Weight 119.8.
So many interesting parts of the country to explore: Galveston has always sounded intriguing but who knew about Northwest Arkansas? I'm not sure we will ever make it there but we have friends who are on a quest to visit every state in the US who might be interested. I feel like that is one of their few remaining states.
Yesterday was a quiet day as DS went to visit his friends in Port St Lucie. He was back by dinner though because their dog chewed his glasses and he was nervous about driving after dark potentially without them if the glue holding them together didn't hold. He will be making a visit to one of the eyeglass places around here today.
Today I need to run errands, then we are out to dinner at a seafood place DS likes a lot. Don't think I can do water aerobics today as the timing is too tight between DH's dentist appointment and golf game. Probably will just do a walk around the marina area with Justice.
Have a molten Monday!

For anyone who's interested, here are several more Arkansas destinations/sights:
Hot Springs -- home of (surprise!) hot springs, bathhouses, and spas, as well as Oaklawn Park, where horse racing happens, which is a big damn deal down there. FYI, Hot Springs is one of the few historic sin cities amidst the South's Bible Belt, where more than a century ago folks could drink, gamble, and engage in sins of the flesh.
Little Rock -- home of the Clinton Presidential Library. It's also home to Little Rock Central High School, site of the famous/infamous 1957 integration of the city's public schools where Governor Faubus sent the Arkansas National Guard to stop the nine African-American students from attending the school and President Eisenhower countered by federalizing those troops to protect and empower the students' efforts. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Rock_Nine
Arkansas Ozarks -- Arkansas and Missouri are both home to the Ozarks, which has gorgeous spring-fed rivers and ridge-top drives with breathtaking views.
This concludes today's "See America" programming.

DH's father is from Neosho, or more specifically, Goodman, MO. When visiting his "kin" we have ventured a bit into Arkansas, as far as Eureka Springs. We'll have to go further next time! I'm also very intrigued by the Missouri Wine Trails I keep reading about in tourist literature. Is that something you are familiar with? Any recommendations?
I've done a little wine tasting here in Missouri. But having lived for 20 years in California where truly great wines are made, I really can't recommend the strange varietals grown around here. Missouri ain't got no Caymus.

154.8. What? Almost a pound up from a few days ago! I didn't like the number so I reset the scale with a little toe tap and then it said 155 which I liked even less! I know in my head this happens and it doesn't mean **** but still frustrates me. Maybe I should have given that the scale the finger like Peps!
DC1 hanging out on their day off. Grilled teriyaki pineapple chicken for dinner. Unusually warm October day so DH requested something grilled as the season will be ending soon enough!
Stephen's Ministry leader's meeting tonight. I think I will deliver the bad news that we are leaving the church for another. I really want to stay with this ministry but also really want to go to a different church too. Wish both were possible. I'll ask for sure but am pretty sure the answer will be no as others that have left could no longer continue to serve as Steven's Ministers through the church even though many different types of churches offer the ministry (not the new church we want to go to).
Starting to think about Christmas gift shopping! Already bought 2 gifts but have a lot more to get. I try to get personal, meaningful gifts and if they involve an experience to be had (concert, travel, special restaurant - even better!). I think DS3 will be the hardest to buy for this year!
Impressed that you can think about Christmas shopping already.
I think sometimes our bodies try really hard to hold onto excess weight and that's why it sometimes goes up just before a drop. I bet that is what is happening for you. The scales feel evil sometimes though to those of us who have fought with them so much.

Paula, I'm sorry you'll lose access to Stephen's Ministry service you've enjoyed so much. BTW, I have no idea how one tells their fellow church members you're leaving for a different church that you prefer. That could be an awkward/tough conversation to have. But I admire you for not just ghosting them. Sounds like your current church might be losing more than a few members lately.

Yes, a large number of people have left the church in the last year! While we are not leaving for the reason most left (pastor had problems with alcohol dependence which contributed to his soon to be divorce) the collateral effects have negatively affected us (our community of people is no longer there and there have been many staff changes).
Back from a full weekend of dog shows! Buster and I kicked some doggy azz! He went Owner Handled Best in Show both days!!! An amazing feat for any dog. On Saturday over 1200 dogs were entered. On Sunday over 1100. Buster is beginning to hit is stride. He and I are going to have a lot of fun in the future. He seems to really enjoy showing and LOVES the show environment.
I woke up late and did not weigh myself today. I think I weighed Saturday. But whatever day i last weighed I was down again. Up down, up down... LOL
I feel very much back on track with food today. Breakfast was a Quest Bar. Lunch is grilled chicken breast and an apple. I'll have some kind of protein snack before workout tonight and then a decent dinner.
Paula, focus on body composition. I have not lost much weight over the past 2 months, but my body continues to get smaller. The pants I had altered at the beginning of the month for the nationals in Pennsylvania are already just a bit too loose in the waist. When belted they are bunching up. Remember, the scale is not the only measurement of success. Clothes and movement and flexibility are all great indicators of weight loss and body composition changes.
Looks like Molly will be bred mid week, which will be perfect timing all around for all concerned - works for me, stud owners are leaving Wednesday afternoon, so all collection and shipping will be done, and the vet won't leave on vacation until next week. Fingers crossed now semen arrives in good shape and the insemination goes well.
Not much else. Merry Monday!
