Still no contact from my friend. My friends who I've explained everything to, say to give her a few days. I am struggling with that. I have such problems with sitting with other people's silence (or silent treatment) and I go from being hurt to feeling rage at not being able to defend myself. So I slept very little last night and have a headache. And a big part of me wants to quit the board not in solidarity with my friend because what she's doing just plain isn't allowed however much I wi**** was, but because enforcing the rules on your neighbors is a terrible role and I hate it.
I managed to get my prescription filled, but for several hundred dollars more than it normally would be. The pharmacy tried every which way including multiple calls to Eli Lilly, but the savings card just wouldn't work anymore. At one point, it would only work if my BMI was over 27. I couldn't do the math fast enough to know what that weight would be, and lying is hard for me anyway.
In researching going back to compounding, that looks like a real mess. One of my former pharmacies is being sued by Eli Lilly (Empower), another has stopped selling it all together (Hallandale). The rest it sounds like can sell what they've already made so were busy bees stocking up, but once it's gone that's it unless there is a dramatic change in legislation. Several of them were trying the trick of adding something like B12 to get around the exact copy rule and are still getting sued. And now Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk are going after the prescribing companies to stop compounds. I thought about doing the individual self-pay doses from Eli Lilly, but they stop at 10mg and I'm on 15. I have some concerns as the reputable pharmacies keep getting sued and stop selling it, the fly by nights selling God knows what in a vial will be who's left. Leaving me with a $900+ prescription. Frustrating. https://www.npr.org/sections/shots-health-news/2025/03/19/nx -s1-5333230/zepbound-tirzepatide-compounding-fda
Anyway, I have planting to do today. And fretting. Hope you all have a fret-free day!
Boy, that is an awkward situation--for everyone involved. Sorry you got caught up in the middle of it.

Good Morning! Off to our State Capitol to hang out with some likeminded folks. Partly cloudy, with a high in the 40s. I may be over dressing, but I don't want to be cold. Power to the People!
Weight is 130.2, which is up 2-3 pounds from a month ago. It's due to being a bit bed-bound and not able to move around so much due to remodeling boredom and bad weather inactivity. Truth is, I think my face looks a bit better with these 2-3 pounds fluffing me up. So for now I'm good with it. I just don't want to keep heading in that direction.
Today's big news is that we're in the midst of that stalled rainstorm hanging across the lower Midwest--with the Ohio River cresting on Monday and localized flooding near the river and all the creeks around here that run into the Ohio.
Yesterday the city sent all residents an email saying, "Don't wash your clothes or use your dishwashers to avoid overtaxing our already super-overtaxed metropolitan sewer system." This weekend it'll continue raining, then we'll get a couple of sunny but cooler days, then more rain, then sunny, etc.
Mother Nature is really overdoing the "April showers bring May flowers" thang. At this point I'm expecting May to offer up a couple dozen roses every day--even though we haven't planted any rose bushes yet.

Oh boy. What a tough position to be in. But I think DD is right - she knew she was doing something not allowed but hoped no one would do anything about it. I think everyplace that I have lived which has an HOA has had that restriction BTW.

Quick post: We already did the Justice walk and I need to leave in a few minutes for water aerobics. DH plays golf in the Senior Championship tournament at 10:30.
Good day yesterday culminating in an enjoyable happy hour at the club, then dinner out at a nice new restaurant downtown.
I have had a somewhat scratchy throat for 3-4 days which I wake up with the morning and mostly subsides during the day. I wondered if it was allergies. But no, today I feel like I have a slight cold. So with the slow buildup does it mean that my body has been fighting it off and it will stay as a slight cold OR am I going to get a rip-roaring cold??? Time will tell.
Have a satisfying Saturday!

I have a brother who's 73 who says that every one of his longtime buddies now has a bidet. They've lived pretty rough lives physically (they started out together as teenagers in Vietnam, spent a lot of time in the woods, worked physical jobs, did some farming on the side, etc.) and are simply not as flexible (especially in the shoulders) as they used to be, which makes "wiping" a lot more complicated than it once was.

These are the ones I have loved: The wool upper is super soft. They can also be washed in the machine: https://www.allbirds.com/products/womens-wool-runners?price- tiers=msrp%2Ctier-1%2Ctier-2
