Good catch! I was also surprised by all of Ocean's DS progeny. LOL!

I saw an ad for those trikes and thought genius! My Mom had a 3 wheel bike in Florida (aka an adult tricycle, it said so on the shipping box) and while it was fun and got me to the pool, you're not setting any speed records. And while I'd like to cruise about with the wind in my hair, I am hesitant to ride a 2 wheel bike for fear of falling and breaking a hip, because of my osteoporosis. But a 3 wheel much more stable, and with an electric assist ~ Zoom!!!

212.7 - ounce by ounce I keep plugging away.

Lunch lady brought me "healthy" cinnamon roll.... UGH.... so hard to resist. At least it was kindergartener sized! Then she brought me another while I was doing yard duty and put it next to my laptop. That one I put to the side and pretended it was not mine! LOL!

While the weight is coming off slowly (frustratingly so), I am feeling really good about working out and strength training. I like to believe that while I am losing fat I am building muscle. That seems plausible given I am smaller, but weigh pretty much the same. I did some reading on losing fat and building muscle. They are contra indicative of one another. To lose fat one must be in a calorie deficit. To build muscle one needs to be in a calorie surplus. To do both simultaneously is a rarity. Fingers crossed I am one of those rarities. LOL! Perhaps I'm losing fat and simply MAINTAINING muscle. I'd be completely happy with that, too.

Did back on Monday, chest on Tuesday, legs yesterday. Today I will do a push pull with some arms and abs. I hate abs!

Shot day today. The 5 month supply arrived earlier this week from a new pharmacy. I hope this compound is as good as the one I've been using the past 9 months. I do have left over from my last vial. Do I use that up first? IF it's not enough for a full dose, can I use the other pharmacy's meds to complete the dose? Input????

Another rainy, gloomy day here. We need the rain, so it's okay. It's unusually cold here for rain, though - low to mid 40s.

having a thingamajig Thursday sounds like a plan!!!

I'm a yankee and use every drop so I'd use the old, then the rest of the dose from the new (different syringes).

Had to laugh at I'm a yankee. It is a definable mindset.

It is absolutely!!!! I've always referred to that mindset as a New Englander, though. Having family from the south I've learned that pretty much anyone from north of Maryland is a Yankee! LOL!

So true! My mother used to call herself a yankee - she saved every rubber band, twist tie, aluminum foil pieces not dirty, etc. (and so do I). Very handy to have that stuff sometimes...

Peps, I'm certain you are achieving the rare status of simultaneous fat-loser and muscle-builder. Your gym exploits are beastly (and I mean that in the nicest possible way).

Greetings all

More rain today. I am home early as I just did not feel like doing the studio today. It's in an old funky building and sometimes feels gloomy and cold. I do have a heater. Oh well. I did the gym and waddled happily to Smokey and Aretha. Then I stopped at the hippie health food store because I was out of red rice yeast. Got stuff for chili on Super bowl sunday and a few other items. I am a sucker for their deli roast beef. It really amazes me that I am no longer a sugar junky. Just carbs.

Ocean Diane So good to hear from you! We wonder what you are up to. Yep guess we all get a bit of seasonal disorder. Glad yours is lifting. Enjoy spring as it arrives. I say yes on the electric trike. My brother has one and it looks nice. He got it a couple of years ago to go to Burning Man. Worked well. I have no idea if he uses it much these days. Seems like it would be fun to go cruising with wind in the hair. Go for it.

DMV Ann = seventh circle of hell. But bless those workers. Not an easy job. Who knew they charge for SSI card. I had to get a new one 15 years ago but I don't recall a charge. Such chores are un-fun. Reward yourself.

Yes Liz you are very busy for a retired person. We are all in awe. Keep on truckin'.

So we went to the sushi place last night. It was quite good. Brought about half of my dragonfly roll home. Shrimp and avocado and a sweet/hot sauce. Place was quite busy and actually full of fairly civilized looking people. Kind of nice. Lots of people around here are sort of "feral" so it's nice to see a nice sit down place.

GL on the work out Peps. Yep you have achieved the very difficult of losing fat and not muscle. You are doing it right. Guess the right way is not the fast way. Reminder of the protein pushing surgeons. They are right.

Steak tonight. I had the rest of my sushi for lunch. Still have much paperwork to do. Made a list.
