Greetings all

The rain has arrived. It's slow and steady and not too bad. No wrecks on the freeway so far. I did my usual pajama - coffee - dawdling today and then went to the gym and walked. More Aretha. Good thing she has a zillion recordings and I like all of them. After that I went to the studio and did some glazing. The usual suspects were about.

Nice that you have weight records Liz. I tend to associate weight with certain events - like I was skinny on the trip to Italy or I was fat on that ski trip to Vail. One thing I did learn is that after every traditional diet when I lost 20, 30 or 40 pounds, I gained it back and then some. I told Dr. Cirangle that I had abandoned traditional dieting for that reason and he said it was good and that I would have ended up heavier if I hadn't. Who knows; that may have been his bias as a bariatric surgeon.

Paula glad you are feeling a little better. That chicken soup sounds icky. But it was nice of them to do it. Hoping you do not have strep and that you recover soon.

Yep DD and Ann, I too get every shot I can. All the covids, flu, pneumonia, shingles and whatever they got. Too many old people die from this stuff. No thanks. And gosh DD, I didn't think about how schools are petri dishes but indeed they are. But soon you will be on permanent vacation from petri-ville!

Peps those scan results sound great. All fat loss! Yay. Your workouts really are paying off.

Just had an apple with peanut butter. Pink Lady. Delish.

No weekend plans here. I need to get caught up at the studio and go buy some more clay. Another reminder of how much 25 pounds matters. No wonder I feel gimpy.

In some ways I wonder if all the germ exposure gives better immunity. Most of my illnesses tend not to viral. Except Covid which I've had 3 times, with each time being milder than the time before.

I am on the same page as you. My first year in the classroom I caught everything! I remember being absolutely miserable over our February break - sick as a dog and peeved that I was in bed the entire 5 days off!

Now, after 30+ years amongst the littles, I can offer that my immune system seems to do pushups in the parking lot just waiting for some virus, germ, or bacteria to come along and kick it to the curb. Given the number of sick kids and adults I encounter on a weekly basis, I should be sick A LOT! I am hardly ever sick. Every day I've taken off this year has been for personal reasons - no sick days (though some were reported as sick days...)

Like you, I've had Covid 3 times. The last time was a just like a mild flu.
