Greetings all
Checking in before I go out and about today. I plan to stop at the gym and studio before our piano thing tonight. So looking forward to getting DH out of the house. It's sunny but chilly today and thats ok. It is november. Our football team has no game today so we won't add a loss to DH list of grievances about the universe.
Well Bonnie, good luck with going under the house to look for ducts. Gotta admit I would hire that one as well. Many years ago we had the ductwork in our attic looked at and figured out it was not connected to anything and we were just heating the attic and not much else. Fixed that. Much better. Hate the idea of crawling in to such a space. More power to you.
Ann the remodel sounds great. Cost sounds great for a whole kitchen. Best part is DF is figuring it all out. All you have to do is wind up your old house! Piece of cake! Enjoy the process. Peanut butter and whiskey.
Yep Liz, pontoon boat sounds about right. Speed on a boat is not appealing. Glad it was fun.
Not much else. This is a really slow time of year for me. Christmas stuff is starting to show up. We are invited to friends for Thanksgiving so I will be spared the ordeal of cooking though I feel I must help my friend more than usual as this is the one who was so sick last summer.
Can't remember if I mentioned that one of my high school friends has died. Part of our 12 girl clique. This is the first one of our immediate group to pass. Guess we are getting to that time of life. RIP Jeanette.

Sorry for the loss of your friend. That's always a shock when contemporaries start to perish. Still seems so weird that DH died at only 67 (I will be 70 in March).

I'm sorry too, Diane.
My close friends haven't started dying yet, although some long-time business clients and colleagues have passed--people who were true leaders in my business world, whose deaths were a shock. And during COVID I lost a sister whose health had been declining for years. I probably haven't completely processed that yet. I hope my sisters and I can work on that when we're together in a few weeks for another sister's surprise birthday party.

Friends are here. The husband took Kirby for a run this morning! And per Kirby's MO, he came back more excited than he left. Exercising just lights his motor. Also true to form, he loves them and wants to crawl inside their skin as there is no such thing as close enough.
Then we went for breakfast and walked around shops. I really think the uptown shopping is horrible. T-shirt and crystal shops and bd restaurants. But we did walk around Tlaquepaque shopping center which is beautiful.
Tomorrow we are riding the Verde Valley Railroad, a 4 hour ride on a historic train through a canyon with historians and a bar... should be beautiful with the changing foliage.
I think that's all for now. I totally need a nap!
Take care!
Funny you should say that about the shopping. Seemed like that to us when we visited. The train sounds like fun - will love to hear how it goes. I think we will be back there next October as we have a family wedding in Scottsdale in mid-October.

Wow, what a fun day that sounds like. I hope your husband starts to feel better--that sounds like would help.
Last night at dinner folks talked about how they were processing the election outcome, and "being in nature" was the common theme.
