I pouted a bit yesterday after my DEXA scan results. Pouting included eating 2 pastries. Otherwise my food was spot on for the day. LOL! Otherwise.... I crack myself up sometimes. I love how engrained the eating disordered thinking is: "Body fat high??? F that! After all the work you've put in....F that! Eat some pastries!" But, I do concede that the pastries were well worth it. They were DELICIOUS.
Beautiful blue skies today after several days of gray and icky weather.
The TT Facebook page is weird. Not sure what's going on with that. I put a test post on it and it appears to have gone through. But it's the first of 3 posts to make go through. I also got a weird post from Bonnie H. on my feed supposedly made on the TT page, but when I went to look for it, it wasn't there.
On the docket today: Grooming, visiting dad, working on a dog club newsletter (yes a new chore I took on...), and a leg workout.
Saw Disney's Snow White last night (that is how the pastries came into play...wandering the street to find a place to eat we found the bakery!). It's a charming movie and I loved the updated ending and the rewrite of the Snow White character as someone *****discovered her inner strength to overcome oppression. Blatantly obvious, too, was the lack of a Prince Charming. Snow White needed no rescuing, so a partnership with a handsome bandit was created instead.
Winsome AND Winning Wednesday to all!
120.8 - good, but of course I would be more comfortable down a pound where I had been lingering before my trip.
Yesterday I set up a new mesh router to hopefully improve our internet speed on the lanai. It says simple setup instructions but of course it wasn't simple at all. But I did get it up and running well by the end of the day so we shall see if it helps.
Golf yesterday afternoon with DH was okay. Some good shots and some horrible ones. Putting was a problem at almost all holes. Maybe I should practice this afternoon?
I need to figure out something for dinner. DH cooked grouper last night. It was okay but not great as I didn't like the spice he used - too salty. Not enjoyable enough for expensive fish IMO. I may haul out my old WW recipes to find something.
Time to think about an early Justice walk before driving DH to golf. I hate how dark it is in the morning. The sun rises here at 7:10, though it rises on Cape Cod at 6:22. Of course it is 40 degrees warmer here.
Have a winsome Wednesday!

What a pain having to deal with that Costco nonsense. Good to know that Eli Lilly was helpful. I will probably buy vials from them once I use up my existing supply. Since I am on Medicare my insurance shouldn't be run at all.
From the 80's to the 40's is one drastic change! And I complain about a 15 degree change...

Sounds like you are having a good time!
I admit that I always thought Tina was the star and Ike just used (and abused her). Somewhat interesting to hear that he had talent too, but boy Tina was Simply the Best!

I thought of telling you all I was pregnant for an April Fool?s joke but know that I have have mentioned menopause too many times for it to be believed!
Greetings all
It is sunny now but boy was it raining earlier. Started the day with Scrabble where I played terribly and lost all my games. Boo Hoo. These people are getting too good for me. After that I stopped at the store for liver sausage since it is dog pill day and that is the only way to get them down. Bought a few other things but nothing too terrible. Then it was on to the studio for art time. One Scrabble friend came by to use our balance scale since he has some old pennies that might be valuable which have a weight difference. No jackpot found.
So DD on to Graceland. What fun. I hear it is marvelously tacky. Should be fun.
Liz glad you have a gold buddy who is fun. No fun to take it too seriously.
Well Peps I will have to see what they mean by visceral fat. Regardless of the scan numbers, you are doing great and should be proud.
Ditto Paula. So slim you mom did not recognize you! My mom once asked me if my husband and I were planning on having children. I had to remind her I was 64 years old!
And speaking of kids, little miss Vivian is doing fine. She lost a few ounces as newborns often do but it working on putting it back. They have a lactation consultant and all kinds of services at this high risk baby hospital so she is getting all that is needed. The kid has such long fingers - she will either be a piano player or a surgeon.
Not much else in this long day by my standards. More pot roast tonight. Yay for that. No April fools jokes here.

Cold front came through this afternoon and it's in the 40s now. Brr.
Ugh. I went to all the way to Costco to pick up my prescription and they couldn't get my savings card to work. I didn't want to pay $1400 for my prescription, so I left. They've had similar issues before, but this girl was really unhelpful. Basically, I was getting the eyerolling "this woman (me) is stupid and not listening to me" attitude. But what she was saying made no sense. That I needed a prior authorization from my doctor even though my insurance does not cover Zepbound at all? I was really bummed when I left. I called Eli Lilly when I got home and the woman there was very helpful. I was worried I had maxxed out my benefits or uses of the card for the year. She said, no that would be a different error code. She said they were not running my insurance correctly first as the primary, then letting the secondary (the card)coverage kick in. Oh well, I can't do that drive again this month. So I transferred my prescription to Walgreens (which is often it's own ministry of chaos), so we'll see if they are any nicer or effective. Blech.
Doing laundry now... That's all I've got! Take care all
Hello from the land of the Delta Blues! Beautiful day with sun and 70s. Today we took a city tour whi*****luded a BBQ stop, and then the Rock and Soul Museum. 2 times I've learned that Ike Turner's Rocket 88 is considered the first true Rock n Roll song. I told DH his well deserved unsavory reputation makes it difficult to acknowledge his talent. In fact, I didn't know he was so talented, I thought he was just good at marketing Tina. It reminds me of a controversial club discussion about supporting artists who have done really bad things, even if it was well in the past. I guess somewhat similar to wearing old fur coats...is it okay as long as you're not supporting the current fur industry? Anyhow, I thought it was interesting to think about some artists like Ike Turner and their impact on our culture.
After the lunch and museum, we went on a riverboat cruise. The Mississippi starts in Northern Minnesota and we've been to the headwaters. You can walk across it. And now it's Old Man River after that it's flowed so far from home.
We had an early dinner, then walked back to our room. We're going to try to head back to Beale Street around 8pm because it sounds like it is going to rain hard tomorrow night and all day Thursday. Its supposed to be in the 80s tomorrow and windy before the storms roll in. Tomorrow's tour is Graceland.
