Weight 118.8. Yesterday's low must have been an anomaly - maybe I was dehydrated.
I found tables for the lanai yesterday so the room is essentially done (before and after pictures below). Last night we went to a dinner dance at the beach club. We were afraid it would be too windy but they have installed some great screens to block the wind so it was no problem. Good company and great music. It's nice to be back!
Today we pick up our first visitor for the season. DS finished working the convention in Orlando yesterday so we are picking him up at 10:30. We will stop at our favorite restaurant on the water in Cocoa Beach on the way back.
Have a fine Friday!

Looks great, Liz!
I am beside myself with joy as after a month in the mid 90s, it is 49 and raining this morning. I love it! So much so I got up early just to enjoy it and stood outside in slippers and sweats inhaling the petrichor smell. There is absolutely no better smell in the desert than rain.
The Sedona Plein Air Festival starts today with a week of painting events. I'm going to two. I'm excited to see the painters in the outdoors and the artists all bring art and there is a big sale at the end. And there is no sales tax given it's through the Sedona Arts Center, which is a big deal when your sales tax is 10.4%.
Just the HOA budget meeting on tap for today. Take care all...
Petrichor--a new word for me. Thanks, CC. :)

154.8. Boring day at home alone. Trying to do better at getting my protein in. Will down a Fairlife pretty soon!
We are in the mid 60's and it is supposed to get warmer the next few days! That's good since we need to do the Fall trimming of the landscaping and get the debris curbside (free pickup for a few weeks, saves a trip or two to the dump)
Some medical drama with DH's first wife's sister (*****ally is like a second Mom to DSD). She is in respiratory failure after having Pulmonary Emboli in both lungs and a subsequent collapsed lung. She had gone off her blood thinners to have a biopsy for a mass in one of her lungs (possible cancer) but then developed the PEs. The poor family can't see the forest through the trees as they are insisting that she still have the biopsy that she is not stable enough respiratory wise to have. They want her transferred to a level one hospital. They just don't seem to get that her respiratory failure is much more likely to kill her in the immediate future than the possible cancer. I know they are just really scared and not thinking clearly. We will go see her in the hospital as soon as DH gets home from work. DSD is just crazy with worry!
Some medical professionals especially those working as hospitalists are not very good at working with non-medical people and explaining the situation in understandable terms. I had that problem at various times with ill family members. Having the right person explain it can make all the difference in the world.

Happy Friyay!
I have been having fun teasing my team about not coming in on certain days. I have 5 weeks of accrued sick leave I feel like dipping in to over my last year. We were talking about a specific day's lessons next week, and I chimed in with, "Oh yeah, I'm taking that day off!" Oh, the looks! LOL! Just kidding say I! However, I can see several Monday afternoons getting a sub. I dislike my two classes on Monday afternoons - intensely! Behavior is atrocious and seemingly acceptable in their classrooms. UGH... I also don't like the traffic issues on Tuesday mornings. I can see taking a few Tuesdays off between now and May 30, 2025, too. I'm so, so bad! But I enjoy my wicked thoughts.
Weight still up. BOOOOOOO!!!! But dang, my workout yesterday was super intense. Felt great! I'm aware that with less body weight I am able to move my body more easily through space. One plus about being obese is that it builds great lower body strength. I am reaping the benefits of that now.
Dog shows this weekend. Fingers crossed. Buster still is not reliable in behavior, but I'm hoping the more we do it, the more he remembers and is able to focus.
Freaky Friday! HAHAHAHA!
Freaky Friday! I like that. You should definitely use some of that sick leave since I assume you can't get commensurate pay for it when you leave?
