Weight 120. It still surprises me that it isn't budging out of the low end of my range but at least it isn't dropping. We went out for meatloaf Monday last night at our local restaurant with my SIL, and I ate a very healthy portion. BTW, I used to never eat meatloaf because my mother made a very dry version once a week when I was growing up so the thought just turned me off. Then I tried the meatloaf at this place and it is amazing (with great mashed potatoes and gravy too). Phenomenal comfort food.
Yesterday we made our way back to my house where we will probably more or less reside until October 1, when we move the furniture I am taking to DH's home there.
We are leaving in about 2 hours to visit Block Island, just off the Rhode Island coast, for 2 nights. It will take about a 2 hour drive to get to the ferry, then an hour long ride on the boat. The weather is supposed to continue to be gorgeous: Sunny, low 70's and low humidity. We plan to rent bikes to explore this tiny island.
I hope you all have a tremendous Tuesday!

Liz, your two-day mini-vacation sounds great.
Quick post this morning. I'm going to start recording my food on My Fitness Pal again, to see what I'm actually eating and how much. And yesterday I bought a month's worth of live probiotics at my pharmacy. I plan to do a month's worth of "science with a sample size of one" to see if it improves anything. Just want to be sure my body's benefitting as much as it can from what I'm eating.
Today I'll have lunch with my realtor and then get a manicure (couldn't do a walk-in yesterday). Tonight we'll watch the debate. And that's all from Lake Wobegon.

166.2, down a smidge again!
Stephen?s Ministry appointment cancelled today as my receiver?s kid has Covid. Nothing else was on the docket for today but I think DH and I might go out for a sandwich for dinner.
Made the overnight oats. I was underwhelmed with them. Need to look for another recipe as they didn?t seem creamy/wet enough. I did find a winner recipe on Tik Tok though, easy single serving cheesy hashbrowns. 291 calories and 21.6 grams of protein! Super filling! I had for lunch today! 1 1/4 C frozen hashbrowns, 1/4 C each of plain Greek yogurt, cottage cheese and shredded sharp cheddar. Salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder to taste. Mix and microwave until warm and cheese is melted. Comfort food for sure! Not quite as good as my cheesy hashbrown casserole with cornflake and butter topping, but pretty darn good!
Liz, your little trip to the island sounds wonderful. I love how you guys travel so much! Never a dull moment! Ann, good luck with the probiotic and let us know if there are any surprises after logging your food for a bit!
Tomorrow I make the 3 hour trip to my Mom?s to take her to her annual doctor?s appointment. Then on Thursday I will break her out of her Assisted Living place and bring her here for a week. She just turned 88 last month!
That recipe sounds good - I'll have to try that!

Liz, I agree, good meatloaf is a revelation, and mashed potatoes are heaven. I like to used caramelized onions when I make it. I like picturing you and DH biking around on a pretty little island. Could be an advertisement for how to live your best life.
Anne I think science experiments of one are an awesome way to gather data, and also another way to live your best life.
Another nice day. All that's missing is establishing my go work out routine now that school's back in session.
Today I recycled a folder that had a getting to know you survey I used last week. I won't be using it again. I have an electronic copy in a shared file, so no need to keep hard copies. It felt kind of nice, decluttering as I go.
Yep, last time for many things this year!

Greetings all
It's overcast today. Ho hum. Scrabble this morning. I beat the Shark soundly and won the second game but lost the third game horribly. Oh well, next week no one will remember. My friend lives in a very ordinary neighborhood but it backs up to a pretty large forest tract. An elderly woman has been missing for a couple of days and is believed to be in that forest. I saw a police search and rescue van near there today. I think it has the search dogs. Hoping she is found.
Meatloaf! It can be so good or so terrible! I bought some more 95% lean beef today so maybe I will make it. Meatloaf is not something I would order at a restaurant and I have bad memories of it from college but Liz it sounds like your place got it right. Mashed potatoes are the ultimate comfort food. What a great dinner. My childhood best friend used to put a brick of cream cheese in the mashed potatoes in her passive aggressive attempt to murder her in laws who were on the Pritikin diet.
And caramelized onions DD! What a great addition. Yum. Never thought of doing that. Years ago I used to make lamb meat loaf and put mint in it. It was great. DH will not let me bring any into the house. He hates the smell of it cooking.
Paula those potatoes sound great. Need to try that too. I might even start cooking again.
Last of the chili tonight then I start over.
FINALLY I have some pink sweet peas. The second bunch of them, that I thought was dead, has finally bloomed and has some pink. Yay.
Yep we will watch the debate and probably a lot of the blathering before and after. We are news junkies.
DH got a new tv for our bedroom. Think I will go take a nap and check it out. I had a lot of errands today including dog pills and liver sausage. Oy vey.

We are kind of news junkies too. I read the paper everyday, and probably watch too much news. My preference is to watch old school national news like CBS , and local news. Not as much whipping up hysteria. My Dad religiously watches PBS Newshour. Very calm delivery of even very serious news. I always forget it's on at 6pm here.
