119.2 for the 3rd day in a row

Yesterday was a beautiful beach day and we also had a great dinner at the Beach Club last night. We are in a stretch of good weather as is usually the case once we get into March. To answer DD's question from yesterday, for some reason being at the beach is the only time DH can sit still for an extended period of time. He gets nudgy if we are at home with nothing planned but can spend 6 hours at the beach. I guess in his mind he is doing "something". He reads, listens to music, and usually naps at some point.

DD called her aunt (my very close SIL) to talk to her about what is going on with her health. SIL had endometrial cancer about 25 years ago so went through some similar testing.

Today is the 20th anniversary of the last time DD went on a visit. Her best friend had just had a baby a couple of weeks prior and DD's first priority after leaving the hospital was to go see her. It was the only time she ever held little Molly though she became her godmother posthumously.

Today the bus is leaving for breakfast in 10 minutes. DH and I are playing golf at 4. Not sure of the plan in between. Have a safe and super Sunday!

140.4

Nice day and feeling very quiet here in the house. DH and DS#1 on road trip to Wichita to visit with DH's older brother who took a nasty fall and was in hospital-now moved to rehab. All fine and progressing well. He is by himself out there - When it gets close to time to go home, I'll go out and clean clean his very nice, but very messy house, stock up, and tend to him for a bit. He used to be a dog person ( Labradors- each and every one of them named Snowball #s 1,2,3...as they came along). I might take Swann out with me as a "therapy dog".

Funny being alone with my time...plenty of projects to do, and probably won't get many of them done. Funny how that works...

Am glad DD's being proactive health wise...I am sure she will weigh in accounting for drs professional advice, balance that with the knowing she has of her situation and then, trusting her innermost promptings, make the right decision.

BIL is lucky to have you and DH to help him. Those projects will get done eventually. It's nice to have alone time and just enjoy it sometimes.

Busy getting ready for my friend coming to town tomorrow for the week. I rarely get bursts of organizational mojo, and it never happens when I?m not by myself, but last night I got some and tackled the rest of my office. Files with labels made, drawers vacuumed, every piece of paper sorted, many shredded, all tax documents present, printed, and accounted for (have to do my tax organizer still), lots of stuff trashed, some things scanned and sent to my treasurer replacement, and some things set aside to make calls Monday. It feels good!

I also cleaned both fountains and their filters. Blech. One had a melting toad in the filter bag and tiny little bones in the fountain pond. Ick. Then I made up the guest bed, and installed a new piece of racking in the dishwasher that had broken.

I also ordered hand weights that came yesterday inspired by Peps! I have work to do, I struggled to get them out of the box. I ended up with the adjustable Bowflex weights. You turn a dial and it grabs just the number of weight plates you want from 5 to 52 pounds. I could hardly lift one with both hands in its complete, 52 pound state. Pathetic...

Today is cleaning day. I best go get started. Hope everyone has a great day!

209.4 Look at that - a zero in the tens place! Now to go for a 1 in the hundreds.... Getting close.

Winter came back yesterday. Even brought rain. It's cool and cloudy today.

Liz, you memory is magnificent, but a lot of those memories of Elise are bittersweet. I hope they don't bring up too much sadness. I can remember things about my mom now without a flux of feelings. Just memories - some nice, some not.

CC, I had a bit of an organization day, too! I got six large 40 gallon bags of clothes packed and taken to Goodwill. I also tackled all the dog towels that Ron washed an never folded or put away, dog beds washed, etc... So I made a very small, but decent impact on the HOARDER GARAGE yesterday. That felt good.

Bonnie, I know I stress that protein and the quality of calories are very important, but I remind you that you have inventive plumbing that has saved your life. You do you, lady! Get those life sustaining calories in anyway you can. And yes, Swann should go as therapy dog... Nothing like a feisty little terrier to brighten spirits!

New dog client today. I'm always a little leery of new dogs... Not sure how they will behave or the condition I will find them in.

Must get on with it!

Calories as in -necessary burn able energy nuggets - I guess sometimes for me, calories are just that- calories- no matter the source. Thanks.

Much energy in this group today between you and CC.

Memories about DD still do make me sad but I have certainly learned to live with that. When it is your child you always miss them and what their future would have been like. Much more profound than losing a parent or a sibling (since I have had those losses as well).

128.4! Liz was right, when my body decides to give up some weight, it usually is a good amount before it get stingy and holds on to it again. Almost another pound down!

Church and my class were good today. No tears today but lots of good opening up!

Sunny and cool today. Not much else planned except that I?ve decided on shrimp quesadillas for dinner. Easy and relatively healthy!
