119 - though I felt like I ate a lot yesterday. Eating how I feel seems to be working these days. The wonders of GLP-1 medications!
8 days to Christmas and 1 day until we fly north.
It is so disturbing that not only do mass shootings occur with more frequency but that the public seems to be getting immune to the horror. In the news for one or two days, then gone. Remember the first school shootings and how shocked we all were? Seems like protecting people's rights to have guns is more important than protecting our children. Did our forefathers mean that anyone should be able to have an automatic weapon? I somehow don't think that was the intent (nor could they have foreseen this). Here in Florida it is noticeable that most schools have high iron gates around them and metal detectors at the doors. So guns are easy to get here but they think that is a deterrent to them being used in such destructive ways? Off my soap opera but I get very upset every time I read about these occurrences.
Yesterday we got some pre-trip cleanup done. Today we are both signing papers at our lawyer's offices and need to pick up the rental car to go to the airport tomorrow (we fly out of Orlando not nearby this time). We are hosting a ****tail party in late afternoon with our neighbors just below us and the couple we are friendly with who used to live in our condo. We have been trying to get together so this seemed like a good time before the holidays.
Time to get out with the dog so I can get back by 9 to get cleaned up. Have a tuneful Tuesday!

142.6, another loss!
Another grey Wisconsin winter day. DH is sleeping before he needs to start working 12 hour nights again starting tonight. I sure hope the can get to a straight day shift soon. It was supposed to start in January but is now slotted for February. At least 2 weeks of January will be spent in Maui.
Nothing on the docket for today. I think we will even have leftovers for dinner. DH ran around with errands this morning. He went to pay the property taxes in person and commented on how all the grey hairs were out! Lol, he is mostly all grey himself!
It looks like someone cut the electrical cord to one of our new lighted outside Christmas trees. DH repaired it, but what is wrong with people?
Maui! Now that is something to really look forward to!

Brunch with my friends this morning, then a run around the kitchen shop next door. I bought a few more felt ornaments because they were so cute. Then I stopped at Walgreens for stocking candy.
Everything is wrapped and ready! I haven't been done this early in YEARS. Feels good! Now I just need to clean my house.
I haven't weighed in several days. Probably should!
The Wolf oven repair guy has ordered parts. I choked a little with the 4 figure repair price tag, but in his wise words, it's a heck of a lot cheaper than buying a new one.
Not much else to report... Hope everyone is well!

Well, I have no job, so there wasn't much of an excuse except wrapping felt daunting! But once I started it went fast.
I found some really cool bows too. You just pull the string and it makes a great bow. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KFXMVXH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b _search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
So easy!
Expensive appliances and expensive cars unfortunately are also expensive to repair.

Greetings all
It's cold here but not raining. Works for me. I went to Scrabble and was beaten all three games. I am losing my touch. Oh well. then I got my weekly cheeseburger and stopped at the studio to finish some glazing. This stuff should fire Friday and then that is all the stuff I will finish for this year. I did not feel like going to the gym but I did so and did not die. A guy next to me was walking fast and it made me want to try and speed up so I don't feel like a turtle.
Yikes now I am scared now because you guys are all way ahead of me on Christmas planning. Today's mission was to make sure I have extra cash so I can make a gift to the cleaner who comes tomorrow. Christmas eve and new years eve are both on Tuesdays this year which is also Scrabble day but we are playing anyway. Yay. I must practice.
Paula what scrooge would cut your tree lights. What a jerk. Glad it could be fixed. We are all dreaming of your Maui trip.
CC I hear those Wolf stoves are the best. But yikes on the repair bill. Hope thats the end of your home repairs for awhile. What gift does Kirby get?
We have been watching the new season of Outlander. I am not all that into it but DH loves it.
Ann you are almost there with the moving project! We will imagine you and DF in your new home at the holidays.
Liz the school shootings are so distressing indeed. Still bugs me that the things that could be done are just not happening.
Not much else. Chicken tonight. Diane S
Thanks for mentioning the gift for your cleaner! I have to find a Christmas card so I can do the same for my hairdresser tomorrow.
