Weight 118.6 - twice weekly injection on-board a day late. I think I will go back to my former schedule instead of pushing back by a day. The timing works better.
I was at my home by 9:30 am yesterday. A totally smooth and uneventful trip home. It feels good to be here. We took a long Justice walk then I had a long shower. I ended up with a 1/2 hour nap as I couldn't keep my eyes open, but then we played golf with friends that we are in a tournament with tomorrow. We did 8 holes until it got too dark. The cart barn was closed up when we returned the cart at 5:30 or so.
Something is still wrong with Justice. I thought it was post-vaccination reaction for the first couple of days but it has been 4 days now. He seems to be avoiding jumping and shakes a lot when picked up. However he is eating and pooping well and had full energy on the long walk yesterday. Right now he is snoring away on my lap totally relaxed. Very odd - I don't like to see him being off. I wish he could tell me what's wrong.
Today I have water aerobics, then DH and I are having our Christmas together tonight. I have to wrap his gifts but hopefully I have enough Christmas gift bags to do it. I love those things.
I forgot that my second chair is supposed to be delivered this morning. We just need to transport the huge leather club chairs to the Habitat Restore, then I am done tweaking major furniture (for now).
Time to get somewhat motivated. Have a satisfying Saturday!

143.4, impressive drop for me! I skipped the 144's altogether! Hopefully it will stick!
DH working all day again. I think I will clean a bit and maybe go out in the cold to do some boot shopping. I have a few outfits that I fit in again that go well with over the knee boots and my boots were thrown out a few years ago as they were too well worn! I wasn't wearing fun little sweater dresses with knit tights then so I didn't replace them! Time to do so!
I'm sure DC will come over for dinner after work. And then will hang out the next two days on their day off. We did have the crab legs last night. They were only okay. Got them at Costco for a really good price (15.99/lb.) but they were not Alaskan crab legs and I could tell (not as meaty and sweet, plus I think they had been over cooked a bit in the pre cooking process, I simply warmed them up, with butter of course!)
Peps, nice extra room on that seat belt! Thankfully, I never did need to ask for an extender but it was close. We will be dining with some friends of DH's between Christmas and New Years. The wife had been super morbidly obese but has been on a weight loss journey and has lost a good chunk of weight. For the first time ever she was able to attend her granddaughter's Christmas concert because she could finally fit in the theater type of seat! Now that is a great NSV! I know she is seeing a nutritionist and think she might be on a GLP1 as well. I've never met either one yet but the husbands get together for a breakfast or lunch out once a month. I hope I can be an encouragement for her.
Congratulations on your body giving you a good drop. Sweater dresses are so fun and cozy but one definitely needs the right body to pull them off.

Ooooopsie...(not because of the scale number, but more to the point being the nonchalant and mindless nature of acquiring said gained #- nothing healthy about it in terms of both attitude or slider carbs and sugars involved. Seem to be back in a pattern of "indulgence with intention of getting back on track tomorrow". My waning sense of self integrity is a bit scary (been there-done that- know where it can take me- and it isn't a pretty place, folks). Motto for the day: I am not a needy child- some is enough and definitely, Self love, respect and care first and foremost.
'Nuff said! Off to participate in celebration with gratitude all the wonderful experiences I can enjoy (thanks, Devon, for the positive and powerful NSV picture)!
Hope abounds and in Peace and joy of the season and day...
goal!!! August 20, 2013 age: 59 High weight: 345 (June, 2011) Consult weight: 293 (June, 2012) Pre-Op: 253 (Nov., 2012) Surgery weight: 235 (Dec. 12, 2012) Current weight: 145
TOTAL POUNDS LOST- 200 (110 pounds lost before surgery, 90 pounds lost Post Op.diabetes in remission-blood pressure normal-cholesterol and triglyceride levels normal! BMI from 55.6 supermorbidly obese to 23.6 normal!!!!
I do agree that self love, respect and care are needed to gather ourselves together and get back on track. I too am afraid of any instances when I eat a lot of carby or sweet things that I could slide down that slippery eating slope. The stuff in our heads is hard to control sometimes.

No weight as I'm in the hotel this morning. Second leg of the trip was delayed. Didn't get into Baltimore until close to midnight. Got into the hotel about 12:45. Was still awake at 2:30 east coast time. UGH.... Woke up at 8 am and thought to hell with this and dozed until just before 10.
Yesterday's food intake was sad... 2 Quest bars, a turkey and cheese wrap, a 60 calorie pretzel bag, and airport cookie bag (300 calories). I am unimpressed with myself. Only cool thing is that with tirzepatide on board I wasn't starving, but that is not enough food! That's about half the calories of what I should be eating in a day (though I could skip the cookie bag....wink, wink)
Celebration of life is at 2:30. I'll go early with my cousin and help set things up. I pulled out my family ring to wear for the occasion. I stopped wearing it when I got too heavy. Fits nicely on my pinky, but I prefer it on my right ring finger (though I've been told it's okay to wear a pinky ring). Anyway, still too snug for ring finger. May always be because I do not plan to lose another 50 pounds which is the weight I was when I had the ring sized. The ring is unusual. It's the family crest. I was always told the stone in the ring is lapis lazuli, but i'm not sure it is. I'll post on TT.
Going to dinner with the cousins and their extended clans tonight. Should be fun! Will be interesting to see if the Alabama side of the family can handle my uncle's favorite Indian restaurant. Apparently some of them live very sheltered Alabaman lives.
Oh, it's cold here! 33 degrees, with a high of 37 predicted. Yeah, that's cold for the California boy!
Very cold to me! Enjoy your family time and hopefully some good Indian food!

27 degrees here, so 26 degrees warmer than yesterday, but somehow still cold. Icy sleet falling, so I am glad we got out this morning for our coffee and great conversation. We stopped at the grocery store on the way home, because I really want to make some cookies this weekend. With the semiglutides on board, we should be able to enjoy them without over indulgence.
In that regard, Wegovy is working so well for me. My current eating is a mix of being cognizant of the need for nutritious fuel along with a few, shall we say, nutritionally frivolous foods. My weight stays in a 3 pound range. I've weighed myself on different scales (we have 3 digital scales in our house!) just to make sure I'm not kidding myself. Could I be thinner? Oh yes. Am I loving this spot right now where I can maintain one weight and still have a few cookies? OH YES!
Well, before the cookie baking begins, I do need to wrangle up something a bit more on the protein side. I think I'll make broccoli cheese soup. Using Fair life milk gives it a pretty good protein to calorie ratio. I look to see that a food is at least 10 grams of protein or more per 100 calories. This soup recipe gets close.
I love that you can maintain without feeling deprived.
AND I love your Saturday morning routine! Much like our Sunday morning, but I think you stay longer (and talk more). Ours is really early so the brain hasn't fully come to life LOL.
