I get to go home today! Yay! It is 5:30 now and I will be leaving for the airport in 1/2 hour or so. I should be home by 1:00 pm. The drive from here to the airport is fairly easy (1 hour) and the other end is 10 minutes from the house. Such a convenient flight.

Nice dinner out with DD and her in-laws last night though DD was a bit cranky. There was a miscommunication about whether she should keep taking oral progesterone, so her hormones were a bit wacky again. She is back on it and the doctor wants to figure out why her hormones got so out of whack (they feel that is what caused the excessive bleeding). The biopsies came back all negative for cancer!

Don't know what the rest of the day will bring other than a good shower when I get home (I don't feel like washing my hair here). Maybe a Justice walk if it isn't too hot - he always loves that. Probably dinner out somewhere tonight as DH says there isn't much in the house.

I need to get back on the scale. Maybe I have the nerve to do so tomorrow morning. I have more or less been eating like normal since I got here Wednesday (at least more normal than when I was on the boat).

Have a super Saturday!

Wonderful news about the biopsies. Although I'm sorry to hear the rest of it has become "an interesting case" that they are puzzling through. It's beyond good that you can return to DH and Justice knowing DD does not have cancer.

We're off to coffee in a bit. My only plans today are to pack. Once I've done that, I'll probably straighten out my office.

The last couple of days at work without students allow for more chatting and socializing. People have been so nice telling me how much they'll miss me, and how they wish I'd stay another year. I'll miss them too, but not enough to stay any amount of time. :)

When I returned my mail order things from JC Penny I found a rack of bras marked down 85%, the same bra I was currently wearing! I bought 4 more for a total of $51, about what I'd paid for one. I feel so fancy having so many colors all at the same time.

My weight was hovering at the top of my range, and today I'm one pound over. I don't feel like I've changed what I'm eating, or done anything to retain water etc. Maybe increasing the time between doses isn't going to go so well. I'll figure it out, I'm sure, but probably not until after our little trip.

You would still miss each other if you left in another year. Great find on the bras! Also, loved the picture at your coffee place on FB. No wonder you go there every week!

Vacation is here! Whoopie! Didn't get out of bed until after 8 am!!!!

209.1 - a wonderful reading after an intense leg workout yesterday. Also had a good session with the NUT. It's feeling a bit unreal that I only have about 20 pounds to go until I reach my believed ideal weight. The motivation is there to focus on keeping my behaviors in check to get the weight off. I'm still really pleased that I'm not logging macros with my old diet mentality. I still track mentally, but that feels so much kinder than entering things on an app or writing them down and counting calories.

Liz, HIP, HIP HOORAY!!!! What wonderful news!!!! So, she's an interesting case. I'll take that any day over the alternative. I am curious to see if when her body recovers if they end up chocking it down to the IUD. I'm not a fan of those things!

Diamond D, happy travels! Glad you are getting away.

Lots of dog grooming on the books today. Ron is off doing a church retreat of some kind. He had to get up really early (which tickled me to no end for some reason.... probably because he didn't get out of bed until 11 am yesterday! - damn night owl!)

Super Satisfying Saturday to all!!!!

8am is my target wake up time for retirement. That's my standard get up time in the summer. Like Ron, I am a night owl, and if I let my circadian rhythm dictate my schedule, I'm up until 2am, and sleeping until 10am. I find letting myself do this gets me too behind for the day. 8am is a nice compromise.

A lot of people here have an 8 o'clock awakening which is especially good this time of year when it is so dark in the morning. Alas, after all my years of getting up at 4:30, my usual wake-up time is 6 with an occasional 6:30 or 7. But I am also falling asleep at 10 pm.

I am not an IUD fan either but she can't take birth control pills.

Liz, it's truly wonderful news that your daughter doesn't have cancer. Jeez ... what a mess all that was though. Sounds to me like she needs some better doctors going forward.

Greetings all

It's a great sunny day here and DH is preparing to take the dogs on a walk. They become totally unglued when they see him getting his vest and gloves. Better him than me. My plan for the day is to go to the credit union to get small bills for the gallery, take them up there, visit the gym and then go to studio. But for now I get tv control while DH is out.

So little miss Vivian is doing well. They have to do some car seat test where she is in a car seat for an hour without change in heart beat or respiration. I guess this is because she is itty bitty. If this works she can go home later today. There is also some technical stuff about nursing which I do not get. This is one time I am grateful for technology as it allows instant pictures and info updates.

And also grateful Liz that your DD has nothing icky. I bet the IUD is the culprit but the main thing is that she is doing well. And that you get to go back home to warm weather and Justice (and DH too). Maybe you can stay put for awhile.

DD nice to have some good work experiences as you prepare your escape. Good memories. Hoping you have a safe and fun trip.

Ditto Peps. We are all enjoying your countdown. And your weight loss success. Soon you will get to sleep in as much as you like (except when you have 8 am show ring times).

We had left over fish and chips from DH lunch yesterday. Not sure what is for tonight. I have a pot roast but that may be tomorrow.

And hey DD I hear you on the score on new bras. Yesterday at the grocery they had Cobani yogurt for 99 cents. It's usually over $2. Score again.

Sharing pictures of the new one and her Dad.
