Yesterday was pretty relaxing after the busy Monday. Our gorgeous weather is still holding with a high over Florida keeping away the rain. Which of course now means we are on the edge of drought conditions. I have no doubt that will change over the summer. Justice was happy to have both a long morning walk as well as an after dinner walk.
Today is laundry, water aerobics, dusting, and kitchen cleaning. DH does the floors tomorrow to complete the cleaning cycle. Someday we will need a housekeeper here but we are okay for now.
DH has his last golf association day followed by a dinner inside the clubhouse. A bunch of the wives are going to the wine social dinner on the patio of the clubhouse. So no cooking!
Have a winning Wednesday!

How nice your DH helps with the cleaning! Kirby just steals my rags.
Busy day ahead, but I am showered and ready for it. I was just thinking, how will the guy get a ladder to the window shade? 13ft in the air with an extremely heavy 11 ft sectional in the way. He can problem solve it...
Operation Move On Bird seemed to work well last night. No sign of it pushing the spikes off the rock. And I left the ceiling fan under the overhang on the lowest setting as that's its second favorite place to sleep and poop. I'm sure it will find another spot I will have to address, but for the moment I am reveling in this minor success.
I'm really happy with the color of the new sun umbrellas. It's a green the color of the natural trees out here, so they really disappear. I got some pillows for the new lounge chairs in the same fabric. Fingers crossed the new furniture is nice. It's so scary ordering online when you haven't seen it in person or sat in it. I'm hoping for not too big, not too small, not too low... Goldilocks.
I think I'll go unpack a new hose I bought and a new hose storage box. All my hoses which are supposed to be highly rated have melted in the elements. Your hands come away sticky when you touch them and the sticky is hard to wash off. Yuck. I also ordered new faucet handles for outside because those have melted and are nastily sticky too. What do people in Phoenix do where it's 10-15 degrees hotter?
Anyway, have good days everyone!
At least we have a lot of trees to block the sun in Florida so stuff doesn't melt as much.
So exciting to be getting new outdoor furniture. I am sure it will be just perfect and you will love it!

Not much going on here. I'm tired. A couple of the dogs must have gotten into something yesterday. Had to get up 3 times to let dogs out to potty during the night. Once is okay, but three times is just too much. I could have slept a lot longer this morning.
Still in the 205s this morning. Yesterday was NOT a great choice day. Reese's peanut butter eggs and Trader Joe's Pinks and Whites came out to play with me. I chose to play and consumed 4 pinks and whites and lord only knows how many little PB Chocolate eggs.
At least I had a kick azz work out. Did a full hour workout on just chest. Strangely, I'm not sore....yet. Today will be legs. I also have trimming to do for shows this weekend.
22 teaching days, 26 work days... It's getting scarily real! I'm so ready, but it sure does feel strange! I was thinking yesterday that one's work life really begins at 5 years old with Kindergarten. For 56 years there has always been someone else's agenda as the driving force in my life schedule. For the first time in my life I will have complete charge of my schedule. I am going to make sure to give my former school calendar the finger and plan to go to Disneyland during the school week this November.
A wishful, wistful Wednesday to all...
You are busy enough on your weekends now that I also bet you will make your schedule fairly full after retirement. But you can spread things out more which is one big plus!

125.9.
Busy enough day with laundry, dishes, workout and working on Etsy site.
Weather was rainy earlier but now sunny and 67 degrees! Have not made it outside yet but I know a little white dog that would love to go for a walk and a little black dog that will tolerate one if Mom goes!
Teriyaki salmon for dinner with carrots and snow pea pods. Maybe some microwave rice if DH wants it!
CC, we are at the opposite ends of the extreme weather spectrum. Here we have to worry about the impact of extreme cold on our houses, cars, outdoor stuff etc.
A wine social dinner sounds delightful.
Yesterday after working out, DH and I celebrated a 70 degree day by getting the cushions from the basement, and sitting on the porch. The trees haven't leaves out yet, so one end of the porch was sunny. I was so content in the sun, I almost purred. The downside is I was VERY reluctant to go to work today.
There is a retiree recognition event for the district. It used to be at a country club, and you could invite co workers from your department, and your family. Now it's just your family, and it's held in the lunchroom of my high school with a program in the auditorium. I wasn't too interested, but DH wanted to attend, so I was filling out the RSVP. Among the usual stuff, it said I needed to submit a picture, and had some questions to answer such as your favorite memory etc. and how to pronounce your name. I suspect its like graduation and you have to walk across the stage so they can give you your retirement gift, while showing your picture and info. I don't want to do that, or have to watch a bunch of people from other schools I don't know do it. Sorry DH, but no. Haha, this is the first thing about retirement that has given me anxiety. Well one other thing did: I looked at my calendar and I had an appointment with my WLS clinic at 9am the first Monday of retirement. Why did I schedule that? I rescheduled :) There will be appointments and obligations, but not the very first Monday of freedom.
Peps, when do you go on your cruise?
