I love that Iowa State football game tradition!
You make me feel like I should make some chili next week. Both DH and I love the stuff and it will be too hot back in Florida.
I can't use anything with straps to hold up the girls because the dress is off one shoulder. I don't want to use a traditional strapless because I will have bra lines in the back. But maybe one of the tube tops I used after my shoulder surgery will work!

Nice that you were able to reconnect with people!
I agree with DD that the symptoms may abate over time. I think I was fatigued at first and also had some dizziness but that has been gone for at least the last 2-3 months.
Report back on those taco chips! I had some Quest sour cream and onion chips yesterday because I was hungry but couldn't decide what to have (and felt a protein snack would be best). They were okay but not exactly like real chips.

So sorry you and your Dad went through that. My MIL had several of those trips in her last couple of years after falling into dementia. So hard when they can't really explain what is going on.
But no excuse for the hospital staff not properly communicating with you - they should know better.

I may try lowering the dose this next week depending on how the rest of the week goes. I actually did okay with dinner tonight, lunch was difficult which was just a Fairlife shake.
Sorry the meds can't be more moderate with you! I mean, it's great that they work for you, but it would be nice if you could at least shake the fatigue, and enjoy eating the smaller portions, instead of being turned off completely. Hopefully as you continue, your response to them levels out. After over a year of Wegovy, I'm pretty even keeled, although I do see a distinct pattern to my appetite according to how far out I am from an injection.
Boobs and age. Boobs and weight loss. Sigh. I remember when they were not so troublesome, and could be stored in cute little lacy things, without the level of hydraulics currently required. Yes, gravity is the law.
Peps, what a long and frustrating day while you waited and worried. Of course they needed to keep you closely informed. Where they expecting your father to understand the test results? I hope your Dad is having a more comfortable day today. And yeah on moving forward with the RV.
CC, yuck to the not Fair life protein shake. Can you buy just plain fair life milk? 2 cups is 26 grams of protein. I would rather drink that. Or doctor up the other shake by blending it up with ice and some fruit.
Diane sounds like you celebrated DH well, and all is good at your house except for the lack of Saltines. I too enjoy their basic nature (not everything has to be improved), but find it frustrating how fast they go stale once the package is opened, especially in humid weather.
The jazz club concert was pleasing, and the trio performing played many of the songs we've come to expect from them. We've attended probably 9 or 10 of their shows, so I guess we are fans.
This morning we went to the St. Paul farmer's market and bought all the fixings for Ratatouille. The chopping will commence shortly. We also made a swing through the Pagan Fall Festival. Lots of stands to buy crystals, get a tarot card reading. Some interesting crafts. One woman had a shop selling long sweaters she pieced together using recycled sweaters. Kind of quilt like. They were gorgeous and expensive, but justifiably so. It must involve hours and hours of work. Not curious enough about tarot readings to pay $40. I chatted with a hypnotherapist for a bit. That's the first time anybody had ever piqued my interest in trying hypnosis. I took her card, but to be honest, I'll probably not pursue it.
The weather here is lovely, although unseasonably cool. It was 59 degrees when we left the house this morning. By the time we returned, it was sunny and 71. The sun still has a lot of power. It's cold in the shade and warm in the sun.
Some friends invited us to go with them to a winery tomorrow where they have a membership. Should be similar weather, so I think it will be a lovely Sunday afternoon.
Gotcha! Glad they did the complete work up! Yeah, communication is so important too!

The wind has finally stopped, but it's in the 50s. Feels like fall! I ran to the store for dinner fixin's and walked the dog.
I can't get the Fairlife shakes around here without a 3 hour round trip drive or ordering from Costco and they would arrive not long before I leave. So Premier it is until I go home. Blech.
Liz, Sedona has packrats that destroy car wiring with alarming frequency. Knock on wood, I've not seen them around my house thankfully.
It's a low news day here. Hope you all are well!
Greetings all
It's a foggy saturday here. I made a quick store trip for onions and a couple of things needed for chili which I will start shortly. It will be fairly healthy with 95% lean beef and tomatoes and beans and onions. Our big game is at 4;30 with a very intense rivalry. CU vs NU. CC note that the tailgaters in Lincoln at the game are making barbecued buffalo meat! LOL. Nothing like that here though buffalo meat is good.
Peps what a frightful night with your dad. Yes I am sure he got good care but it would have been nice if they talked to you. ER workers are spread pretty thin but communication seems like part of care. Hope your dad is doing better and that you get some rest.
Yep Liz, I get the boob issues. Mine seem to be larger and more low hanging than even when I weighed more. As DH says "gravity; it's the law". My best solution to the "slip out" issue is a camisole with a sort of built in shelf bra. Got mine from Coldwater Creek. Hope you find a fix.
Paula sorry the winery was not so hot. Greasy pizza - no thanks. Let us know how the Quest chips are.
DH birthday cake was good. It was very light and fluffy and delicately flavored. So not a load of fake lemon flavor. Will do that again for sure.
We are watching the Iowa/ Iowa State football game. There is a high rise children's hospital overlooking the stadium and they have a tradition at the end of the first quarter all the players stop and everyone in the stadium waves to the kids in the hospital who wave back. Sweet.
One thing the hippie health food store does not have is ordinary saltine crackers. So I had to get some kind with sea salt and organically grown wheat. Hard to find anything there that has gluten in it. Just want plain crackers; not rice flower almond things at three times the price.
