Weight 122. The fantastic like-homemade clam chowder and 1/2 of a lobster roll for lunch yesterday didn't cause any rise in weight. The lobster roll was meat only - no mayonnaise or any kind of other filler. Just amazing! We took DS out for lunch at a place on the waterfront before we left for home. When in Maine, one has to eat the lobster!
Very quiet here with DS gone. Also a bit empty so I have to move some furniture around to make it feel less so for our last 2 months here.
DH is golfing today for the first time in a month. He pulled something in his thigh the last time he played and had to let it heal. It's been difficult for him as he usually plays with his friends three times a week in the summer. I may go to the beach with SIL if it isn't too windy. I have to ride with her as I still have a loaner car so no beach sticker.
Not much else on the agenda for the day. Have a safe Sunday!

That is interesting! Looking forward to hearing what prompted it.

A century ago! Very intriguing, looking forward to the rest of the story.
Greetings all
Busy day with our visiting friends. It started foggy but there is full on sun. We went up to the gallery and then walked on the fishing pier. We took a side trip to the Trinidad Cemetery because there is this one odd grave marker that says "Murdered by Capitalism". Not sure of the back story but will find out. It's a very interesting cemetery with unusual old graves. Then we did the scenic drive and on to the zoo and Redwood Skywalk. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. It's a walkway 100 feet off the ground in the redwoods. after all that, this little buckeroo is tired so I demanded time at home for a nap. Dinner later at an ocean view restaurant. I am glad I had the courage to set boundaries and to not allow houseguests and demand rest time. Its all worked out.
Liz Portland sounds like a great place. Lobster ravioli is heavenly. What a great start for your DS. Congrats on mission accomplished
What CC? You left already prepared bacon uneaten? Your med is indeed working. Good on you.
Yep DD there's no place like home. A paid for house is a really comforting thing. What fun it must have been to be a young person doing the town in Minneapolis.
Plastics! Always a VSG issue. I considered them when I was at low weight. I might have done a face lift but never did. Now I don't care. But when I was in my 30's I had my thighs and gut sucked out and am glad I did. I had those big saddle bags. Worked well. I didn't tell my job what I was doing and pretended to be sick for a week. Not an easy task. Perhaps when my cataracts are fixed I will see my wrinkles and reconsider.
Paula have a good visit to Door County. Looks wonderful.
Airshow is still going on. Today it's all kinds of vapor trails. Over soon.
Time for me to nap. the skywalk wore me out. Ditto Murdered by Capitalism.

Door County is also so awesome. DS moved to Madison, after attending Stout in Menomonie. Madison is great for his interests, and many of his college friends ended up there too. I just wi**** was closer, but it is a lovely city. And that's where Liz's Mom is from :)
Weight the same! Finally feeling like I can eat again but not feeling hungry per se. I still have some aversions. Made salmon last night and it was fishier than usual. Couldn't do it! Ended up eating ham lunch meat and string cheese with my grilled veggies. Actually ate a Scotcheroo bar today. I have not had something sweet in forever. Injection day tomorrow so I'm sure that will go away.
Portland looks and sounds fabulous Liz. I'm sure DS will love it and I'm glad he has some friends there. My DS2 is loving living in Madison now but the friends he is hanging out with are a bit more spendy than he is used to! He and his partner were kind of homebodies and didn't spend too much on entertainment.
I'm not sure if I will do plastics if I get to goal again. I had intended to get a tummy tuck and thigh lift before Ben got sick but that of course was put on hold after the cancer diagnosis and then I didn't want to take that much time off from work after he passed. Then I started dating DH, got married, Covid and menopause and weight gain so it never happened. If I did do something it would only be the tummy tuck. I know thighs don't always heal well and my body always rejects sutures so I don't think I want to mess with that!
DD, I love the Twin Cities! My Dad lived in several of the burbs (Hopkins, Minnetonka, and a burb of St. Paul that I don't remember the name of). I did my undergrad internship at the Hospital in Minnetonka for a semester!
CC, passing up on bacon is saying something! Meds must be working! Our weather continues to be cool here as well!
Taking a little road trip tomorrow with DH and DC1 to Door County. It will just be a day trip!
