Pretty sure I couldn't do any yoga with fidelity. Does your association hire the bully teacher? Sounds like she's not making any friends.
Glad to hear you are on the mend Paula. While Paxlovid can help keep you out of the hospital, it seems it comes with it's own issues: a lot of people get a very bad taste in their mouth while on it. DH referred to it as poop mouth.
California waiting for rain, here in Minnesota we are way way low in precipitation too. I'm afraid we could enter summer in a drought. Not sure where all the snow has gone. I don't miss dealing with it, but a light covering would be nice because it is so ugly brown everywhere. Dead vegetation as far as the eye can see. It was supposed to snow today. I saw about 10 nice fat flakes, then nothing.
My weight went down this morning, so maybe I don't have to make any hard decisions yet. I can deal with fatigue and muscle aches, but I am drawing the line at unwarranted weight gain.
I uncovered an interesting financial situation. I opened a gold delta sky miles Amex in my own name for the 70,000 miles and for my Scotland trip. I had one years ago to get the miles, and then later closed it because we didn't need to pay the annual fee on 2 cards. We upgraded DHs card to Platinum, and I got a card on that account. So I open my new card to buy tickets to Scotland, and discover it has a $2000 limit. What, am I 12 years old? My credit score is in the 800s. Ladt time we checked them, mine was a smidge higher than DH. This is crazy. I talked with 3 people at American Express, and no, they could not raise the limit for 90 days. Fine, I'll use the Platinum card. It is declined when I hit purchase tickets. It has a $30,000 limit, and we pay it off each month so what the heck? I call Amex again, and they tell me I have a $500 limit on that card. OMG! I've been walking around the world thinking I have $30,000 of credit that would cover most any immediate emergency, and all I really have is $500. They told me DH just needs to go into his online account and up the limit. Neither of us realized that my card couldn't tap all the credit available. I do have other credit cards in just my name, but I never carry them, because I either use my debit card or the American Express card for the Delta miles. Now I need to check to see if they are even active.
I feel foolish and a little embarrassed that I am apparently a 60s housewife. I'm mad at Amex for dissing me with a $2000 limit, but I guess I'd better make some purchases and gas up my own credit history again. I'm glad I discovered this before I left for Europe with DD. I would probably have resurrected one of my Mastercard or Visa anyhow, because I wouldn't travel with just one card, but still.
Otherwise, not much going on here in my quiet house. Just me, not spending money.
Getting the cards in your own name is actually a really good idea. I had one card that I used almost exclusively during my first marriage. Ben had a card too but rarely used that card. When he died, I call the CC card company to cancel his card and because I was the secondary on the account, they immediately cancelled mine too. All my automatic deposits, bill pays etc. we?re tied to that card! Poof gone with no warning!
Thanks to all for these tips about credit card baloney before, during, and post-marriages. Maybe I will call up Amex and ask them how I can maximize my own situation under all possible cir****tances. Because, as we all know (some of us from personal experience), cir****tances can change without warning.

I'm super-late posting today. It was a good day--warmer and looking like it'll hit nearly 70 degrees next week.
This morning I had a lovely at-home yoga session (by myself). And Liz, for the record from someone who has had a GREAT yoga teacher and years of instruction and yoga practice in classes and by myself, your substitute yoga teacher SUCKS! Nobody who's a good yoga teacher would EVER be judgmental or dismissive of anyone in their class. IMHO, that's grounds for her teacher decertification.
Having said that, I'm very glad you're enjoying your yoga class. Over ten years when I started studying yoga seriously (meaning merely that I joined a twice-a-week class and kept going for years and started doing yoga at home on several non-class days every week) I could barely stand up without falling over. I had terrible balance, wasn't strong, wasn't flexible, was definitely at the bottom of the class. In fact, I had to put my mat in a corner, so if I fell over (and I famously did fall over all the time) I had two walls to fall against, rather than the floor. Anyway, all I really did was just keeping coming to class. And wonder of wonders ... I gradually got better. And then I got more better. And more better. And eventually I even got good at it. And all the time I kept enjoying it more and more. For me it's just lovely and confidence-building. But the one thing it is NOT is competitive, except with myself. And even that's not the kind of competitiveness that ever makes me feel ashamed or self-conscious. I could wax on and on, but I'll end my paean to yoga here.
The rest of my day included a much-needed manicure, a trip to Kroger, lots of gin rummy with DH, and now watching a University of Kentucky basketball game against Arkansas, which is coached by the recent ex-Kentucky coach who took a lot of Kentucky's players to Arkansas with him. It's a close game, which makes it interesting.
That's all I got. Night-night!
