Weight 117.8. Slipping down a bit too much - I need to eat a little more.
Hoping that Diane S' hands are not too uncomfortable.
Yesterday we did a lot of physical exercise because we had to take the old lanai furniture downstairs 2 flights without an elevator. They weren't super heavy but the sofa was extremely awkward because we had to keep turning it up on the end to go down the turns on the stairs. I'm glad that's done, but now we need to figure out how to get it donated. We might rent a truck (if they can't come within a week or so) to take it to Habitat for Humanity as they are coordinating free furniture for people whose furniture was destroyed by Hurricane Milton. The new furniture is beautiful! It looks great in the newly painted room and even brightens up the living room next to it. Next steps are getting a coffee table for the lanai, 2 chairs for the living room and a cabinet/bureau for the master bedroom. Then I am done for a while.
It is super windy around here. It felt cold during bocce because it was blowing so much. Good for morning walks but it may be chilly for the Beach Club dinner dance tonight. I will have to choose clothing for it carefully because I hate to be cold. Last night we ate outside with friends but had to wear jackets.
Today I finish cleaning the guest bathroom in preparation for DS' arrival tomorrow. I also want to go look at furniture. All after a Justice walk in the wind.
Have a thrifty Thursday!

Whoa! Up 1.5 pounds this morning. I gave the scale the finger! LOL! I really did! It's not undeserved. I'm still quite sore from the workout AND I ate too many sweets yesterday, which for me always leads to inflammation. So the scale only reflected a combination of cir****tances. But still, my diet brain and eating disorder brain immediately and irrationally to any and all upward ticks on the scale. Thank God for therapy! At least I can recognize it, step back and assess.
I opted not to take my shot yesterday. I'm perfectly capable of waiting 24 hours.
CC, I think it's wise to wait to up to 15 mg. I'm in the same boat. I believe you and I are at the point where the tirzepatide is doing all it can. Our hormone levels have adjusted and even with the med on board this has become our new normal. Makes sense to me that we will have to buckle down and really monitor behavior and food choice to get the last bit off. I still do not intend to diet or count calories, but I know I can certainly make different choices to ingest fewer calories. I LOVE calorie dense foods. I need to incorporate less calorically dense foods into my daily eating. I "KNOW" a large apple will satisfy me after lunch - both sweet and filling. However, kid brain, diet brain, eating disorder brain all say... "COOKIE!!!!" (or donut or ice cream, etc...)
We are definitely in a lovely cooling trend here. Mid to upper 70s today. Only low 80s tomorrow. I'll be so happy when it's in the 60s all day long. I would love to live in a land where summer was mid 80s during the day and low 60s during sleeping hours. That would be ideal for me! Winter temps 50s and 60s works well for me, too. I can handle 40s just fine, but 20s and 30s is a bit too chilly long term. A few days here and there, okay. But day in and day out. NOPE!
Oh, I digress...
Thriving Thursday!
greetings
Hand wraps off today and I can sort of type though excuse me if I don''t capitalize or punctuate well. I have about a dozen little holes in my hands and a couple of bigger cuts. But my thumbs are open more and three fingers on right hand are 70-90% straight. They were bent at a 90 degree angle so this is huge for me. I am so grateful as I did not have high hopes. Dr. is a wizard. If any of you know anyone with Dupuytren's disease tell them to contact me. I have about 6 bandaids instead of those boxing gloves. Now if I can just behave myself until healed which I will.
Liz I am astonished you carried that stuff out without an elevator. Amazing. You are a decorator with a vengeance! My hat is off to you. I think I would have considered that stuff off the lanai. Hope you partied hearty at the the club!
CC hope the scorpion barrier works. Too bad you have to cut the sage but I bet it grows back. Yay for more plants.
Yay Peps two top rated dogs! And puppies! Best Christmas ever Hope your soreness has subsided.
Yesterday I was mainly dependent on DH for food. Odd feeling since I am what passes for a cook here. We had turkey roll ups from the deli. Pot pie tonight and I will have to direct the oven insertion process. We are busy marking out mail in ballots. It's a sunny day and I am getting cabin fever and may have to come up with a ruse of some sort to get DH to take me to a drugstore or something.
A sad thing happened. One of our gallery members was killed in a car accident in Oregon. His wife and daughter were injured, Collided with a turned over trailer. Drive safe all and be careful.
Not much else. I can't tell you how thrilled I am to have this hand improvement. My right hand was pretty much a claw. Now I can do the Vulcan greeting and can flip the bird!

It does sound like your doctor is definitely a wizard! So glad you are feeling the effects already.
Very sad about your gallery partner.

Quick post: we were delayed by about 2 hours yesterday, but made it to Houston and the hotel in time for dinner, nightcap and good sleep.
After breakfast we did a dolphin cruise, and they were just popping up everywhere in the harbor. So many dolphins! We shipped on The Strand (very old picturesque buildings, similar to New Orleans)). In a bit we're having an early dinner, then we've booked a nighttime ghost tour of a graveyard.
Having a good time!
Keep enjoying yourselves!

The drive to Prescott was a bust! They had practically nothing by way of plants. Grr. I came home and ordered some from High Country Gardens. They'll be small, but I'll get what I want and they'll have the rest of Fall, Winter, and early Spring to get ready for blooming.
I walked Kirby, wrote sone checks and mailed them, dropped off my ballot at city hall, and worked on my HOA submission for replacing the trees that died this summer.
Impromptu board meeting tomorrow for the budget that won't be fun, because I am in charge of landscaping and want to increase what we do. Sigh.
I didn't weigh today. Didn't want to know! Take care all!
