121.2 - shot day (finally back to my previous schedule after the BVI trip)
We went to bed a little early and I slept an hour late so you would think I was super well rested but I seem to wake up off and on all night these days - my pattern is typically 4 hours of sleep, then awake, then off and on every 2 hours for the rest of the night.
We had a good visit with our Cape Cod friends. They are renting a gorgeous apartment in a high-rise overlooking both the ocean and the intracoastal. Amazing views. But the wife is recovering from back surgery. She fell when they were on their trip down in late January and it took a while to determine that she had broken her back in 3 places! She just had a surgery where they insert a ballon and bone cement to restabilize the vertebra (kyphoplasty). My SIL may have that for a new break in her spine too. We have to be so careful at our age not to fall.
Tonight we have the Spring Fling at the Beach Club - the best event of the year. Great food, open bar, beautiful table settings, good music. We are taking a shuttle from the club so we don't have to drive (the beach club is 15 minutes away). We are at a table with 4 other couples we know. Before we leave, we are stopping at a new friend's home for champagne and caviar. Feels very hoity-toity as DH would say. The theme for the dinner is Bollywood. I considered a sari but too much work and too hot. So I got a long scarf called a dupatta and some jewelry I got on Amazon to wear with a dress I have.
Before that it is Justice walk time and maybe Beach Club for some sun and lunch in mid-day.
Have a thrilling Thursday!

You have so many fun activities at your place Liz! Hoping for that if we get to FL!
126.3 today. I'm skipping my shot today and plan to take it on Sunday (10 days between shots). I'm not getting my increased calories in and don't want to load up with junk food just to do so, so I will lengthen my injection cycle and see what that does for my appetite and weight. I'm actually hungry these days but get full relatively quickly. I went to dinner last night really hungry but could only eat 1/2 of a BLT on flatbread. I am really enjoying those Built Puff bars Bonnie talked about on TT. I find them not too sweet, no yucky aftertaste and they are small enough that I don't get overly full from them. I eat 1-2 a day. Nice easy breakfast with a protein coffee or good after dinner or daytime snack if I am running low on calories and/or protein.
Small group at woman's Bible study today but we had good conversation! This Sunday will be the last day for my character development class.
I found a lift chair on Facebook Marketplace for $50 that I'm going to check out tonight to use after my plastic surgery in September. I bought one for my first round but then let my Dad use it and he pretty much trashed it!
Making Liz's WW chicken artichoke casserole for dinner with smashed little red potatoes. It looks so good!
Sounds like a good plan to try stretching out the days. It is definitely best to add healthy calories, not empty ones. Though I did add bread to my half sandwich for lunch when I got to your point (previously I just ate a scoop of tuna). However usually I can only eat one half of that amount of bread anyway.

Greetings all
Another bright sunny day. Got the second eye done this morning. Seemed faster than the first one. They sure run people through that place. Talk about all the people with grey hair! - including the nurses and the surgeon who actually has almost no hair. All good. There is a nurse there whose name is "Pony". Dope growing parents no doubt.
So today's challenge is figuring out what to do all day. Gotta stay home. Up at the crack of dawn which is a rare experience for me. Now what? Most likely will stay in bed and watch true crime tv shows.
Enjoy the beach club party Liz. Yeah a sari is too much work. How about a Nehru jacket from the 60's?
Good score Paula on the chair. My mother actually rented one during the last year of her life from another old lady who did not want to let go of it.
So I am experimenting with DH old reading glasses which work but are not what I need. Vison limbo for a few weeks.
Not much else here. Made myself some eggs. Kind of wishing I could go out somewhere but nothing needed.
So time for Forensic Files. Or maybe Dateline...

DH wore a Nehru collar shirt. You must be glad that the eye surgeries are done. Just a bunch more drops and you will have perfect vision!

Liz, that party sounds so much fun! I know you are going to accessorize just perfectly to fit the theme. I haven't had caviar since I was young, and I was disappointed because I didn't enjoy it. I wonder if my palate has changed enough to appreciate it now. Champagne on the other hand, I have loved since my very first sip.
Today was my quarterly paperwork day, where I wrote all the scintillating progress reports for my caseload. I "locked in" as the kids say, and managed to crank all 20 out. My brain is buzzing now from that high level of focus. I requested my last quarterly paperwork day for June 5. The last time I have to write these tedious reports 4-ever.
We had a nice dinner to celebrate DHs birthday. They had clam chowder as an appetizer, which was perfect for the Wegovy stomach. I shared a Caesar salad with DH, and had a bite of his steak. The salad was pretty filling, so I had enough chowder leftover for lunch today.
No plans this evening, I need to catch up on my paper reading, since I didn't get to it yesterday, or today yet. Having the Minneapolis Tribune delivered daily is getting awfully expensive, but I'm afraid I wouldn't know what was really going on in my city without it. Even more than the hard news, I love restaurant reviews, and news about the fine arts scene etc . So we'll keep it for now.
