120.2
DD did go to the ER last night and didn't get home until 2 am. They redid bloodwork and the numbers were actually improved so they said there was no reason she couldn't have a biopsy. They gave her a referral to a new gyno and told her that they think it is likely that the hormones in her IUD had probably run out which started the problem but now it is out of place which is exacerbating things.
Busy late day yesterday after getting most of my packing done. I dropped Justice off at the farm just before we went to a Greek night dinner at the clubhouse. Really fun night with good food! We were invited to sit with some new friends and enjoyed their company.
We get picked up by the airport shuttle just after 7 am for the 3 hour drive to Miami. Our flight leaves at 12:30 - another 3 hours in the air to Tortola. We spend 2 nights at a hotel there, then board our charter boat on Saturday. I should have Wi-Fi connection everywhere (though I would guess it will vary on the boat).
Have a therapeutic Thursday!

Liz, I hope last night's DD medical developments will make your BVI vacay more pleasant. I bet it will.
Nothing to report here. Weight is up a bit--time to turn breakfast and lunch into protein drinks.
Next few days are full of appointments re house things (we need a back porch/lanai/something and a longer terraced area--it never ends, apparently). But all's good.
P.S. The spatting is over for now. ;) Thanks for your virtual hugs and assurances. :)

P.S. This morning's weight was 129.2. I'd prefer it stay a little farther away from the 130 mark.

129.2. Ann and I are scale twins today!
Busy morning with woman's Bible study. Now eating lunch, triple zero vanilla yogurt with blueberries and sliced almonds.
Not sure what else is on the docket for today, probably not much. Sun is shining and skies are blue but it still feels chilly out.
Salmon for dinner tonight, we will see if I brave the outdoors and grill it or succumb to using the oven.
Liz, I'm glad DD was able to be seen in the ER and that she got a referral to another gyn. Safe travels today and have a wonderful vacation!
Ann, glad you survived the renovation spat and are continuing on with more home improvements! I wonder why the outdoor relaxation area behind your home is called a patio in Wisconsin and a lanai in Florida and Hawaii? Gonna have to Google that!
-
Lanai:
- Originates in Hawaii and is used in tropical climates.
- Can be a roofed, open-sided veranda, patio, or porch.
- Often connected to a backdoor and under the roofline.
- Can be screened or have sliding glass panels.
- Can be considered part of the "interior space" of a home.
- Patio:
- A paved, flat, open-air outdoor space.
- May or may not be covered.
- Typically used for dining or recreation.
- May be attached to the house or freestanding.
- Veranda:
- A long, roofed porch that often wraps around a house.
- May be a large porch for entertaining or a gallery along one or more sides of a home.
- Often found in Victorian or New Orleans-style homes.
- Can be screened in or have sliding glass panels.
Thanks for looking that up! I have always wondered if there was a real difference. Sounds like more than anything the lanai must be in a tropical climate and then usually has a roof and is attached to the house.
Where I am in CA we have patios and decks. Very rarely you'll find a house with a porch.
Did I mention that I am now officially part of the Early Retirement Incentive Program? Got a hand delivered letter from HR on Tuesday. The School Board approved applicants for the ERIP. Being #5 on the district seniority list ensured my placement in the program, but it's nice to have the official paperwork. No going back now! 50 more teaching days...
Will post pics of possible future babies on TT. Looking at their cuddly faces makes me smile from the inside out.
Weight was 212 today. I had a higher carb day yesterday, so not a surprise. I feel like I'm in maintenance (but just about 20 pounds higher than I'd like).
Not sure if it's still the time change or the fact that I had to get up 3 times last night to let Bug out to potty. She was having poop urgency. Not really diarrhea, but something was pushing it through! At least she goes out, immediately does her poop and comes back in. But it does interrupt my rest, I think.
Liz, happy travels! I sometimes your vacation lifestyle. I bet if I didn't have all the dogs, I would travel more. Well, I like to think so, anyway.
It's COLD here today. YUCK. I think the weather guy said something like 15 degrees below average temps for this day. Brrrrrr.....
Congratulations on the 50 day countdown (10 working weeks, 2.5 working months)!
