167.something. Up a bit again. Calories were right around 1,000 the last 2 days which is good because I wasn't getting close to that last week! I think I will wait until Sunday to take my injection.

Yesterday's meeting with my Stephen's Ministry receiver went well. Our plan is to meet weekly. Today I spent 2 hours harvesting on our church garden and now I'm doing laundry! Dinner tonight is FFY (fend for yourself) as DH doesn't get home until 6ish and we need to leave by 6:10 to get to bible study. We have some leftover rotisserie chicken from Costco and mashed potatoes and gravy that I made the other day that I think I will dig into.

Nothing else new or exciting to report!

Oh, Devon, notating 20 years abstinence marks an anniversary worth celebrating! This May was my 7th and I have no doubt was a decision between life and death.

I would definitely look into a sleep study! Both my Mom and brother have severe sleep apnea, so many health problems can come from it!

Speaking of stuffed toy guts, the favorite toy at my house is a disemboweled yellow duck. It's skin, which is all that is left of it, is the coveted toy of Blitz, Buster, and Bug. Must be a B thing! Anyhow, Blitz and Buster spend a great many hours trying to keep the yellow piece of dirty fabric away from one another, like it is a prized T-bone steak.

Weight was exactly the same as yesterday. Always makes me think the scale is stuck. It seems too odd to be .something two days in a row.

Though I don't talk about it much, today is the 20th anniversary of the day I stopped drinking alcohol. I had had enough and decided since I was unable to regulate my intake reasonably, it was best to stop altogether before I followed in the same path my mom's sister took. I could see the writing on the walls and didn't want to go there! Anyway, seems like a lifetime ago. One of the best decisions I ever made.

Fantastic workout yesterday. Another scheduled for tomorrow. I thought of you all when I was doing my squats. Over the span of the workout I did 140+ squats. The trainer and I were talking about different body types and how both she and I find squats super easy and rewarding, while others just hate them. I HATE exercises like lunges and leg extensions. Go figure.

CC, you will make your goal. No worries there. Our journey is a little longer and slower than others - and that is perfectly okay. I still have 40 pounds to get to my "goal" (and that's still 18 pounds heavier than my post VSG goal weight, which in hindsight was probably a bit too thin). I know it may take me more than a year to reach my goal and I am perfectly fine with that. I have been told my everyone in the medical profession that the people who lose really slowly are the ones who tend to keep it off for good. I have NEVER been a slow loser because I was a great crash dieter. This time, even on the tirzepatide, I'm not dieting per se. I'm eating smaller portions of all the foods I love and plan to eat forever. I'm not good food or bad food labeling anything. I eat it all, just much more like a normal person than ever before. The tirzepatide has also helped me realize what "normal" eating really is. I have never, ever been a normal eater (since starting Kindergarten anyway). This particular leg of the journey is very, very different for me, and from our conversations, a lot different for you, too.

Must get back to music! Recess is almost over.

Good morning! I didn't realize I forgot to post yesterday. I helped my dad weed the yard (hard to sit and relax watching an 83 year old weeding out the window...), walked Kirby, and cooked dinner for 6. It was a fun night.

My weight was down, but after the dinner party it bounced up so I had no loss this week. Last month's loss was only 1.4 pounds. Peps, I hope you're right about 12.5 or I may never make it to my goal! Even so, I feel pretty good at this weight and certainly better than 43 pounds ago.

Not sure what I will do today. It's another beautiful one. The only thing I have to do is clean up the stuffed toy guts all over the house and walk Kirby.

I keep waking up with headaches. Which is either dehydration or I fear sleep apnea. So I think I will try to step up my water (which, who am I kidding, is almost none and too much diet soda and coffee) and if that doesn't do it, talk to my doctor when I get home about a sleep study. Waaaah.

Alright, off to pick up stuffing... Take care!

PS on the subject of school nightmares, I also have them and it's either me showing up in my underwear and trying to hide or arriving for a final for a foreign language class I never remembered to go to. I think my subconscious figures I could fudge my way through a history or English final, but not one on a language I don't speak!

It is chilly this morning! Mid 50's, though it is supposed to warm up to the low 70's with little wind.

Yesterday we did poke around in Chatham and went out to dinner using a gift certificate from last Christmas. Good tuna poke bowl which I couldn't finish.

Before we left yesterday I sorted through more photos. I have about 1/3 of a box left out of the 2 large boxes I brought here. Amazing how few are worth saving even though I feel like I am keeping more than I should. Probably less than 5%? Observation: Landscape photos are good to look at for a short time after a trip and are sometimes of value to enlarge for display but over time lose their impact. I really didn't care about any of them from our old trips except to remind me that we were there. The photos I am keeping are of the people in those places, especially the close-up ones. I have to be careful not to dump too many of myself which I found myself doing at times. Lots and lots of memories! And so many Christmases.

Today will definitely be a beach day, followed by oysters and shrimp during Happy Hour at a nearby restaurant. This is our last day here for a while as we return to my home early tomorrow for the fire detector inspection. Counting down to DD's wedding day, then the move.

Have a winning Wednesday!
