Weight 119.4.
Long drive yesterday to pick up DS in Orlando. We stopped in Cocoa Beach for lunch and had to sit in a sheltered spot to eat outside as the wind has been really strong this week. It makes it comfortable for walking but difficult for outdoor eating.
Today we are taking DS to Fort Pierce to visit a cider brewery. We found it last year. He really likes dry ciders rather than flavored ones and they have all kinds here. Plus the brewer is a woman which is very unusual in that industry. In fact it is hard for women to work in that industry at all because the men tend to be very chauvinistic (do people use that word any more?). Anyway I applaud her for becoming her own boss! Dinner is at the Kilted Mermaid. Unusual menu, neat ambiance, and good music.
But first a Justice walk. Have a slithering Saturday!

Not much to report! A chilly but sunny day here today. I had the fireplace on last night as we dipped into the low 40s.
Kirby is laying on me totally in the way and crushing me. Trying to remind myself I wanted a more affectionate dog. Ha!
Not sure what I'm doing today. Certainly a lot on the list to do!
Take care all!
Greetings all
It's a sunny crisp day and we are loving it. We did not love that our team lost badly but oh well. DH is now dozing away to Ancient Aliens. I have cabin fever and ventured out to the grocery. Gloved my right hand and it was ok. Store was a combat zone as they are having a 25% off sale on everything! Good deal for this otherwise pricey place. I snagged a pot pie. Also got a half gallon of skim milk to make myself drink for protein. No Fairlife at this store.
I continue to be thrilled with my hands with much improved fingers. Ring finger is still tingly and sore but ok. Got the hair washed without too much mess. I bought a bunch of special band aids at the drug store the other day. Turns out some of the are made for people of color. We call them the DEI band aids.
Liz you are really on the move! Good cider is wonderful. Enjoy. Kilted Mermaid!!!
And enjoy the cool CC. Bet you are in for a grand winter there. Any balloons? Kirby is one big blanket.
Got a call from one of my former law partners yesterday. She and DH are planning a trip out here to drive the coast. In november. I had to break it to them that it may well be raining. Anyone been to Muir Woods lately? I told my friends that it will likely be tourist packed and to have their redwood experience further north at Avenue of the Giants. Should be fun.
I am planning on returning to the gym tomorrow. it's been a week since i walked and I need it.
Not much else. Cheers.

154.1. Tried on my wedding dress (navy blue) that I was planning on wearing for DSD's wedding. Almost got it zipped! Might be too big once I hit goal! It would be a shame to have to get a NEW dress!
Trying to organize my scrapbooking crap to sell and found a box with mostly completed pages from my childhood. Need to put a few titles on and do journaling for just a few and then that will be done. Forgot I had ever started that project! It was fun looking back at Prom pics, old boyfriends, best friend's weddings and childhood/young adult vacations. One was from New York with the Twin Towers, kind of eerie now!
Vale came over today and gave me 2 dozen roses for Sweetest Day! Warmed my heart!
DSD and her fiancé will come to town this Wednesday (from Colorado where fiancé is just finishing up a med school rotation) and they will stay until November 2, they will be back again for Thanksgiving. More driving than I would like!
Have fun with DS Liz! The cider place looks like fun! I love doing flights and trying new things!
CC, I love my dog blankets but they are only 10 and 12 lbs.
Diane, I am thrilled your hand surgery was such a success and the healing seems to be going well! If you can get on a treadmill this soon after surgery, I have no valid excuse to not get my exercise in!
