Of course the dogs had to dirty up the floors - that's their job isn't it LOL?

Now I have Purple Rain running through my head...

Beautiful day here! My friend Cathy came over to see my new outdoor furniture (she loved it!). She brought me the most beautiful bouquet of roses. She said it was just because it was Friday, but I think it was because or all the nonsense with my neighbor. So sweet.

Speaking of which, after the neighbors's last nasty text, I stayed silent (even though I wanted to send what I wrote out for you all the other day). Yesterday she texted me again saying, "My last text was a bit harsh and I'm sorry". A bit?! I did not answer this one either. I'm going to need more than that. No mention of all the other terrible things she's said and done. And given said situation is nowhere near to being resolved, I envision many more opportunities for her to attack me. So until she can demonstrate the ability to act like a grownup and acknowledges both her responsibility that create this whole fiasco and that I didn't deserve her nastiness, there will be no interaction with her if I can avoid it.

The power was out for several hours today, but thankfully I was mostly at my hair appt. Amazing how quiet it gets when nothing it powered. Peaceful. My roots are all de-skunked! And I have a TON of new hairs coming in, which is a relief, because I was really losing a bunch for a while there.

Tomorrow and Sunday is the Open Studio show in the area. You can go to artist's studios to see where they work and buy stuff. I won't be going to my neighbor's show! But heading out with Cathy tomorrow and my real estate agent/friend Sunday. Should be fun...

Definitely sounds like it is best to ignore the difficult neighbor after all her nasty remarks. Obviously you can't trust her to apologize and really mean it.

Glad your "neighbor" owned up to her inappropriate comments...taking responsibility for poor behavior, however, doesn't mean you're obligated to be her friend again. My favorite response to such as that is to acknowledge the apology ("I appreciate your saying that; I did not ask for, nor did I deserve those harsh words."). You certainly are not obligated to refriend such a person just because they apologize.
