121.8 - not too bad after 2 weeks of unusual eating. I'm 1.5 pounds up from my weight before vacation, but still in my preferred range. I decided I should not do any ostriching and fess up to the scale right away.
So great to be home! Justice was so wiggly and happy when I came in. He slept next to me all night which isn't always the case lately.
DH and I went to the Beach Club for dinner last night. We ate at the bar and met a lot of great people to talk to. My meal was a new entree which I absolutely loved - shrimp in a tomatoey cream sauce with zoodles. It was yummy!
Not sure what today will bring except that the bus leaves in an hour for breakfast. We need to review the contents of the freezer as I believe there are a couple of meals frozen in there from prior cooking efforts. Other than that we need to sign the taxes, pay the tip for our charter and settle up on some other expenses from that, and do our monthly financial meeting. It is going to be rainy this afternoon so it is a good day for that after we do our long Justice walk.
Have a surprising Sunday!

208.4 (I think)... Horribly busy day yesterday resulted in poor food intake. But thanks to tirzepatide, hunger was completely at bay. Until dinner time I had consumed only2 Quest bars for a grand total of 360 calories, but 40 grams of protein.
My morning client (elderly woman in her mid 80s) cancelled due to the incoming rain. She does not like driving in bad weather. I don't blame her. I will see her next weekend instead.
Speaking of freezers, Ron and I need to make sure there is room for the new freezer coming from my brother on the 11th. His freezer is relatively new, upright and frost free. Mine is an old chest freezer. Still works great, but not frost free and hard to find things in when it is full.
Not much else to report from here.
I always like having a side-by-side refrigerator and just using that freezer. Even with that we would have too much stuff in it and have to sift through periodically. I just feel like I would lose track of what was in a bigger freezer and end up wasting a lot by letting it stay in there too long and having to throw it away.

That makes sense: You do need a lot of it!

Liz, is your monthly financial meeting between you and Mike, or are you meeting with a financial planner? I like that idea! After 38 years together, our money is completely blended. The finances are auto pilot for me, as DH does all the bills. If I'm going to spend a bigger chunk of money, I check with him, not for permission, but to let him know. But with finances changing to retirement, we'll need to make decisions we don't have to now, such as how to handle the money in IRAs and 401Ks. And I really should know more about his bill paying system. What if something, God forbid, happens to him and he's incapacitated.
We had a very nice travel day, everything went smoothly. We were here by noon, dropped off our bags at the hotel and walked to Beale Street for lunch. We thought go big or go home, and started with the must see BB King's Club. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it might be real corporate and touristy, but it wasn't. Awesome blues trio, good food, good drinks, reasonable prices.
We walked back to our hotel, a real treat to enjoy walk outside weather. We're staying at the Indigo Hotel, an IHG chain. It was a good price, and close to the action, and we get Priority Club Points, but it's not really my style. I think it's geared more towards younger people. It's also, in my opinion, one or two blocks too far from Beale Street. There are 2 huge empty buildings, one next door and one across the street. Feels a little sketchy. I am fine during the day, but I'm not sure about later at night. We might be doing a short Uber ride. It will be fine, but it's not Holston House in Nashville, which I loved.
Thunderstorms tonight, so we'll probably stay in. Tomorrow and Tuesday are supposed to be warm and sunny, but rain is predicted the rest of the week. We're planning on museums the rainy days.
Paula, I'm looking forward to hearing what you thought about the candle lit concert.
Sure hope CC is okay. I see Ann, and Miss 150 and Ocean Diane have posted in the last few days, but I haven't seen anything from CC...
