119 - the official weight for the week. Stable weight for 5 months now without counting calories. I have a year of tirzepatide stored up thankfully to keep me here.
Yesterday was busy but all went off without a hitch except that DH ended up having to wait at the car rental place for almost an hour because SIL and I were having a good time at lunch. He decided to go run an errand and meet me there rather than waiting to go when I called and said I was ready. I felt stressed but he wasn't upset. Sometimes I am my own worst enemy.
The initial results of my blood tests are all good - great cholesterol, glucose and A1C numbers. My BP has been right where it is supposed to be of late (though I am sure it will be higher when they take it at the doctor's office vs at home).
Today we are at the house. I need to open all my boxes from SIL's home and wrap. I might plug in my little Christmas tree for atmosphere. Tonight will be date night as most other nights are booked. I plan to eat better for my meals during the day than I have the last few days. Though yesterday I had an excellent chicken pot pie at lunch and only ate 1/3 of it so there is that available. What a deal that was! The cost of an appetizer but enough for at least 2 meals and so, so tasty.
But first a Justice walk in the cold air (40 so not terrible if the wind is down). Have a flirty Friday!

141.3, up .2. I knew the daily loss couldn't continue! Happy with what I have been losing though!
DH finally off for a few days. He works Monday and then I think is off most of next week! Yay! Kids start rolling in today. DSD and fiancé won't make it for Christmas after all, she is scheduled to work!
Major grocery store run today in preparation for lots more mouths to feed! Menus have been planned and grocery lists made out! Going to wait for DH to wake up so I don't have to do it alone. Hope Costco isn't nuts but this time of year, when are they not?
I think I will balance check books and look at the business "books" or more accurately spreadsheets. I'll need to submit sales and use taxes before we leave for Maui.
Didn't hear back from the doctor's office yet regarding getting in sooner for an MRI. Probably won't happen as everyone is trying to get things done before the New Year begins if their deductibles have been met (ours haven't).
So frustrating waiting for doctors office calls - it always feels critical to us but not to them.

Liz, it's so funny you asked if I told anyone at work I was retiring. At first I was reluctant to say anything, but now I mention it to someone daily! They all probably wish I would shut up about it! Even the students know now. I will submit the official paperwork in February or early March. A staffing grid comes out that time, and staff can request voluntary transfers for the coming year. In case someone was wanting to move to my school, I want my position to show a vacancy.
Break has started. DH and I are going to see a movie starring Daniel Craig called Queer in a few minutes. Seems to have an art house drama type vibe, which is usually my favorite type of movie.
Half a year left! Looking forward to your review of the movie. We watched Home Alone this afternoon and have Elf on right now.

Greetings all
Bad news here. My good friend has died. This is the one who was in the hospital for 7 weeks last spring. It was a sudden cardiac event at home. Her husband was there. Sad all around. This friend has always been the centerpiece of our holidays and was preparing for Christmas at her home. Tentative plans are to go ahead as an honor to her but boy does this feel gloomy. Christmas has always been kind of a tough holiday for me because my nephew was born on Christmas so it was always about his birthday until he killed himself at the age of 17. So having this new holiday tradition out here has been a blessing. Until now. So it goes.
Meanwhile I am still drinking coffee; having spent much time on the phone with bank tech support to get into their new bill pay system. What a mess.
Everyone enjoy your Christmas prep. I had not planned on baking but am thinking about it. Seems like I should do something festive.
Studio buddy is to come over tomorrow as it is a big football day. Might make chili.
Not much else. I am investigating squats. Gotta be something I can do standing up as I can't get up off the floor easily. Oy vey.

Diane I am so sorry and sad. How difficult to lose such a close friend. My heart aches for you
