I was never good at meal planning and prep (at least since I retired), so it didn't change that much for me.

Sending report of stunningly beautiful weather these last few days: seeing most everyone is experiencing the best of what late summer has to offer. I am down for this for the next couple of months save one exceedingly viscous freezing night so to kill all misquotes and their offspring grave yard dead.
Nothing much planned for the rest of the day except to show up for a wedding rehearsal. DH and I part of the program/usher crew. Dinner after at a restaurant we've not been to yet. There isn't a whole lot of choice in our neck of the woods and, frankly I can concoct and prepare a better menu than much of the fare offered around.
Wedding is tomorrow and while I'm happy for the brides, will be relieved to lose a seemingly endless amount of communication of silly minutiae ( such as reminders to be sure and steam the vests). I can only imagine what the participants of the main wedding party are enduring. I am sure the wedding will be lovely.
Enjoy the moment, all.
I don't think DD will be difficult about the wedding though with her wedding 2 weeks away she is assigning tasks.

Greetings all
The day started overcast but the sun is out in full. I can drive five miles and be in a whole different environment and weather pattern. A sign of old age is being fixated on the weather. Tee hee
Today I had enough stuff to do that I actually made a list. Got most of it done. I decided to go to the gym that I have been paying for all this time and walk on a treadmill. Ok I actually took the elevator up to the second floor where all the stuff is but at least I did it. The place was not too crowded. I got on this treadmill and it was so high off the ground I could barely step up. Turns out it's one of those fancy ones that inclines. The other ones that don't incline are much lower. Note to self: use the low one. It was actually easy to operate and I did a little extra time. I think it told me I burned 24 calories. Whoop de do. But it was all pretty painless and did not give me gym anxiety so I will likely go back. Also noted that the swimming pool was almost empty and that if you ride an exercise bike you can play games on your phone.
Hey Ann, so you have a rock farm! Hoping you get the right amount of rain. And that you find a new good book group when you move.
Safe travels Liz. You two really get around. Hats off. Do it while you can.
My other errands were a pharmacy stop and dog food stop. Then I went to the studio and made a few things. Snack of cottage cheese and a few crackers.
DH went to lunch at the chinese buffet and brought stuff home.
CC whats up with Kirby not wanting to retrieve from the water? Maybe it's beneath him. My dogs would not do that either but they would kill rodents if presented with the opportunity. At least Tesla would. Poppy is easily puzzled. Is the Clampet party still next door or have they moved on?
To the teachers: It's Friday!!!!!
Gallery duty tomorrow afternoon. After that, the football frenzy begins again.

LOL! Gym anxiety--that's a thing for me, too. Never heard that term for it, but it's real. For me, a new gym feels like I just joined a weird cult where the other cultists don't love-bomb me, but ignore me.
Yeah, my old book club here rocks. However, I'm already in a Kentucky book club that I love just as much: all women, super sharp, retired, and compatibility on many fronts.

So impressed you went to the gym, Diane! That's awesome!
Not sure Kirby thinks it's beneath him, he more seems confused by the concept after one or two throws. Like he doesn't understand why if we want the ball brought to us so badly, why do we keep throwing it away? Our goldens over the years have fallen into two camps -ball retrievers and non-ball retrievers. We're about half and half. He definitely retrieves things we don't want him to retrieve - shoes, dish towels, remotes, glasses, coasters, sleep eye masks...
The Clampets have mostly decamped!
