I think DH had a good birthday yesterday. Last night we had a drink at the rooftop bar of one resort on the water and dinner at another one down the street. Beautiful views. I could only eat half of my small plate after having 1/4 of DH's salad but I enjoyed all of it. And I finally slept really well. Maybe being done with the picture sorting settled my mind?
Today will be busy doing laundry, cleaning, and packing up at DH's house. We have to make a dump run where the excess pictures that are here get disposed of (the remainder at my house will go out in the trash tomorrow morning). We drop Justice off at his caretaker's home late afternoon because we are going to Block Island tomorrow morning. This is DH's birthday trip originally set for last year but rescheduled due to extreme shoulder issues.
First a Justice walk is needed! Have a marathon Monday!

I woke up early and read all the posts since pre-Labor Day to catch up with everyone. You all sound pretty good to me. The knowledge and wisdom in this group is impressive and appreciated. Thanks to everyone for sharing.
I am in the mood this morning to stabilize my maintenance eating. I weighed and was lower (127) than I expected and about where I want to be now. Like most of us I am struggling to get enough protein. One thing I remembered this morning is that nuts (which used to be verboten because they are so high calorie) actually have protein. They also satisfy my appetite and quieten the food noise. Paula, I thought about your struggles to get in more protein and calories, so nuts may or may NOT be useful to you. As we say constantly, what works for each of us can be quite specific and peculiar compared to what works for others.
Lately I've been using more of the tools I learned decades ago like smaller bites, chewing longer, smaller plates, smaller forks, no liquids for half an hour after meals, etc. Those behaviors just make me feel comfy and calm.
And back in the real world, I have tons of first-day-back and Monday errands. Wishing everyone a productive day. Mine will not be a marathon Monday, but it will be at least a 5K Monday.

Sometimes nuts work for me, but sometimes they make me crave more. DH used to consume large quantities of nuts and would say they were healthy, but finally listened when I pointed out that one handful was a serving. He would eat 4-5 servings at a time.

Blink, Stretch, Yawn and a sunny good morning from SEKANSAS. Just back from an out and about with the Swann, stopping at porch for usual 5 minute pit stop for a face de-seeding session (just about the only downside to Autumn).
It's coffee with Kurt, then need to schedule some work to be completed- hate living with other's schedules, but stuff needs to get done and....
Labor Day has come and gone, but there are still plenty of end of summer fun to be had, so have at it and enjoy! Who knows, maybe after coffee, I just might have to forget about those calls till tomorrow
166.5, exactly the same! Food aversion/complete disinterest seems to be gone now but food noise still quieted, just what I am hoping for!
Helped DH with trimming bushes and it seems like he stirred up some ground bees. Sprayed the area with bee killer but they are still swarming. Will try and find the entrance later this evening and use bee killing powder. They are small little things but seem pretty angry to have been disturbed. No stings yet! Wondering if that is where Bella picked up the bee in her paw a week or so ago. Will have to let the dogs out the back door instead of the front door for a bit.
Still working on finishing up my scrapbooks. Did the last of the journaling today and will need to start cutting out titles on my Wishblade (cutting machine) and then finish putting it all on the pages and then into albums.
Beautiful day today. Sunny and warm but not hot! Fish tacos for dinner!
Scrapbooks! And I feel pleased about sorting pictures...
