118.8 - down .2 from the 5 day streak LOL

Our group all seems to like staying rooted! I worked for the same company in one capacity or another for 39 years. I was married to deceased DH for 38 years. I have kept my maiden name as part of my name for my entire life LOL.

We started to watch a good movie on MAX last night: We Live in Time. At one point the wife who has a cancer which has recurred has her hair shaved off before the chemo can make it fall out. Brought back when I took DD to the hairdresser to do that because clumps were falling out. I was crying so DH turned it off. I told him that I didn't mind feeling the feels but he was uncomfortable. I will have to finish the movie on my own.

For once no assigned activities though we do have a Super Bowl party to attend tonight. Possible daytime plans after our Justice walk are going to a venue with outdoor music or to the beach club to vegetate to the sound of the ocean. Now that we are in high season it will be very busy there so we have to go early to get a good spot.

We are just getting back from breakfast (the 7:30 bus was prompt). Justice walk next. Have a sustainable Sunday!

I feel compassion for my dad, but the depression is driving me nuts. The one word answers, moping, no engaging with us, no interest in anything... I don't know what to do. It's frustrating, yet understandable. Hopefully the Super Bowl perks him up.

We are watching season 2 of Night Action on Netflix. That is stressing me out too! Good show, but I can only do 2 episodes at a time at most.

Today I am hiking with a friend for a short hike and then a friend and her daughter from MI who spend the winter here are coming for the game.

I need to pick up before my hiking friend comes over as she hasn't seen my house. Visitors are a great way to get me to clean up.

Enjoy your Sundays! I messaged DianeO to see about TT. All my posts are going to pending.

Great idea to get out for a hike in those beautiful surroundings and clear your mind!

Really glad to hear from you, CC. I've been worried about y'all, too. I wish your dad were rallying better emotionally--for him and all of you. I imagine he wouldn't respond well to a suggestion that he take an antidepressant of any kind.

Like Liz, I'm glad you're getting out for some sunshine and hiking.

Regarding TT connectivity, I seem to be shut out of posting there, too. Something's gone haywire. I've tried 3-4 times just now to post over there and got strange messages including these:

1) an admin or moderator has to approve some messages in this group

2) "Send the following on WhatsApp. This site is trying to open another application. Allow/Disallow"

I've NEVER seen anything like this on any FB group I've ever joined.

Diane O, can you confirm that you're still the admin/moderator for TT?

Apparently, I can make a post on TT, but can't comment on my own post. Can someone else see if they can comment on my TESTING post over there?

NOPE! My TESTING post was declined and is now "PENDING".

FB now says: "To help keep this group safe, admins review some posts before they're visible to others. You'll be notified when your post is published in the group."

I had the same! I wonder if Facebook did one of their blanket setting changes and Diane needs to flip a switch back?

Liz your daughter had such a fabulous head of hair, watching it be shaved off must have been very sad.

CC, sorry your Dad is struggling so much. How long does it typically take him to recover and return to his normal self?

Ann thanks for heading the charge to try to figure out what is happening with TT.

Yesterday I woke up thinking I have a cold. So much for my super immunities. I tried ignoring it, but yep, a head cold. Doesn't have me down for the count just that sort of spacy feeling when your head is full of snot. I think it's good timing though. I can rest today, and I should be better by Friday, when I'm getting on the plane. Much better than being sick on vacation.

Yesterday I did have enough energy to go through my remaining small clothes bin. It is now empty. Some back in rotation, some going to the thrift store. A few things were left from my very lowest weight. I don't think I will ever be that small again, and I'm okay with that. Its very liberating and peaceful at the same time.

125.2 (lowest in a while--probably because I pooped 4 times yesterday!)

So here's a post from me that's not related to TT's irregularities. :)

Super Bowl Day! We've decided to stay home and watch it in bed (since that's the only place we have to sit and watch TV up here in our READ (Remodeling Emergency Attic Domicile).

I'm a Chiefs fan, although the Eagles would probably be my #2 NFL team to root for (I enjoyed the Eagles-Commanders game a lot). I bet that for many viewers tonight's game will be exciting and emotional.

I especially hope there isn't any crazy-guy-with-a-weapon in NOLA tonight, after that awful pickup truck attack on Bourbon Street in January.

This will be another busy week for both remodeling and relocation reasons. Good news is I DID join the nearby gym and have enrolled next Tuesday morning for a yoga class and a free fitness consult from one of the trainers there. I'm not going to hire a trainer, but mearly want to learn what machines they have and would recommend for my goals. Also I think they have one of those gizmos you stand on and find out what your muscle/fat/etc. proportions are. Better than just a weight scale. I am confident I've lost muscle density these last two years since I last did a test like that. I'll report what I find out.

Here's hoping everyone is doing well. I like hearing what's happening--good or bad. DD, I especially hope that your head cold fades fast in Florida's lovely weather.
