No big news here. I'm hosting a dinner party tomorrow night for friends here in Missouri. It'll be catered, so I'll merely set the table and make some ****tails.
Liz, check TT for a graph of my last 30 days' worth of daily weight fluctuations (I post my buck-naked morning weight every morning on My Fitness Pal.) As you will see, I can hop around pretty vigorously from day to day. I just assumed everyone else in the world does this, too. But maybe not.
That's all the news that's fit to print and fits.

I'd not even thought of that. Yes, I will--and will post the pix on Facebook instead of here.

Greetings all
It's another great fall day. It's so nice to have the back slider open all the time. The day will soon come when it's cold and rainy so I am concentrating on enjoying the weather that made us move here.
I am continuing to do my treadmill walking at the gym. I am this little mouse that sneaks in and out virtually unnoticed. Slow time. I climbed up on one of the elevated treadmills today because it had a better tv view. Not worth the effort as tv is too close and made my neck hurt - like sitting in the first row of the movies. Also made some owls at the studio and did banking.
Liz we love the wedding countdown. So glad the dress is working. And the table stuff looks great. Your DD is lucky to have family who likes to do this stuff. What did you do about your dress?
Yeah Peps you are right to just sort of go with it when your dad expresses some confused ideas. There is no point in arguing about this stuff. Better to provide some comfort in validation if it does not hurt anything. I so remember the confused woman at a dinner party trying to put forks and plates into her purse. Someone tried to gently talk her out of it to no effect. Her husband just returned the stuff later along with various other things. So it goes....
CC I can't believe Kirby is 1. Tee hee like a 16 year old who just got a drivers license.
Boxed mashed potatoes are horrid! Here is a secret: I worked at KFC in high school and made their mashed potatoes and they were indeed from a box. They also included a stick of margarine and a lot of salt and white pepper. Oddly the gravy was real and made the old fashioned way. I guess that was necessary to disguise the mashed potatoes.
Paula you are a scrap book maniac! Good on you for getting that done. Your kids will be glad for it. Plus I bet the process is fun in going through the memories.
Football game comes on in an hour. I will delay chili until tomorrow because DH brought home a reuben sandwich from lunch.
Ann enjoy the dinner party. Catering rocks.
Bonnie whiskey, meat and horror movies. The trifecta.

I am envying your new dedication to the treadmill. I'd rather walk outside but haven't had a lot of time to even do that. And this weekend we have the windy rainy unpleasantness. I need to institute a routine to get fit again when we get to Florida.
On the dress issue (proper support), I bought 2 longline bras. The first arrived and would work but it is just a little too too big. It doesn't come in a smaller size but I could sew it if I had to. I have a different model coming Monday in a smaller size which I hope will work so I can return the first one.

Instant mashed potatoes! When DH and I first got married he wasn't sure he liked my mashed potatoes because all he'd ever eaten as a kid were the instant kind. Also, he didn't like wheat bread, (especially the kind with any seeds or texture) or chunky peanut butter, or any salad except iceberg lettuce. One time when I was making rice, he asked me what I was doing. He only knew about Minute Rice. My MIL was many wonderful things, but she was not a good cook. Minnesota food in the 70s was pretty bland, but DH's family took it to a new level. He has recovered from those years of deprivation, and likes so many things now.
A good day at work, followed by a pedicure and then dinner on a lake side patio. The forecasted temperature change turned out to minimal, and we still made it to 80 today. We ran into the parents of one of DS's best friends (buddies since 1st grade) at the restaurant. We took a picture together to send our "boys". The friend lives in Seattle, and more than once his parents have mentioned how nice it would be for the" boys" if our DS moved there too. It's gratifying to know someone else likes your kid and values their friendship with their own child. We feel likewise.
Tomorrow's plan is coffee at our Irish place, and later a birthday party for the husband of one of my college roomies. My roomie and I were living together when we each met our respective husbands, so we all had a front row seat to "the courting". They got married about 6 weeks before us.
I have an appointment on Wednesday with the physician's assistant at my WLS clinic. They prescribe my Wegovy. Sometimes I think its overkill they want to see me every 4 months and the amount of bloodwork they do. Then other times I think how easy it would be to become malnourished with the double whammy of sleeve and drugs. In May, several indicators of iron deficiency were showing up.So I guess it's warranted in my case. I've looked at the reports from the draw I had this week, and I think they're better. We'll discuss Wednesday. Weight is steady, minimal side effects.
Do you take iron supplements? I have since WLS and up until now have been okay.
Your DH and mine must have had Moms with similar cooking philosophies. My DH also only knew Minute Rice and had only "expanded" to other rices by buying them in microwaveable packets (yuck IMO). He thinks it is such a big deal that I make both mashed potatoes and rice from scratch.
