Not much here today either. Jury duty is over. Whew! Almost had to go back today. I was one of 10 potential jurors instructed to report today, but literally while the judge was dismissing the other members of the jury pool the attorneys walked back into the courtroom to tell the judge they had selected the two alternates. Voila! I was excused.

210.9 - exactly the same as yesterday.

I got some nice and emotional personal messages on FB last night after posting my pics and a bit about my journey - mostly from people feeling shame for being on or considering being on a GLP1 medication and thanking me for being open.

Lakeland Terrier puppies have been born. 5 boys, 1 girl... Which means probably no girl puppy for me! Booooo, but I will be more than happy with a little boy, I think!

Liz, so sorry to hear about DD. I like the idea of taking her to the OR and doing general anesthesia for her biopsy. Praying for answers for you all!

130.5. Will I ever get there?

Shot day today. Took 2 mg. I think I will stick to once per week for a bit and see how that goes for me.

Woman's Bible study was good this morning.

Praying for DC1, mental health still in the crapper, taking more leave from work! I really hope they don't lose their job!

Off soon to get taxes done, yippy!

So sorry DC1 is struggling. Sounds like they have a lot of potential but their head gets in the way.

I also don't have much to say as it was a pretty ordinary day. I will share this: A kid was working with me and suddenly paused and asked, " Have you ever tasted your own earwax?" Depending on the kid I might say, that's a weird question. I'm probably not someone you should be asking. This kid is a popular kid and was trying to be funny by being outrageous. My response was, Really? and then we got back to the assignment.

We are having a nice pre spring week. The trick is to enjoy it for what it is, and not be tricked into thinking winter is over.

Those kiddos crack me up. In the beginning of my career I would get flustered by questions like that. Now, I'd say something smart ass right back like, "No, what does it taste like?" or "Of course, tastes just like chicken!" or "EARWAX? You don't ask a gentleman about his earwax! It's like asking a lady her age!" Then move things right along.

I like to write down some of the best ones. One of my favorites, 14 years old, on the spectrum:

Me: George this project is due in a few days. Where are you at? I'm getting worried.

George: You should be. ( Died laughing after I walked away.)

Or another ASD student walks into the classroom. I'm wearing a sleeveless dress. The student with total sincerity: Oh Mrs. DD, you look so pretty. I've never seen your arms before. (Its true, I usually wear a cardigan with sleeveless dresses because I'm always cold)

I guess kids definitely say the darndest things. There must be sites with similar quotes. We used to trade people's comments on insurance accident reports around. Messing up grammar sometimes led to very funny descriptions.
