Weight 118.6. Justice is 11.2 - he is about a pound overweight. I was able to grab him to weigh this morning. I knew he was up because he has a bit extra around the neck. I measure his food so the excess is entirely due to DH sharing. I finally got DH to stop giving him nuts because they wreaked havoc on Justice's tiny intestinal system, but DH says he just can't deny those soulful eyes. Justice knows how to put the act on with DH - he never begs with me.

Today may be a bit rainy but we have inside stuff to do. The plumber is coming to fix the two leaking toilets and the kitchen faucet this morning. I am putting a second coat of paint in the too dark end table which has now had its first coat of off-white. I'm having a hard time maneuvering to paint in the spare bedroom so I may need to move my project elsewhere.

Tonight we are out to dinner and then to the first of our subscription shows at the local theatre. It is a comedy which several people said is quite madcap and a bit over the top at times but quite funny.

Have a totally political ad-free Tuesday (I am so glad I don't have to watch them anymore)!

Yes, no ads! I'm watching a local news stories. They are not hyping up anything political, but talking about voting laws in Minnesota. The Secretary of State said we will get big turnout, with little drama. He added Minnesotans love to vote. It's true, we typically have one of the highest voter turnout in the country.

Getting dressed to go be one of those Minnesotans. One of my parting gifts for my school is making sure I vote wisely for school board.

I just read that Florida turnout in 2020 was 71% and by this morning 58% had already completed either vote by mail or early voting. So just another 13% need to vote today to match the turnout in 2020!

152.3. Staying down! Fingers crossed!

Voted this morning. A little bit of a line but not bad at all. I was happy not to have to stand out in the rain! We are avoiding tv today. DH and I have differing political views and he doesn?t vote. Might turn it on a bit tonight to see where things are going but I saw today not to be surprised if we don?t have an answer for a few days!

Cool, rainy, gloomy day. Going to continue to take pics of scrapbook crap for sale and hopefully upload to Facebook marketplace soon!

Sushi diner was good last night. Tonight will be tortilla encrusted tilapia. Found in the frozen seafood section at Costco. We like it!

I?m right between a 6 and an 8 depending on clothes brand right now. I think I would be a solid 6 or maybe even a 4 if I worked out! Gotta get on that! I was so diligent about that after VSG!

Liz, what is it with DH?s feeding the dogs snacks? Mine gives bites under the table (which I never have done) and also gives them a cheese snack daily ?to make their coat shine?. Bella is overweight too and does not need the extra! Emma is skinny and could use it though! Funny that it is Bella that wants several walks (short ones) a day!

130.8

I'm also riding that political add-free train with blinders and earplugs on for good measure. Absolutely feeling a bit gutted about the brokenness of it all and worried for the future.

That in mind, we're back from casting our ballots and in for the evening. Also spent some surprise time at the dentist, dreading the projected cost to replace a broken bridge and finding out that said bridge is still under warranty and so will not be shelling out 5,000+ for unexpected and undesired replacement.

I, being my mother's daughter, call this good fortune and the same as "found money "- not having to be paid to dentist, that can now go towards something fun and wonderful for the house. Kurtbear says my logic is 100% flawed and in fact, sucks the big wazoo. Surely not.

I think Kurt needs to accept the feminine wisdom passed down from generation to generation. It's powerful stuff!

I like your thinking on the good fortune you have "received"!

Hurrah on the $5,000 found money windfall. I'm totally with you on how to regard it. :)

Greetings all

Happy election day! Happy that it will be over soon even though I am a news junky. It is getting a bit old.

Gallery duty yesterday was really slow so I did some walking in circles. It will be slow there until Christmas as the tourists are not so thick. Still, today is a nice sunny day. I ran some errands and went to the studio and did some glazing. Still not ready to stick my hands into clay.

Wow on the butternut squash prep. Sound great. I love the stuff. It also makes a great soup if pureed with chicken broth, some onion, and a blob of greek yogurt. I have been craving vegetables lately and roasted some cauliflower and broccoli the other night. Stinks up the house but it's good.

Yep, my DH over feeds the dogs too. Pizza crust, bread bites and all kinds of stuff. Then he wonders why the dogs don't eat their kibble. Well duh. Both our dogs have been pronounced pudgy. Not good.

Gallery board meeting tonight. I don't usually attend but we have this lease issue. At least it's not late.

We have been watching Disclosure. So intense but good. Not sure what we will view tonight besides you-know-what.

So the house across the street is being painted an interesting shade of blue. I kind of like it. Hate the neighborhoods were everything is beige and taupe. This is the house that is in a constant state of home improvement. Who knows what is left to do?

Hamburgers tonight. DH thinks its a feast!
