Weight 119. Great home-cooked dinner last night. I marinated pork tenderloin cut into pieces and grilled it on skewers with onions and peppers (vegetables partially pre-cooked in microwave). Sometimes it is nice to eat at home! Lemon pepper chicken and salad may be on the menu today.
Water aerobics yesterday was excellent - it felt good to be moving and she does a great job with using every part of the body. I did realize as I have for a while how much restriction there is on my arm behind my back due to the mechanics of a reverse replacement. The other shoulder doesn't allow a lot either so not a big deal.
Don't you sometimes hate how To Do lists never end? We finally got the garage door up to snuff but we need to replace the lock in the back door of the garage, have a plumber fix a few minor but irritating issues and have an electrician move a ceiling light. Nothing overwhelming but always something. At least I am done with that for another house though DH who just did a lot of large projects in his Cape Cod home has to replace the deck now and he wants to put in a fence. The estimates he has gotten are ridiculously high because his house is so far out on Cape Cod (near Provincetown). Not a lot of workers out that far.
Not much on the agenda today other than a long Justice walk between showers and DH has an appointment with an orthopedist for a slipped disk in his back causing periodic sciatica. I guarantee they are going to send him to PT for appropriate exercises.
Have a thrilling/chilling Tuesday (maybe Peps came come up with a better word for Halloween week)!

154.1, up a smidge. I resisted the pumpkin patch treats yesterday but had a slice of the apple pie guilt free for breakfast. I?ve hardly eaten anything like that at all since June so I was due!
Domestic day of laundry, dishes, etc. Weather is very nice outside so we will be grilling hamburgers for dinner. I think I will also try out the air fryer on my new oven and make crinkle cut potato slices.
DSD and fiancé will be here until Saturday I think. Too bad DH is working all week!
Hmmmmmm, Halloween alliterations for Tuesday: traumatizing, terrible, terrifying, tantalizing, torturous, tragic. Take your pick for Thursday! Boo!
Good Halloween words!
Funny you should say that about sweet stuff. We went through the freezer the other day and there were several lower calorie sweet things that I always have kept around for when I have cravings. But since I have been on GLP-1 medication I have not craved sweets at all. I threw them out.

Greetings all
Another great fall day. Parents out with toddlers looking at leaves.
DH now has the cold. He got some cough syrup and stuff. I finally got ahold of doctor office but I don't know if they will prescribe codeine if I don't go in for a visit. I would do that but it's aways away and they are always slammed. Oh well.
So I actually don't feel too horrible and decided to make my grocery run for Halloween. Most of what we will eat is from the deli that I will pick up day of but this is for pickles and olives and bread and such.
Still trying to shovel out the house. Lots to be moved around and I at least cleared a few surfaces.
Yep, home cooking is all good. I made the chili last night and now we will have it for a couple of days. Need to make some fridge room for the white wine and other stuff.
Home maintenance never ends, does it? The house across the street is getting new siding. There is constant home improvement going on over there which is why I call it the Winchester Mystery House.
Having a cold is one way to diet. I did not finish my eggs today so Poppy scored.
DH is very intrigued by this weird show Kaos. I am not into it that much but we shall see. I think I figured out its message and now it's just ho hum.
Not much going on. Cheers

At our age, it seems like most roads lead to PT. I like it in a weird way. Most Therapists are very positive, encouraging people, and I like being given assignments and earning a grade of A. The good girl behavior is hard to extinguish in some settings. In this case , it's beneficial.
Speaking of good girl behavior, THERE'S HALLOWEEN CANDY IN THE HOUSE!! I did partake, but it could have been much worse. I bought some for school: for a club I advise tomorrow, and to give to my classes on Thursday. DH also bought for trick or treaters AND for me to bring to school. (I didn't know he was buying it) That's a lot of candy folks. Thoughts and prayers appreciated.
The visit with my parents was good. My Dad is still quite weak. It was a bad fall, and his back still hurts. His GI problems seem to have settled down, so now maybe when he doesn't have diarrhea for days on end, he can regain some strength. He looks and moves much differently than he did about 3 weeks ago. My brother is right, they cannot make it alone right now. I think he's waiting to see if my Dad is going to get stronger. Clearly, if they can't live alone something more permanent needs to happen. Maybe they can stay in their home longer if they agree to some home health care. They are very against that, as they don't like "strangers" in the house. It's unfair, and again, I'm not setting myself on fire. My brother will have to decide how far he is willing to do this. He has never been someone you can make do anything, I have always been more dutiful, so I have to believe he is okay with this role for now.
Friday is the end of quarter 1. 3 more quarters to go!
