Sounds like all are having a restful Labor Day and the same is with me. DS#2 has been here for long weekend and Swann is in heaven. He will surely protest and then sulk with his Binky for a good while as he always does when the boys do their leave taking.
Nothing else going today as it should be ( although I would love to take a sunny afternoon nap on a beach -lucky you, Liz)
Make the day truly yours
Have the best laid back free-to-be-you year of your career. Anything goes so play and teach and be there for the kiddos; these are your only requirements.
NOT feeling "overweight " means beginning to feel comfortable in your own body. I call that a splendid way to feel.
Best of luck on that Last First day!

166.9. A little uptick but not from food. I had just under 700 calories yesterday. Thankfully, food has been better today. It is injection day but I will skip it as I mentioned yesterday.
DH working and DC1 hanging out at the house again as Sunday and Monday are their days off. Took the puppies for a little walk around the neighborhood and did some much needed cleaning!
Plan to make mushroom swiss burgers for dinner, I promise not to gag Diane!
Hope Liz is getting a good nap on the beach and DD's first day jitters calm enough so she can get a good nights sleep! Glad the party was fun CC and that you could give good info to the hostess regarding the benefits of GLP 1s.
Really a perfect weather day today. We sat out on the patio last night and took a dip in the hot tub. May have to rinse and repeat again tonight but turn on the gas fire pit (I got too cold last night, hence the dip in the hot tub).
Liz, I hope you are resting soon on a warm beach. Not sleeping well is awful. We desperately need a new mattress, but I can still sleep well on weekends and breaks, so tossing and turning is clearly part of the stress of the work week.
The weather is pretty much perfect. I will at a minimum be reading the paper on the porch. I need to do some laundry, and work on a few more items to get ready for tomorrow. It will make everything go a little smoother this coming week if I just tackle it today. Growing case of 1st day jitters, but its to be expected.
Yesterday was a lot of puttering, but I did make it to workout, and the grocery store. We talked with both kids. DS enjoyed his cruise. We asked him what he was doing today, and he said I'm going hiking with a friend. He then clarified the friend is a young woman he has been dating a month. He said he was very intrigued with her from the start because she showed him her hiking backpack, and it was better than his. :) Sounds like he is having fun. Things continue to go well for DD also. She had a 2 week break from Graduate school, and is ready for the last push through to December.
Not much else going on :) Last first day, I'm coming for you.
Hmm. It's a pretty bold question, but the outcome sounds good. It was very generous of you to share your experience and knowledge of these medications.
Overweight is definitely a feeling which I have felt way too many times in the past.
I wish DH would try the Glp-1 meds. He is one of those people who says he will do it on his own but has little success. The key is always less beer (he only has a couple a week) or more exercise. But he has a hard time cutting down on the food or changing the type of food he eats.

The party was nice. And the wind died, so it was actually very comfortable outside thank goodness. I wore jeans I haven't worn in months. They have a little stretch, so I wore them hen I was heavier when I probably shouldn't have, but nothing else fit. Yesterday they were loose and I definitely needed a belt I didn't have. The perils of having no dip in your waist! But I still felt pulled together and not overweight, if overweight is a feeling.
The hostess was giving me a tour of the house they just had totally rebuilt (oh my God, it's stunning and I had many moments of friendly envy). She commented that I looked so skinny (in a very nice way) and asked if I was using Ozempic. Taken aback and being a bad liar, I told her I was on tirzepatide. What do I care, I'm not ashamed of it! She said her sister in law (the other hostess of the evening) was starting it and she hoped her husband would. He is very overweight in his stomach area the way men can get and it's so dangerous. I worry about him, so I hope she convinces him to try it. Their next door neighbor's husband died this last winter from a heart attack and was similarly built. So I quickly told her about the health benefits aside from weight loss too.
My weight jumped up a pound and a half today even though I didn't eat a ton. Maybe slow digestion. Who knows.
I hope you all have a lovely day. Looks to be a nice one here with no wind! Take care!
No weight - we are at DH's home. Also almost no sleep - about 2 hours. Like Goldilocks I couldn't get comfortable - it was either too hot or too cold.
ThinLizzy posted on Saturday's thread thanking us for sending messages to her.
Today we are going to breakfast (skipped yesterday) and then probably the beach if the sun stays out. I need to sleep on the beach. Haven't figured out dinner yet - we either need to shop or go out.
That's all I know. Have a lazy Labor Day!
