No weight until March 25

Easy trip to Tortola yesterday. Just a bit over 2 hours for the flight, less than 15 minutes to get baggage and go through customs, and a 1 hour drive with a van driver who was like a tour director. Very windy, hilly roads so it wasn't a long drive, but a slow one. One friend who had previously suggested we rent scooters today decided that might not work so well. We are at a very local feeling beach hotel. Very comfortable rooms and what a view. We drank and ate at the attached bar. Great prices and food!

I spoke with DD last night. She is so exhausted which is making it harder for her to advocate for herself. She now needs to fight to get into the new gyno's office. She tried to talk to her now former gyno yesterday after the feedback from the ER and she refused to see her - told DD to work with her PCP because she still thinks it is not a gyno issue.

This morning there are supposed to be showers, but clouds and sun this afternoon. We will probably explore the local area. Probably no swimming as there is lots of surf on this side of the island - also lots of surfers as a result.

Have a fine Friday!

I started a thread since I didn't see one but now Liz's is showing up so I will delete!

129.6. Like Ann, I would like to see these numbers closer to 125 than 130, though I?m not sure why really. More wiggle room I guess! My calories are still quite low. The highest I?ve gone is 1100 and I?ve added exercise about 4 times per week. I?m a little perplexed that this seems to be my maintenance level. Like I said the other day, thankfully I can do it without too much hunger due to the Tirzepatide but man, that is a low caloric intake!

Plan for today is to do treadmill exercise, do some on-line training on increasing Etsy sales and finish setting up the new laptop that was delivered last night. I?ve never used a laptop much, I have my phone and a desktop PC, but DH?s Mac died so we ordered a new laptop for both of us to share. It comes in handy if you need to do Zoom meetings, my desktop doesn?t even have a camera!

DS2 and 3 coming home tonight and I?m sure DC1 will come over too. DH planned an early birthday celebration for me for tomorrow night with all the kids. We will go to my favorite sushi place and then have my favorite cake from the local grocery store (white cake with vanilla buttercream). Several years back I ordered a fancy cake from a specialty bakery (Italian lemon topped with lemon macarons) which was super expensive and truth is I like my grocery store cake better!

Have a Fantastic Friday peeps!

129.0 lbs. this morning.

Good morning, Vietnam! (I love saying that, at least inside my head. I guess it shows my age and that movie's age, which is nearly 40 years old!)

A gorgeous day here--77 degrees and sunny. But this weekend it'll be raining a lot with tornado warnings. Just another springtime in the lower Midwest.

Today's our "anniversary," by which I mean the day we met. We're having dinner at a lovely restaurant which we both like a lot. (Have I mentioned before that Louisville is a huge foodie town?) A happy coincidence is that today I'm getting my hair cut/colored, so that bit is taken care of. I'm still figuring out what to wear tonight, i.e., how glamorous I want to go.

BTW, I don't know if everyone here feel this way, but I really do like getting dressed up. It feels like a celebration of all the hard work I've done these last 11 years to get healthier and become a better version of myself than when I weighed 236 pounds. I've come a long way from the comparative physical and emotional mess I was then. I don't thank myself enough for how I changed my life so dramatically and necessarily back then and, despite some ups and downs, have continued to do so. So today I celebrate myself and everyone here.

I like getting dressed up too when I feel better about myself! You have every reason to celebrate yourself my friend! Have a grand dinner celebrating the day you found your Love!

Was it really 40 years since Good Morning Vietnam?!?

Absolutely great to dress up and feel good! We are so much healthier and look it now!

Greetings all

It has been a mixed day of rain and sun but big rain will come tonight. DH went out to lunch and then to Costco. Not sure what all he brought home. Meanwhile I did my walking and am doing some gluing of art projects. More stuff needs to be done but I am staying home for the rest of the day.

Liz glad you arrived safely. That spot looks wonderful. Sorry your DD is having such a bad medical experience. Can these doctors not agree that something is wrong and try to address it? Beware of scooters.

Happy anniversary Ann. You have really made your sleeve work. Yay. Enjoy getting dressed up. Cool that the town has so many nice places. And yay you and Paula for being scale twins.

This morning I got caught up on gallery banking. Each member pays some membership dues and my job is to collect and account, among other things. Half the people are being in payments so I have to get after them. For most it is being inattentive but one or two are sort of deadbeats. I will rat them out to our board. At the gym I continued to listen to Les Miz. It really is the best musical ever and makes you think about the underlying story of greed, crime, punishment, redemption and honor. I think I read that book a zillion years ago.

We are still watching Dexter which DH regards as a guilty little pleasure. So sick and so entertaining.

There is about a foot of snow on the eagle nest. One of the eaglets may be missing.
