You are really slimming down now. Good for you wearing the wine suit!

Greetings all
Early check in for me on this gloomy rainy day. Thats just how winter is here We await our voyage to the new dentist Both DH and I have appointments. DH has a chipped tooth that needs help. I don't think I need anything other than to find a new dentist that does not give me the creeps. We shall see. I don't mind spending the money for an extra set of X-rays and exam. So I will be sitting in this waiting room for awhile as DH goes in first. There is a fabric shop next door if I get bored even though I don't sew anymore.
Liz I feel your pain. Nothing worse than scary driving in a rental car in the dark and rain. Hope the rest of the trip is better. Justice is missing you.
Paula yikes midwestern winter! Glad you had some good warm soup and a pleasant event. Crab legs reminds me that sport crab season has just started here and commercial will be soon. Enjoy yours.
CC stinky dog! Guess that is what happens at dog camp. Yay for a no event day.
Who has ideas for the best hand lotion? My hands are really dry this year and a lot of skin peeled with that surgery. I have a magnesium lotion that is supposed to be good for this condition but it has an icky texture. Need something new. And since we are driving 30 minutes to the big city I feel compelled to go to Costco or Target or somewhere to shop. Our small town stores are pitifully poorly stocked. Maybe hit the big city CVS and get take out Thai food. Boy do we know how to live it up.
DH was at his technically challenged friend's house this morning to try to bolt down their big tv to prevent earthquake tip over. Of course we just had a pretty big one and it did not tip. Wrong bolts so it did not happen. Another mission for DH.
Cheers all Diane S
I love Aquaphor too but best used at night as it does stay a bit greasy on hands. I use it for my very dry feet and my hands.

Good gosh. I sat down to crank out a quick Treasurer's report that should have taken 20 minutes and 5+ hours later I am done! My email program for my role crashed, several phone calls for that, several phone calls from someone on the board who needed a mailing list, so I had to pull that from our donor list and clean it up then cross reference with an old list. Then call the bank because a CD had matured. yada yada yada.
Nothing is easy!

Some somber moments today. I hope Liz is safely back to the hotel and found solace with family today. Peps comfort as you say goodbye to your beloved aunt.
A lot of shared dental trauma. Is it our age? Was dental care more brutal in the day. I have a friend who was literally strapped down in the dentist chair as a kid. She cannot even talk about teeth related things. Our family dentist is the best, kind, careful, skilled. My children think about dental care differently than I do, thanks to him.
Cold, cold here. -4 this morning. We store our precious diet coke in the garage. We have it wrapped in blankets so it won't explode.
Interesting about your children. I just realized that my kids are also not afraid of the dentist unlike me and my brother.
