118.4 even after great shrimp scampi last night. I might actually eat a donut today (or maybe half - I'm not sure my stomach could handle that much sugar at one time). What I'd really like is a scone at DD's favorite place but that's not an option LOL.
It snowed last night! Just a coating but it was very pretty coming down. Justice refused to spend much time out yesterday because it was pouring rain most of the day and still mixed precipitation at his last walk. Poor Justice did a poop in the middle of the night - in the bathroom near the toilet. That's what he usually does if he has an emergency.
All presents wrapped and ready! We leave at 11 for DH's daughter's home for their family Christmas. Should be fun with all the kids there, DH's ex and her BF, and 3 dogs (including Justice). We are staying at a hotel near there tonight while Justice stays at the house. After breakfast back at the house tomorrow morning we return here for one night.
I need to figure out what I need to pack. It's going to be COLD there (single digits at night). But first a real Justice walk - possibly on the beach if it isn't too windy.
Have a sleigh bell Saturday!
Post-walk update: Baby it's cold outside!

Hopefully you have just enough snow for a White Christmas Liz! Personally, I think white Christmases are overrated!
142.2 today. Probably better hydration. I was soooo thirsty yesterday while Costco shopping that I downed a full bottle of water on the ride home! I need to do so much better with hydration.
Finally heard back from DH's doctor's office. He is scheduled for an MRI on January 2 but they also wanted to see him again since symptoms are increasing. Saw a different doc today and she did a pretty extensive neurological exam (all of which was normal). She recommended decreased caffeine (no more than 80 mg per day, increased water, and increased salt/electrolytes. DH does drink way too much caffeine with his alternating 12 shift schedules! Hopefully the MRI will be normal and all we have to worry about is dietary changes. I couldn't sleep last night worrying about becoming a widow again! Criminy! Don't know why I have to go to worst case senario! I do feel better after his exam today!
DS3 here for a week. I think DC1 will come over for dinner (chicken taco bowls) and DS2 rolls into town Monday night! Bought a few premade Christmas cookies and frosting to decorate. One of DH's favorite Holiday treats. I decorated a small plate full and will save the rest to decorate when DS2 gets here, it us one of his favorite Holiday activities!
Hope you are all enjoying your Holiday preparations and festivities!
Hang in there. I know we can jump to thinking the worst at times but odds are it isn't even close to something that dire.

Shrimp scampi sounds absolutely delicious. I think I need some more protein! They had scones today at our place, but last week I felt a little woozy when we left, so I thought I'd try a breakfast sandwich. It was very good!
I feel like the Wegovy may be setting my appetite at the calorie range needed to maintain my current weight. I've heard fables that is how naturally thin people's metabolism work. It's almost as if I cannot overeat. Or maybe I could defeat it like you can a sleeve, but I have no desire to. The problem I see though, if I do indulge in a treat here or there, it's not in addition to nutritious food, it can end up replacing nutritious food. Something to watch. When I'm not doing so well on protein, I've been pausing to drink a glass of fair life milk here and there. 13 grams of protein, 80 calories is a good deal, and I like it better than the shakes. And it spreads out the calcium for better absorption. I'm drinking 2 to 3 glasses a day either having one before a meal or in between.
I think I'll venture to Costco this evening, close to closing. There are few thing I need, and then we can pick up the rest of the groceries tomorrow. Dear daughter arrives tomorrow morning, dear son on Monday night. My heart is happy.
It's the darkest day of the year today, with just a little over 8 hours of light. It is overcast today, so even darker. Tomorrow the light will increase by 4 minutes, and every day it will grow. And so it goes, the light eventually returns, and everything has it's season.
I love watching the days get longer. Light is so uplifting.

215.3 today. I thought I might be back down in the 214s today because I got up to pee twice last night! But alas....
I am proud of myself for hitting the gym 4 days this work week. I've been really very good about getting 3 workouts in each week. Adding a 4th this week felt like a little feather in my cap.
Body dysmorphia is odd and unpredictable for me. I can perceive different versions of myself in a single day - within a single hour, honestly. It is a real issue and one of which I am aware, so it no longer "rules" me as it once did. However, I have flare ups. My mental baggage around weight, appearance, etc... are extremely deep rooted, so I am not alarmed by the fact that I have the occasional resurgence of the dysfunctional thinking and body image.
That dysfunctional thinking is one of the reasons I opted for relying on DEXA scan data for information rather using only the scale number and BMI. In BMI land I have a BMI of 34 and I am clinically obese and would have another 57 pounds to lose before reaching a normal BMI. I have had to work really hard to get past the mind f*ck I allowed the BMI to create in me.
Diamond D. would love to hear (read) more about your Wegovy thoughts and how you think that might be working. I have been having some similar feelings. I am going to have to decide by mid January how I want to proceed with tirzepatide now that the FDA has removed it from the shortage list. I think I will most likely bit the bullet and order a six month supply. That's going to be a lot out of pocket at one time, but I have my HSA for the first part of the year, so at least that will make it pre tax dollars!
Decorating and cleaning on the docket for the rest of the day and tomorrow. Not much else.
Of course the DEXA scan information is way more reliable than the stupid one-size fits all BMI.
