120.4 - injection day
Today is also Galentine's Day per the radio - maybe it should be Palentine's day instead?
Yesterday was run-around busy mostly because bocce was in the middle of the day and we had errands to do. Plus I made the chili (which came out pretty good btw). I hit some golfballs around 5 while the chili was cooking and did not do very well. My practice drives were good but practicing with the clubs I use on the fairway was not. Much worse than the last couple of weeks sigh.
I was practicing because I play golf in the 9 hole association today. Feeling nervous about it after that practice. We are supposed to have drinks late afternoon with the neighbors below us and the wife's brother but she said yesterday she wasn't sure he was coming. Guess we will find out today.
Thinking all good thoughts and crossing all toes and fingers that DD wakes up this morning feeling like she is returning to her healthy self!
Have a Therapeutic Thursday!

131.2! So close! I?m officially down 60 lbs. it took me 8 months which is interesting as that was what it took me to get to goal after VSG, but I lost 110 lbs. that time and then another 9 without trying. I think the low 120?s are too low for my build. I?ll have to decide what dose to go to during maintenance. Right now I?m doing 2.5 mg twice a week. I might reduce that to 1.5 mg twice weekly to start with and see what happens!
I?m still adding a few things to my tropical retreat wall. Ordered a little surf board and some starfish and sand dollars. Found a property in FL that checks all our boxes (and then some). Hoping that when we are ready to pull that trigger something perfect will come along.
DC1 left work early due to poor mental health/depression. They told work they had a family emergency. Been hanging at our house since this morning. I want to be there for them (they literally don?t have anyone else), but feel like I also need to set some boundaries. Since DH and I had already planned to celebrate Valentines tonight with a sushi dinner, I told DC that they were welcome to stay here until we left for dinner but that we had a date night planned. So hard to know what is helping and what is enabling! I?m sure DH would have felt obligated to invite DC along, but that?s where the boundaries come in!
Bible study with the ladies this morning was good as always. We really do have a great group of women who love God and each other well!
Weather continues to be quite frosty with temps below zero into the single digits for lows for the next week with the exception of Saturday when we will have a heat wave with temps ranging from 22-30. I really dislike cold temps!
Sorry your golf game isn?t cooperating with you Liz! Maybe the new clubs will be just the ticket!
Such a fine line between support and enabling. I have been there. So hard to know how to help sometimes.

I'm starting to feel like a real bore. The decongestant is drying me out, so I won't be spewing germs on the plane tomorrow. I still have a fever and body aches, but I'll hit it with Advil tomorrow if needed.
I had a pedicure appointment scheduled this afternoon, but I cancelled it. No need to bring my nice ladies any germs. I tried doing it myself. It looks exactly like I did it at home :) At least with weight loss I can reach my toes. And even if its not professional looking, it'll do.
So still planning on getting on that plane, masked and drugged up.
I do think I finally have enough energy to put a few things in the suitcase. Pedicure and packing, I must be feeling better if I can do that. So glad I called in sick for tomorrow.
Positive thinking! You WILL feel better tomorrow!!!

127.0 lbs.
DD, you and your sweetie so deserve this Florida vacay! I look forward to your pix and rhapsodies of warmth.
We have more cold weather coming next week, so I'm already planning my layers.
Hubby had a medical appointment this morning to plan for a surgery to correct hammer toe surgery he had 17 months ago. He's not pleased with the surgeon who did the initial work, but this guy's the local foot expert, so DH is sticking with him for the repair work, which the surgeon swears is minor compared to the initial surgery. That guy better be right or else!
Nothing new to report. A grey day, and we're just hanging out. But we're contented.
Tomorrow night we're going to a Valentines dinner party. We're bringing dessert--a Bundt cake soaked in orange juice, which looks fab (I picked it up already). Dinner will be bolognese, which sounds wonderful to me. We'll also take a bottle of magnificent Amarone, which I hope is still good (2012). No need to save it any longer for a special occasion. We're alive and in love and having a Valentines dinner with lovely friends. How much more special could life be?!

When are kids were little, we used to host a Valentine's Party for friends and their kids. I made pasta shells, heart shaped bread, and butter in heart shaped molds. Everyone else brought something pink/red or heart shaped. Bonus points if it was both! The kids would run crazy through the house hepped up on chocolates, and the grown ups would sit in the dining room, drinking wine, chatting and taking turns checking on the cherubs. Wonderful memories.
