I am in Pennsylvania. Nicely cool and autumnal! Absolutely joy inducing after the 100+ temps I left in California. Buster did well on the flight. Me, not so much... LOL... We had to go back to the gate to fix an instrument problem after getting out to the runway area. Of all things it was the blank tank (toilet waste storage) level indicator that was malfunctioning! Got it fixed and after an hour delay finally got in the air.
Once in flight I started having horrific gut cramps. Eventually, those cramps brought for the Aztec revenge. It was the gift that kept on giving, too. DAMMIT! Not a fun situation when one has a window seat and is on a red eye flight.
The airport changed the rental car location. The rental car place is roughly a 10 minute walk from the airport tram station. Pulling a close to 60 pound dog in a crate, two suitcases, a full backpack was no small feat after a redeye flight. UGH...Needless to say, I was completely done in by the time I got to the hotel at 9:30 to learn that my room was not going to be ready anytime in the foreseeable future. Finally got my room at 2:50 PM. Dog club board meeting started at 3 pm. This is why I exercise, right????
Down to 222 yesterday! I'll take it!
Okay, that was weird... OH just posted this without me even clicking on anything!!!! Strange!
Anyhow, that's all I got.
What a tough travel day! Sorry you had to go through all that!

Greetings all
Another sunny fall day. I did my walking at the gym and then went to the studio to do glazing. Lots of people there. I am still working on this nonsense with the checks and a small portion of the time is actually investigating the issue and most of it is keeping people calmed down and focused. I had forgotten how much of my former legal profession was baby sitting and hand holding.
CC you are full on into the baby sitting business with the HOA. Yikes, do these people think you are their staff? What a pain! The other day one of our gallery members sends out a message asking if someone will please take out the garbage!! What lady, are you a paraplegic?? Do it yourself.
Hey Liz, glad the icky dark furniture is gone and that you are making an impact on your new home. Tee Tee you made me cringe a bit when you mentioned that there are several extra sets of sheets in the closet. I have that too. Must get busy.
Yay Ann how fun for you to move to a new home. Yeah banks are weird. And I bet those restrictions about amount of money moved applies only to individuals and not corporations. At least your DF was eventually able to talk to a real person. Not an easy feat.
Paula your garden sounds great. So much good stuff. Tell me what stove you get. I need a new one and invection makes sense but I will miss the copper bottom pans. Enjoy planning the improvements.
Peps sorry you had such a bad flight. What an ordeal. Hope the rest of the shows and such are more fun.
I forgot my phone today and whew it was like losing an appendage. Must not do that.

I rolled my eyes at a fellow board member's email so hard today they almost got stuck. He's one of the do-nothing guys. An exec at some healthcare company, on the board for over a year, in his early 60s. I sent him a complaint I got about conduit at the front gate put in when we got new cameras not being painted (the complaining neighbor has residual anger for the hoops the architectural committee has put him through and wondered rightly how something that never would have been allowed on his house is allowed at the gate).
Instead of saying he was on it, it was "should I ask at the meeting Friday? Should I do it now or wait? Any thoughts?" Jiminy Christmas.
"Dude, do it now!"
Sheesh.

I do remember deceased DH having to deal with the babysitting/handholding for his clients too. Especially on Real Estate transactions (which he did a lot of). I try not to be a pain.
