How odd that Liz has not yet posted. Hope that means she's having fun in Mass. and not that something is amiss with her DD.
209.7 - up a pound from yesterday, but still under 210, so I'm good.
Gotta run to class, but will post more in a bit.
Add on: Good workout yesterday, but my workout partner was super chatty so we started 30 minutes late. And then she was super chatty during our session so it dragged out. So, in turn, dinner was late. I think those two factors caused the uptick, but I'm still so stoked (ugh, that phrase shows my age!) to be under 210 on a weigh in Friday!
Yesterday I felt true excitement and joy about retirement. The trainer/workout partner brought it up because she is saddened by her husband's attitude toward retirement. (They have been separated for 20 years, but are still very close.) She pointed out the difference between him and me and how we are going into retirement with such different attitudes and physicalities. I am so lucky to have my health and am retiring at a young enough age that I have plenty of life to enjoy. My body is strong and I don't feel the need to slow down or "take it easy". I am feeling like I will have so much more time to do the things I WANT to do, rather than the things I HAVE to do.
Really looking forward to Spring Break. Staying at home and getting some things done around the house will feel great!
Fun Friday!
Love the chipper vibe today Peps! Glad things in your world are going well. You should be stoked!
And yes, I had the same thoughts about Liz not starting the post today. Praying all is well in her (and everyone's) world too!
127 even today! I'll keep things as is for now but if I fall below 125, will intentionally increase calories more and/or space out my injections to every 10 days. I do get hungry toward the end of my injection cycle.
Bible study done for Sunday's class. Now to get on the treadmill! I was going so good, exercising at least 4 times and sometimes 6 times per week. This week with shower prep, not so much.
Dinner will be Olive Garden with the house guests and DC1. I spent the morning prepping food for the shower and don't feel like making or cleaning up after dinner!
My guess is that you will need to increase calories if you are still hovering around 1100. Otherwise you may keep having small losses over time.

I thought I had posted, LOL. I was chatting with SIL.
You are lucky to be going into retirement with a lot of life ahead of you. It's a great time of life!
DD is still doing well. She was picking up her records at the former gyno's office - will be interesting to hear how that goes if she sees her there.
I did go to SIL's yesterday afternoon. We had a good visit, met friends for dinner last night, then I left mid-day after doing a few things around the house for her. She has had another compression fracture in her back (she had several previously). Her spine just seems to be collapsing, her organs are all compressed, and she is bent way forward. They started her on a newer drug for osteoporosis called Prolia in January - it needs to start working soon! She is going to be hiring a housekeeper, have her lawn cut, and is talking about having groceries delivered. All things she could handle easily less than a year ago. Hopefully the tide turns - we go to Spain for a week in 3 months.
I am back at the hotel. Will be meeting DD and her in-laws for dinner at a restaurant near here. Home tomorrow! I miss DH, Justice, and the warmth,
Have a fine Friday!

Prolia is a good med. It is an every 6 months injection. I was all set to take it, but I learned that you have to adhere very closely to the schedule, if it's due, you need to get the injection within a week. I was worried I would be traveling, and then what, so I went with the yearly infusion instead.
Yippee, spring break for the teachers! I went into work this morning at 7:30am, and it was 46 degrees. I used the heated seats, and wore a wool pea coat. When I was leaving I thought, I don't need my gloves or scarf, just my coat. Surprise! It was 79 degrees. Another spring teaser that won't last, as there is a possibility of snow next week. I hope it's while we are in Memphis.
I'm missing check ins from Ann, CC, Miss 150, and pop ins from Ocean Diane. Hope all is well and everyone is busy with happy things.
No big plans tonight except to return some things I ordered from JC Penny. I still like some of their things, but who knows how much longer they will stay open. They are the only anchor store left in the dying mall close to me. Once this one closes I think the last one in my metro area will be at a mall about 30 miles away.
While I did order from Penny's, I have continued to avoid Amazon. The deal I made with myself was no clothes until June, but I could order necessities that were difficult to get other places. So far, I haven't needed to. My small part in lessening the environmental impact of fast fashion and delivery vans. I've saved money.
I am afraid I am not so good at helping with the environment as I get a lot of things from Amazon. Rarely clothing though.

Greetings all
A day of mixed sun and rain. DH had lunch with the Romeos and I had lunch with the Lunch Ladies. Really a very interesting group of retired professionals. There were all kinds of stories about unusual people who used to live around here including some doctor who used to travel with the Rolling Stones and supply drugs. This county has a high per capital number of characters.
So I am trying to get a picture of baby and nephew from Slack Chat to my photos so I can post it. May take me awhile.
Yep Peps you will feel giddy when you are retired and own your time and mind. I felt like a kid skipping school when I went to the grocery store at 10 am on a Tuesday. It will be great. You and DD both.
Liz glad your DD is doing well but sorry that SIL is not. Hopefully she can get all those services she needs. And hoping the new drug works for her.
Paula yay for Olive Garden. You don't need another meal to cook. Enjoy events. Good on you on treadmill. Going to the dentist seemed to be my excuse to skip. No more excuses. Gotta get back. Maybe today! DH is watching a tv show so awful that it might indeed drive me to the gym.
And yeah you AWOL people (you know who you are) check in please.
My brother's roommate may be getting a little rescue dog. It's small and cute and terrier-ish. We shall see. He seems to be getting weary of life in LA because it is a giant parking lot. I wish he would move here but unlikely.
Stopped at the store for a few things including a pot roast for the weekend. Leftover fish and chips for tonight. Split pea and ham soup for lunch which was quite good.
Not much else. Diane S
I do remember that skipping school feeling the first time I went out to lunch on a weekday and had a glass of wine. It felt rather naughty LOL.
