Weight 119.2. One week to the wedding. I paid the BIG bill yesterday - lots of credit card points. The weather here was disgusting yesterday and the same is forecasted for today: super windy and rainy. We are hoping the weather gets it out of its system by next weekend. We are watching the forecasts closely and 2 sources say rain but weather.gov says sun. We really, really want a beach wedding though it can be held in the reception room if necessary but that would be so disappointing.
I made chili yesterday after craving it when Diane S mentioned it. Very appropriate food for the weather we are having. The only other thing we did yesterday was run errands including getting wardrobe boxes to move the clothes in my closets.
Today we are going to DH's house so he can clear stuff out of his old master bedroom set in preparation for the arrival of mine. We will take Justice and stay overnight so will have date night out there. Tomorrow I will probably start packing the clothing in my closets which I won't be wearing before the move.
Time to get cleaned up and motivated. Have a shiny Saturday!

Liz, I hope the weather gods are feeling generous next weekend so your DD can be married on the beach.
I also need to get motivated. Have a lot to do, including the final mopping
According to the weather apps, we'll have a little shower here midday, but by ****tail hour tonight it'll be lovely. Yay!
I'm glad y'all enjoyed my 30-day weight graph, as did I because it helped me see that my weight is more stable than I thought. These lifelong worries can write a very different story than the data shows. Science, even a mere month's worth of morning weigh-ins, is good!
Y'all kick it today!

The scale is taunting me this morning. 163.8 - up .7 when I was so hoping to hit the 30 lbs. lost number today!
DS3 is back to his apartment, DH is working, I'm sure DC1 will pop on over at some point today as they have the day off. Didn't work on the scrapbooks yesterday but plan to today. Sunny skies with a high of 83 projected for today.
Not motivated to cook but I have some frozen chicken enchilada meat in the freezer that I can thaw and throw together pretty quickly for dinner. Like CC, I prefer snack sized meals if left to myself. Yesterday's lunch was Quest loaded taco chips and cottage cheese. I really do like the Quest chips but dang, they are $8 for a 4 ounce bag! Thankfully, I only eat 1 oz. at a time!
Sending good weather vibes for the wedding Liz!
So $2/ounce ... geez Louise!

184.4 today! It's only supposed to be 75 and very sunny today. A thunderstorm came through in the middle of the night, which was fun to listen to.
Doing little chores that have piled up - wiping tile work residue off dark wood doors, daily vacuuming, laundry, etc. Kirby has pulled every toy out of his basket so it looks like a Petsmart tornado hit here.
My arthritic fingers are so sore and swollen today! Just slathered on the Costco voltaren cream, but the smell of theirs is very old lady powdery. Blech. I suppose it fits with the arthritis though...
Today I vow to put all the stuff I brought back with me away. I am terrible about unpacking and often leave my suitcases in the closet and use stuff out of them until they are empty, then stop seeing the empty suitcases on the floor. Bad me. When it would take 10 minutes to take care of it now.
Hope you all have a nice day!
Another gorgeous day here! Started out overcast and cool but is now sunny and 82 degrees. I wish I could pack it up and send it to Massachusetts next weekend.
Late start to the coffee shop means all the scones were gone. Apple crumble worked fine, and I have lots left for further treats.
I found a few books at St. Vinny's, including Tom Lake by Anne Pachette that I've been wanting to read.
DH and I understandably talk a lot about retirement these days and what life will be like at this time next year. He imagines I will be playing golf. We'll see :) We will change our coffee day to Monday, because that's the day St. Vinny's has senior discount. 20% off!!! The University of Minnesota has a program where seniors can audit any undergraduate classes for $10. I would really like to take Art History again. It's exciting to think about all the options available.

I listened to Tom Lake on audiobook. Meryl Streep narrated and of course was wonderful. While it was fun because it takes place near my house in MI (it's a take on Interlochen), I actually really dislike Our Town the play and am thoroughly annoyed by actor types! So while she writes beautifully and you can't beat Meryl, it wasn't my favorite. I'll be interested to hear what you think!
Please, please send that weather! It often does get to us in a few days.
Once you retire I bet you will end up wondering how you ever had time to work. Too much to do enjoying life.

Yes! What Liz said. And this coming from someone (me) who loved working and defined herself by her work accomplishments.
Happily, to everything there is a season.
