacies may be part of that.

Down 16 lbs! Yay! Yesterday was such an odd (non) eating day for me. I really struggled to get much of anything in. I think I ended up with only 700 ish calories for the day and that includes a protein shake in the evening that I forced myself to drink. They are only 11 oz. with 30 grams of protein so that helped! Today seems much better already even though I've only had a protein bar and hydration.
DD and Peps, both of you will be retiring from Education after this year? Yay! I'm enjoying my retirement and anxious for DH to be done as well. Hoping an active FL lifestyle will suit us well!
Liz, nothing like the last minute in getting those papers in eh? Hope they will accept the furnace technician's explanation of the non problem.
Very hot and humid here today. I've already worked in the church garden this morning so will have to shower my sweaty body soon. DH working nights again so he is sleeping the day away. I think I will edit botanical garden pics and maybe scrapbook some today. Also need to make DH the chocolate chip cookies I promised him (wouldn't let him buy the store bought ones the other day). So glad they are not a temptation for me.
I have my annual exam with my NP next Monday. Curious if she will be supportive of me taking compound GLP 1. Can't argue that it has not been successful!
Off to get on with my day! Hope all of yours are fantastic!
I'll be back at work on August 26. The days will pass quickly I hope, and I'll reach my endless summer!
Yes, my parents are tough. They can make all their decisions , even it they're not good ones, but then want me to somehow fix them, but when I try, they reject the help. And then the sad texts, and the teary phone calls start again.
We are a lot more used to humidity here on the East Coast I think. I kind of like it as long as I'm not overly active in it. I am getting tired of AC lately especially since DS likes the temperature much lower than I do so I feel cold all the time.

I start back on the 12th. Just found out Monday that I got assigned to a 5th grade. Not what I was hoping for my last year. Oh, well.... But that assignment did strengthen my resolve to put in for my "early retirement" package the first week of school! LOL
Already thinking about going back for work? When do you go back?
Tough figuring out how to best help your parents. It is so difficult when the roles reverse with our parents.

On the Road Again....
Today we bid buh bye to Wisconsin. Today we travel west and north to Minnesota. I was able to get an additional night at the Minnesota hotel, so I'll get on the road sometime around 11 am. That will get me to Grand Rapids, MN about 6 or 7 pm. I'll be off to North Dakota as Diane returns from the east. Passing ships....
The longer I am on the tirzepatide, the less I notice a day that the meds kick in. I truly believe there is a build up of the med in the system and as I continue with the long term use the med level seems pretty stable in my body. What I notice most is that my mental appetite is more ambitious than my actual ability to eat. My satiety signals are quite strong on the medication.
I am hoping as I travel west the wet weather that seems to be coming east (from who knows where because it's not in CA where it is desperately needed for that damn fire!) passes me by. I'm not a fan of steamy, wet summer humidity. This morning, though, it is pleasant. It's in the low 70s, so the humidity is very doable. Yesterday the humidity was so high the dew point here was 75 degrees! That's just ridiculous!
I suppose I should get my act together and pack up.
