Just noticed, I'm 4.2 pounds less than my driver's license! And I was lying when I gave that one!

Bonnie, my painting isn't hung yet. My decorator asked me to collect paintings with black frames for a collage wall in the family room. I'm up to 4, need more...

Congrats on finishing the photo sorting! I realized long ago I'm great at starting projects, but not at finishing them. So go you!

185.8 this morning. I haven't seen that number in a long time.

The flight was wonderful and uneventful. Such a luxury. Home safe and sound. Before I could do anything else, I vacuumed the whole house. Dust, dog hair, and dead scorpions. The dreaded 3 Ds. Thankfully they were all dead, but I really didn't need to see 7 of them. So defeating. Then on NextDoor this morning a neighbor posted asking for a scorpion sting remedy since she was stung on her lower back this morning sitting down on her couch with a cup of coffee!! Whole new vistas of things to worry about.

After the vacuuming yesterday, I went to leave and the exit gate to our neighborhood wouldn't open. It's our only way out. Lots of back and forth with the board president and the repair guy and neighbors who had workmen that couldn't get out. He came and fixed it, then it broke again this morning! More back and forth. Before the guy could get here to fix it (which took 2 hours, another big problem), a dump truck tried to get out the entrance and ripped the steel gates off the wall and broke both gear boxes. The gates are irreparably mangled and we'll need to have new ones fabricated. The dump truck company said they will pay for it. It's going to be pricey. Next up is meeting with the sheriff's department this afternoon to file a report in case the company balks once the estimates come back. And while that's happening a bunch of fire rescue trucks came through to rescue a hiker as our neighborhood back fence was closer to the victim. Pandemonium! My neighbor who I really like jokingly said, "you know everything was just fine until you came home..." Ha!

The repairs are happening to my deck and it looks incredibly torn up, but like he is doing a super job. The wallpaper in my power room looks great.

Just walked the dog - it's a gorgeous day. It's interesting how different the light is here vs Michigan this time of year. In MI, it's a gold glow as the sun is getting low in the sky. Here it's still high up and incredibly bright. Lots of balloons this morning over the house. Kirby had forgotten about them and barked up a storm upon hearing/seeing them. So vicious...

I think that's it. Need to go rustle up some lunch. Take care all!

Yah, I ran out of time before the move to do it right so it was take all or nothing at all (and of course, I couldn't do that). Loved your idea about winnowing out scenic views. 21 huge albums and aiming to cut in half.

LOL! So you moved all the photos to your new home? I did that for my prior 2-3 moves but I just won't have the storage space anymore so it was time.

132.8

Liz, congratulations on the completion of your photo project. Certainly, now with that open time space, you might just want to mosey on over my way and help me sort out the gazillions of albums presently residing all over the living room (sorry, Paula, I call first dibs). It's not like you have any imminent, important wedding obligations, and I will get you back in time for DD's walk down the aisle- Promise!

Coffee with DH in the kitchen watching the birds, mostly Robins, splash around in the birdbath. Lovely day, but going to be hot- maybe the last 90's+ of the year. Got my fingers crossed for that one hard frost followed by a colorful and long Indian summer.

Today is my projected last day of house arrangement (mostly lamp/lighting and decorative items placement) leaving wall artwork for last. ****ly, how does the Michigan barn painting look, and where will/did you place it?

Woke late and it's about time to close windows as the sun is chasing the cool night breezes away. Smiling your way today and have a good one.

Weight 118.8. Up a bit which is good (since I am still below my desirable range). I ate a pretty healthy portion at lunch and dinner yesterday. I am dropping my tirzepatide dose from 5 to 2.5 today. We shall see how that goes over the next week or so.

Nine days to DD's wedding. My eldest DD (stepdaughter with late husband) arrived last night around 11:30 from NJ. She will be here through the wedding, and has a house closing nearby to go through too as she is selling her deceased aunt's home.

Soon to be married DD called last night after picking up her wedding dress. She is very happy with the alterations whi*****luded adding a bustle. I was given instructions about decorating on the wedding day and what to do about food for the makeup/hair session. Then she worried a bit about the fact that they don't have the wedding ring yet (it was due yesterday). Pre-wedding jitters!

Eldest DD is up and chatting. Have a thrifty Thursday!

10 am update: Photo sorting 100% done!!! I finished sorting through deceased daughter's personal pictures this morning. So glad to be done.

Your DD is having amazing success. She must feel great.

Yes, our collective wisdom is broad. I think we work well as a weight loss support group because we don't just talk about our weight but just as much about our lives. And at the end of the day how we respond to life's ups and downs is key to what happens with our weight. I personally found it extremely helpful to have one of our members navigate some big life changes before I did so I could ask her questions and hear how she dealt with them.

Congrats on continuing to drop weight. You amaze me with both your cooking skills and scrapbooking. I just don't have the desire or patience for either.

133.0

Just a quick check in to see what's cooking- happily, all looks well and good. Nothing fancy or out of the ordinary; feet hit the ground in the morning- I turn around and it's now. Kurtbear grilled steaks and we had them with baked potato and garden tomatoes. So yummy.

That really is about it. Sweet dreams your ways and special cyber hugs to you, Lizanne. Let it be and and practice the self care your body so needs right now.

I agree Liz, life events are happening all around us and to us. I think that as a group we are also reflective about our journeys, how we got here, where we're going next, and where we hope to end up. And in all of that, there is so much collective wisdom. What a blessing.

Just like yesterday, today was decent. My big non work outing was to the doctor's office. I had 5(!) vials of blood drawn for my upcoming visit with the WLS clinic. I am blessed with very good veins, and blood draws are no big deal for me. But as I was sitting there (it took a few minutes) I started to think, am I light headed? I'm feeling light headed! No, no you're not, you're being silly. I did not faint, so all is well.

Tonight's supper was Wendy's chili which I picked up on the way home. It works when neither of us seem to be too interested in cooking.

We talked to DD last night, and she's lost 40 pounds so far. I think she started the last week of May. I am so very happy for her! DH has 2 more Wegovy shots left, then he is moving to Zepbound, which currently resides in our fridge.
